00:05from 30 rockefeller plaza in new york it's late night with seth myers tonight alexander
00:13scars guard star of the burbs actress and comedian paul the bell an all-new closer look
00:28good evening i'm seth myers this is late night we hope you're doing well and now if you don't mind
00:32we're going to get to the news today was groundhog day and punksutawney phil
00:36predicted six more weeks of winter when he emerged from his burrow and immediately shattered
00:44according to analysis from the new york times the new batch of epstein files released by the
00:49justice department on friday contained more than 5 300 references to president trump they do who was
00:55in charge of redacting the files hillary clinton did the sh did the sharpie just run out of ink
01:04that's right the justice department released more documents from the jeffrey epstein files including
01:09180 000 images and i just gotta ask like what's with all the pictures i'm not trying to help
01:16anyone be a pedophile i'm just saying if i were going to a sex island i'd hope it was a
01:22phones off
01:23kind of deal these guys took pictures like they were making a coffee table book
01:30according to newly released documents jeffrey epstein corresponded with new york giants co-owner
01:35steve tish and appeared to connect tish with women the giants haven't been this embarrassed
01:39since well you know recently but still you never get used to it according to the same documents
01:47elon musk appeared to ask jeffrey epstein in 2012 if he could visit his island and said quote
01:52what day night will be the wildest party on your island i don't know if i had to guess the
01:58day you
02:02leave president trump criticized the grammy awards in a post early this morning on truth social and
02:07said the ceremony was quote virtually unwatchable and that's saying something coming from the guy
02:11who sat through melania twice president trump also threatened to sue grammy awards host trevor
02:20noah for joking that trump spent time on jeffrey epstein's island and said quote it looks like i'll
02:25be sending my lawyers to sue this poor pathetic talentless dope of an mc unfortunately his lawyer
02:30showed up to the wrong grammys i think they seem those grammys seem too happy to see him
02:42oh look rudy rudy's back that's right president trump threatened to sue trevor noah for joking that
02:49trump spent time on jeffrey epstein's island and said quote get ready noah i'm gonna have some fun with
02:54you which not for nothing sounds like something you might hear on epstein island so when asked last
03:00week what audiences will feel after watching first lady milani trump's new documentary president trump
03:05said quote it really brings back a glamour that you just don't see anymore and lord knows he's tried
03:15amtrak last week unveiled a limited edition so-called track suit inspired by its next-gen
03:20canicella fleet not to be confused with the new jersey transit track suit which is just a track suit
03:28and finally the florida fish and wildlife conservation commission issued an executive
03:33order last week allowing residents to collect green iguanas that have been temporarily paralyzed by cold
03:40temperatures and bring them to designated collection sites like this one
03:48just just just so much run up just to burn arby's
03:53i have so many questions about that news story but do we get to that no we just gotta burn
03:57arby's
03:59that was a monologue everybody
04:03you know from hit shows such as big little lies succession and true blood as well as films like the
04:09northman and the aftermath he's starring in pillion which is in select theaters this friday and
04:15nationwide on february 27th alexander skarsgard is here you guys he was a fantastic snl host this
04:23weekend and i'm looking forward to talking to him about that she is one of the funniest people uh
04:29i've ever met in my life she's a fantastic writer for close to 20 years she worked on saturday night
04:33live you also know her from work on girls 5 eva ap bio and the inside out movies she stars
04:39in the
04:39burbs which premieres february 8th on peacock my very good friend paula pell is back on the show
04:44everybody a couple of heavy hitters before we get to that the president and his family got a large
04:53investment from an abu dhabi royal for their private crypto company he's suing his own government for 10
04:58billion dollars and he's named in the new epstein files along with many other wealthy and powerful
05:02people for more on this it's time for a closer look first off congratulations to the trump family
05:12on melania which reportedly grossed over seven million dollars the best showing in a decade
05:16for a documentary excluding concert films and this must mean so much to the trump family as they are
