Guitar lesson/tutorial on how to play "Mr. Jones" by Counting Crows. My guitar is tuned down a half step. I guess there's not much more to say. I hope you enjoy! AS USUAL, DON'T TAKE IT TOO SERIOUSLY!

00:11hey what's up everybody and welcome back to another video today's going to be counting crows
00:17mr jones if you like the video please hit that like button subscribe down below truly truly
00:24appreciate it counting crows mr jones stick around okay so mr jones by the counting crows uh pretty
00:32straightforward it's the same chord progression in a way throughout the song with just a certain
00:39different variation for the verse and the chorus the verse comes in as
00:52so
01:13boy that sounds out of tune uh yeah so the first time through it's a minor open starting on the
01:22a
01:22open two two one open to an f to a f barring the first fret three three two on the
01:31a d and g then
01:34you go to d minor which is uh kind of like open three two one instead of a regular d
01:42you move that
01:44second fret on the e string down one half step minor so again a minor f d minor sorry
01:57to g three two open open three three that go that's the first time through and then right after
02:06right after you do that you go right into an a minor again to f to a g instead no
02:15d minor
02:19for two for two counts so instead of the d which would be all four chords the g makes up
02:28