05:21well-known documentary heads i can only imagine donald calling up melania as the news came in honey
05:27are you sitting down we beat winged migration i can't believe it either those dumb birds is right
05:35my love congratulations well to everyone involved in the making of the film including the director
05:41brett ratner seen here on the red carpet at the premiere oh wait hold on that's not a red carpet
05:46that's a picture of brett ratner from the mc files that were released this week and god can we not
05:50let
05:50him enjoy his day shame on us sadly the trumps can't bask for too long in the glow of their
05:57hollywood
05:58success because today is another one of those days where there are about half a dozen stories in the
06:02news that would be major scandals for any other president in fact it turns out that seven million
06:07dollar box office was nothing compared to what the trump family raked in from the middle east the
06:12wall street journal reports the trump family's cryptocurrency firm world liberty financial sold nearly half the
06:19company a 49 stake to a member of the emirati royal family before trump's inauguration months later the
06:27trump administration approved a deal to send highly coveted american ai computer chips to the uae
06:33an abu dhabi royal agreed to give the president's private crypto company world liberty financial half a
06:38billion dollars which in movie terms is like 71 melania's and in return the president gave his
06:44country access to tightly guarded american technology if you wanted to go back in time
06:48and give ben franklin an aneurysm all you'd have to do is read that sentence to him and then he
06:53would say just a couple questions what's abu dhabi what's crypto and what's a billion
06:58and then we would say it's too long to explain ben also we are still having no kings rallies
07:05and by the way world liberty doesn't even do anything or make anything it just sells invisible
07:11tokens they didn't have the decency to run a scam that even made a fungible product like even if they
07:17made chintzy trump-themed libubu knockoffs called le true true's you know that would be better because
07:23at least they need a factory by the way the same people who are cool with the president getting
07:29half a billion from a foreign government lost their when barack obama wore a tan suit and put dijon
07:34mustard on his burger and called him this is real president coupon they're also suing the government
07:42president that trump is in charge of president trump and two of his sons eric and donald trump jr are
07:47suing the irs and the treasury department the lawsuit stemmed from what they say was the unauthorized
07:54disclosure of the president's tax information during his first term an irs contractor pleaded guilty to
08:00that the trumps are seeking 10 billion dollars in damages 10 billion you know how you know a lawsuit is
08:08when you sue for a cartoonishly large and round number 10 billion his total irs budget is predicted
08:16to be around 11 billion dollars so donald trump is suing for almost the entire irs budget and i do
08:23feel
08:23like he should know those numbers because it's his government by the way not only is he suing the
08:29government that he's currently in charge of he's suing over something that happened in 2020 when he was
08:33also president this is like the coach of the new york jets suing the new york jets for emotional
08:38trauma they never know the plays no one's ever prepared and now the same party that used to
08:45pretend to care about the constitution and fiscal discipline is claiming the president can just
08:49write himself a check for whatever he wants it's very interesting i have another one where you know
08:59i've virtually won the mar-a-lago break-in suit and you know i have to work out some kind
09:05of a
09:05settlement i'm supposed to work out a settlement with myself hey man if you're trying to work out
09:10anything with yourself make it while you keep trying to fill the hole in your heart with money and it's
09:14still an empty cavern of loneliness my therapist my therapist keeps saying i need to have a talk with
09:23donald and i always say no thanks that guy seems like a dick wears a tuxedo on an airplane
09:31pretty dicky thing to do but of course trump doesn't actually care about justice he just wants
09:37to get paid which is why it's so funny he says this it's very interesting oh man he makes it
09:48sound
09:49like he's drawn to this lawsuit because of the intellectual challenge you know it's very
09:52interesting it's fascinating really because there's one outcome where i don't get money and
09:56another one where i do so there's really no telling which way i'll end so the president wants to give
10:02himself 10 billion dollars of taxpayer money but the country doesn't even have time to focus on that
10:07because he's also arresting journalists and sending his masked paramilitary force to violently
10:11occupy american cities and his own intelligence director was seen mysteriously lurking in the shadows
10:16during a raid at an elections office this week an unprecedented raid unfolded in georgia when the
10:22fbi carried out a search warrant wednesday at an election center in fulton county seeking 2020 in
10:27person and absentee balance tabulator tapes and voter rolls and while agents loaded up boxes with
10:33these materials photographs showed tulsi gabbard the director of national intelligence in other words
10:39the united states top spy leader was on the scene speaking on the phone she was seen literally
10:44creeping in the shadows of the trump administration's latest abuse of power that's gabbard last night
10:50at the edge of a loading bay at the elections office of fulton county georgia while the facility
10:55was being raided by the fbi this brings us to a segment called seth has a very complicated question
11:08seriously what's going on here why is the director of national intelligence lurking in the shadows
11:13during an fbi raid at a georgia elections office and also why is she so bad and lurking
11:19you're supposed to be our top spy we see you your black hat isn't fooling anyone it doesn't
11:24turn you invisible this is like when you play with a five-year-old and they crouch behind a chair
11:28and you have to loudly say oh my goodness where could tulsi be
11:34by the way i'm not the only one who's at a loss to explain what's going on here even the
11:38justice
11:39department claims they have no clue why was the director of national intelligence tulsi gabbard
11:44present at a an fbi raid
11:49first of all it wasn't an fbi raid um it was a a search warrant being executed by
11:54by fbi agents in the middle of the day why was she why was she there and secondly i don't
12:00i secondly i don't know why the director was there i i don't know why the director was there my
12:07best
12:07guess is she's taking a series of photos for a children's book in which the goal is to identify
12:11where she's hiding so it's just been one scandal after another but all of that took a back seat on
12:17friday when the justice department released another batch of epstein files a story the president
12:21and his administration have been desperately trying to make go away i mean seriously how is it possible
12:26that this story has faded so quickly from the front pages remember when we learned that our
12:32wealthiest and most powerful people were connected to a guy who ran a literal child sex
12:36trafficking ring and then that guy died mysteriously in a jail and now we just don't talk about it wait
12:41sorry that wasn't me saying that i was quoting the vice president who tweeted those exact words
12:48almost five years ago now now wait but in fairness jd vance has been consistent he's been talking a lot
12:56about the epstein scandal a lot even when it's uncomfortable for his boss who was the statler to
13:02epstein's waldorf i mean here are all the times vance has discussed the latest batch of epstein bombshells
13:08since friday just kidding i was full these latest epstein files are truly shocking they reveal a world
13:17of wealthy and powerful people on both sides of the aisle who were deeply connected to a notorious sex
13:21trafficker and who lied about those connections that includes prominent democrats and republicans
13:25among them the president and several of his closest allies the justice department's final
13:30epstein files release the revelations we've uncovered so far and the big names mentioned
13:35including elon musk former president clinton and president trump there's also a huge blast radius
13:41of so many people uh bill clinton howard lutnik the files released today indicate president trump's
13:47current commerce secretary howard lutnik apparently did plan a visit to epstein's island you have names
13:53like bill gates or larry summers billionaire richard branson shows up in the files too hosting epstein
13:59twice and exchanging friendly emails in 2013 new york giants co-owner steve tisch shows up hundreds of
14:07times in a number of emails musk and epstein seem to be discussing plans for musk to visit epstein's
14:13private island in the caribbean and one 2012 email musk asking what day night will be the wildest party on
14:20your island you know sometimes i think elon musk is a lump with no charisma but then he writes a
14:25line
14:25of poetry like what day slash night will be the wildest party on your island and i stand correct
14:31what day night will be the wildest party on your island is not a question you should ever ask anyone
14:36but especially not a guy who at that point was already a registered sex offender you're being about
14:41as slick as tulsi gabbard at an fbi raid we're living in maga's warped world where everything is
14:48upside down and nothing matters except who has power and who does not they hail violent january 6
14:53rioters as heroes and call peaceful ice protesters domestic terrorists hunter biden sells a painting
14:59they say he's part of a crime family but the trump's sell half a coin company to an abu dhabi
15:03royal
15:03and it's just businessmen doing deals the feds raid mar-a-lago looking for stolen classified
15:08documents and find them and maga calls that lawfare but the feds raid an election office looking for
15:13non-existent evidence of a disproven conspiracy theory and they say it's just the normal course of
15:18investigation the government rounds up children and families and citizens and claims they're
15:22going after the worst of the worst while at the same time they cover up for wealthy and powerful
15:25elites named in the emails of a guy who is actually the worst of the worst all they've done is
15:30proven
15:31once again that they believe in nothing other than power our elites and institutions have lost
15:35all credibility their only consistent principle is that they are full of this has been a close show
15:52for more of set's closer looks be sure to subscribe to late night on youtube
16:07our first guest tonight is an emmy award-winning actor you know from shows like big little lies
16:12succession and true blood and films such as the north man he stars in pillion well it's been select

17:41hey welcome back
17:43i mean uh i really got to compliment the pants right off the bat thank you really good
17:49very on brand very on brand if you're going to promote a bdsm biker movie
17:55yeah those are the pants yeah you should see my underwear
18:00knowing you we might like i never know how it's going to break there oh yeah there you go
18:04you know last time you were here it was 2016 and we were talking about tarzan yeah and uh
18:09this was you were teaching me how to i think do a roar but i was looking at this and
18:13that that
18:16this could be a still from your new film this could be familiar down boy
18:20i want to talk about the movie uh but i also want to compliment you we talked a little bit
18:26backstage uh you had your first snl experience on saturday bravo yeah yeah yeah
18:30really great yeah thank you thank you very much yeah uh were you happy with how it went
18:35yeah i mean i got back from the afterport about 30 minutes ago yeah
18:40it was quite a night yeah yeah the whole week was absolutely insane but i i loved it
18:46it was great uh you were great i was very happy to see uh we have a friend in common
18:50uh our dear
18:50friend jack mcbrayer showed up in weekend update yeah um you've known jack for a long did jack uh did
18:56jack
18:56prepare you at all for what was going to be asked to do he took me to a show eight
19:01nine years ago
19:02yeah that um just like hanging out backstage which was so i'm glad i've had that experience prior to
19:08like but it still doesn't prepare you for hosting yeah it's there's nothing because just like the
19:13the whole week with the just like because basically have 40 skits to kind of work on yeah
19:18wednesday you have no idea what you're going to do on the saturday i'd never read cue cards before so
19:22that was scary um i was yeah i was like terrified and excited at the same time and i like
19:29that you
19:29played things that you played before like tarzan and then things that i want to see you play more
19:33of like teenage girls there was one of my i mean i love a dummy getting thrown out a window
19:41who
19:41doesn't who doesn't but like i that was maybe my you know in 50 plus years of snl i think
19:46that might be
19:46one of the great dummy sketches of all time it was yeah it was elaborate and uh we but as
19:52you know you
19:52get three minutes to rehearse it so like you you're well prepared yeah uh but yeah now it was uh
19:59they were very nice i i had that one dream of playing a seven-year-old girl at some point
20:04in
20:04my life yeah and you always this was the moment you always worry you're going to age out of it
20:08i was also uh delighted to see your father stop by um yeah was he is he someone was he
20:17very game
20:18uh to do sketches when you offered it to him incredibly game like almost two game yeah yeah
20:23yeah yeah because he was like he called me i mean he was back in stockholm so i'm incredibly um
20:29honored
20:30and that that he wanted to kind of fly out for that uh and um anybody was also like oh
20:36he started
20:37pitching me ideas on the phone he was like what if i'm a uh a human-sized condom
20:44and i and i go sit uh at the desk and i talk about um um maybe maybe i'm broken
20:50and i've
20:51impregnated i was like okay dad like i like by the way i'm such a fan of your dad he
20:56did such
20:57incredible work and sentimental value this year and i'm also so happy i'm so happy that his ideas
21:02are as bad as any dad's idea like it really it really brings it home to me i'm like oh
21:06at the end
21:07he's just a dad um pillion uh is a fantastic film um you uh before you play a biker in
21:14the film or
21:14someone who's in a biker uh club i guess it would be more of a club than a gang yeah
21:18yeah yeah um uh
21:20uh did you do you actually did some research right you you met with some guys who were in a
21:24club
21:24well we also have uh the the other bikers in the movie most of them are members of gb mcc
21:30the gay biker
21:31motorcycle club in in the uk um so yeah we that was obviously tremendously helpful
21:36for for us actors uh because i made sure that everything was legit to like everything from
21:43like the tone of the scenes to like they brought their own dildos and brought their own lube
21:48and they'd be like that that is prop lube you wouldn't use that right yeah in a big orgy so
21:54uh
21:55you know it's all about the details yeah yeah i mean i've worked on some where you're not supposed
22:00to bring your own dildos and then i hate those jobs yeah then you show up with them everybody looks
22:05you sideways and you're like people like sometimes get a little offended when you bring your own
22:09dildo like you're like is this not byod but when you watch the movie there's one red one and it's
22:16this size yeah so it's tiny yeah uh that's interesting that they i didn't realize the actual
22:24actors were uh members of the club because i would imagine you know you make a film like this you
22:28want
22:28to get it right you talk to people ahead of time but we actually have them on set like that
22:32really does
22:32make sure yeah not all of them but right quite a few of them and then a couple of guys
22:36were from
22:36the london kink scene yeah um yeah but tremendously helpful obviously and they were they were so lovely
22:43and generous with their time and just like making sure that harry uh melling who plays colin and and i
22:50felt like part of the gang it was really special uh a pillion i i will admit i did not
22:55know what that
22:56meant when the movie started i'm like oh one of these fellas names is going to be pillion
22:59um it's not did you know what what a pillion was before you made the film i did not okay
23:03no no so
23:04what is a pillion i have no idea okay well maybe there'll be maybe there'll be a sequel and we'll
23:10find out yeah you'll be in the sequel i would love to but you know it's the it's the back
23:14seat of a
23:15motorcycle gotcha the passengers okay but it's also the person sitting on it so oh you call it so it's
23:20both the seat and the person yeah so harry his character colin is a pillion in the movie gotcha
23:25well that makes perfect sense my sub uh you uh you also uh my little sub your little sub uh
23:34you've
23:35got uh uh wicker coming out olivia coleman yeah and then um also you were in the moment with charlie
23:40xcx uh very funny and uh when when you uh were contacted about being in a film with charlie xcx
23:48this
23:48was not you did not have to do research about uh brat summer i was all about the brat summer
23:53baby you were
23:54already oh yeah you're you're telling me dead seriously you were living a brat summer when
23:58you got the call and i i can prove it okay because i got the the the spotify wrap oh
24:05yeah at the end
24:06of the year um and she was number two 24 on my spotify who was number one it was obviously
24:12aishi
24:12otaki okay um yeah yeah we have a we can leave it Japanese pop star from the 70s
24:20uh household name was aisha otaki was this the first year that she had appeared on your spotify
24:27rap or is she like an every year uh he oh sorry yeah yeah i'm so i'm so embarrassed that
24:34uh yeah uh
24:35uh uh no he was he just stormed in there and took over the whole year he was like my
24:41i had an aishotaki 2024 gotcha and then a little brat brat summer what was the gateway to aishotaki how
24:48do you discover a 70s uh uh japanese pop star in a noodle shop in toronto great
24:54true i was there shooting and i was like this is a banger it was incredible oh really so did
24:59you
24:59and then did you ask did you have to ask yeah yeah yeah uh so what is this and they're
25:03like
25:04aishotaki and then and then i went deep clearly because it was my my most played artist yeah uh
25:09he's incredible by the way that's great i mean no trust me a lot of our guests talk about him
25:14um
25:16or her or her or her yeah uh uh i know you have a you have a young child and
25:22i'm wondering uh too
25:23young to watch anything you've been in at this point he's three yeah um so not pillion obsessed with
25:30pillion he loved it i mean he only wants to wear leather now yeah that's the thing about kids you
25:40did i mean they're not all they really care about is the clothes so they can watch pillion yeah and
25:44the harness is great because you can hold on and you can get away from you a lot of that
25:48a lot
25:48of that bdsm stuff is really good for just kids just like toddler stuff yeah well um the leash is
25:54great that's great i mean i i feel like this just uh this would be the best place to end
25:58it it'll
25:59just make it easier for the lawyers to edit it oh we're leaving it all in hey uh what a
26:06delight to
26:06see you again uh congrats on everything and again great to have a great

28:39to me all
28:43you don't even ask her like did you finish like lasagna
28:50you don't ask her if she's finished with her orgasm
28:54okay because you want to you want to pay attention to the road when you're driving
29:00i'm just surprised i i don't know who raised you but i'm surprised yes i am pregnant i am
29:05pregnant okay and was this uh were you planning on this was this i was not planning on it and
29:10my wife shoots blanks so i don't know
29:15i was very shocked to see it slowly happening and i was eating more emotional eating i will admit
29:22um i lost a little weight this year and i started gaining back and i'm like what the hell i'm
29:26on the
29:26shots but um but i was not totally surprised because i've always had this one i had one egg left
29:35and it was very hearty and it kind of is always rattled around i could hear it in there like
29:42a
29:42penny in the dryer and so i wasn't completely completely shocked by it and i do have like
29:50i've gone back i've been in therapy about it trying to think back when did this happen yeah right and
29:55i
29:55think i figured it out last spring i oh oh last spring i was on the subway and it stopped
30:05fast
30:05and i fell backwards on a guy okay and i was not wearing underwear as i don't and i was
30:15wearing
30:16a sundress but i'm plus size and it rode up like a shirt so i was you know bush league
30:21and i fell back
30:24and i was sitting there bouncing until my next stop and um it was funny because he was just i
30:30mean he
30:30was hard to miss he was a big tall swedish guy he was he had like a lot of i
30:39think he had i saw his
30:39name today he had like a lot of a's in his name and he had a a in the back
30:44of his pants let me tell
30:45you um is it i'm sorry to interrupt is this is there any chance this is um alexander skarsgard
30:53could be is that a is that a guy that you know that was our first that was our first
30:58guest a lot
31:00handsome swedish guy no does he work a lot does he make good yeah oh does he make good bank
31:07yeah
31:08no he's a very he's a very successful actor i think probably really and attractive i mean he
31:13was attractive yeah yeah yeah i'm three percent straight so yeah i would say he's very attractive
31:19up to four percent because he was cute he was cute um but he's here you know and uh tonight
31:25yeah and
31:27uh i mean do you think it's if it's likely him like would you want to meet him
31:36you know what paula i i do think that i i probably would well you know what i think he
31:44would want to
31:54meet you
31:55so it seems like he maybe drove off
32:02i'm feeling weird oh boy is this how long ago did you say it was about nine months and 10
32:08days oh my
32:09god is this do we think paula is this maybe do you feel like this might be it guys oh
32:14boy you guys
32:15chat can i just i don't oh oh no oh paula can i help at all is there anything oh
32:23god paula
32:25do you have a doctor do you have a doctor paula oh my god paula i don't know am i
32:33supposed to see
32:34this as your friend oh god okay oh my god paula are you all right oh oh my god oh
32:42my god i don't
32:42hear i feel like we should hear crying what i just it was a vegan ham
33:00i shoplifted this at christmas i completely forgot about it i can't believe it stayed in there because
33:07i'm 62. i can't even sit on a bar stool you know what i mean ladies wow so we really
33:13got to the bottom
33:14of that mystery so how long have you guys lived here
33:44for me just a couple years i wanted something with nature but my wife's idea of outdoorsyness
33:50is like a restaurant with a patio so this was our compromise and then she got deployed she's in
33:57the military too cannot confirm or deny honestly despite what two decades of daytime television tell
34:06you there are a lot of people that don't care for middle-aged lesbians but i felt welcome for the
34:12most part welcome back everybody we're here with paula from the burbs uh before
34:21before we get to the burbs look at how flat my stomach is now oh my god it's amazing i
34:27can't
34:27believe so we um we got to collaborate uh one more time which was really the best um we got
34:32to work on
34:33the snl 50th together um we're writers on a show we won emmys look at you there an emmy winner
34:39and uh
34:39you also wrote maybe the highlight on the weekend was uh bobby and marty at the homecoming reunion
34:48we had so much fun this was uh this is uh you know it's a little bit hard to see
34:52but this is
34:53really some of my favorite writers of all time we got to sit around the rewrite table uh one last
34:57uh
34:58uh one last rodeo and uh i just had the best uh week it was so great to spend it
35:03with you again and it
35:04was incredible yeah it was incredible i was trying to avoid because we would say like this
35:09we're probably not going to have another special like another 50 what is it 60 70. we started all
35:14doing the math on our live lifespans and we were like i don't know um so but it was it
35:20was fantastic
35:21and i was exhausted in that old school way and oh yeah it was uh it was it was the
35:26whole thing was
35:26wonderful um and it's also wonderful to see you on camera as well uh the burbs this is based on
35:31the 1989
35:32film yes and uh uh sort of a reimagining of sorts yeah it's it's like an ode to it it's
35:37not you know
35:38directly related in a lot of ways but it it has a sort of an affectionate uh ode to that
35:45movie and
35:46i don't know if you guys or your parents or your grandparents have ever seen the movie the burbs but
35:51it was with tom hanks yeah and it and it was one of those you know tom hanks is always
35:56you expect
35:57it to be this heartwarming thing and then it was creepy it was creepy as hell and it involved
36:02murder and all this so this is a reimagining and kiki palmer is basically playing the tom hanks role
36:08she moves into the white suburbs with her british husband with their baby and she's exhausted she's
36:15a new mom and and she moves into this like vacuum of this cul-de-sac of all these weird
36:21neighbors that
36:21are very involved with each other and very like mundane but also there's weird going on you know
36:28you play a retired military lesbian i'm not retired yes well yeah i'm just not yes i am retired
36:35um there's so many secrets in it i can't tell you things so i'm so afraid i'm gonna i'm gonna
36:40let
36:41something out of the bag like i had that bait like i had that ham um that a secret is
36:47gonna fall out of
36:47my twat um but uh it's very i love that you made it an analogy and then you were not
36:56confident
36:57they knew what you were talking about and so you really hammered home and my mom just went twat jeez
37:03um i learned the word from you mom um anyway uh the the show is so juicy it's so funny
37:11but it's also
37:12touching it has a lot of heart stuff it's about protecting your neighbors and about this weird
37:18world of this if this very like this vacuum of a pristine neighborhood where everyone's yard is you
37:25know perfect and but everyone is in the window like this what's he doing what's she doing what's
37:30she you know and um i play a a person that you know wants to be the protector of all
37:36the the bulldog
37:37of all to get out there and protect kiki and protect kiki's character and i i'm very uh you
37:44know very caring and everything but i'm also a little bit of a chicken so it's it's a funny
37:49character to play in real life you're a real i i you are a caretaker for a great many um
37:53rescue
37:54animals yes this is well cast yes yes you uh are you also uh a film you wrote and produced
38:03the fifth
38:04wheel is going yes my wife and i janine brito is a brilliant writer she and i wrote a comedy
38:09movie
38:09that just started shooting we're two weeks into shooting and uh in california and it is so much fun
38:16it's about female friendship and it's got a whole bunch of comedy ladies in it and and a couple comedy
38:23males males that's how you call you guys comedy males comedy males comedy comedy penis holders and um
38:32and it's just it from the beginning to the end of us writing it we did nothing but laugh but
38:38also
38:38it's very heart heart as my niece says heart itch she always says heart itch that it has heart itch
38:44and it's um we have fortune feimster who's ungodly funny we have brenda song who's incredible we have
38:53nikki glazer and we have ms kim kardashian that's really good and kim is just like amazing with these
39:01gals because she plays a character that's i'm not i don't want to give away anything once again ham out
39:06of toilet toilet toilet toilet is that what i call this thing is a toilet good lord um but i
39:15don't want
39:15to give anything away except she's an interloper on their friendship circle it's very uh heart-filling but
39:22very hard comedy funny and dirty well i think that anybody who's watched uh this segment and everything
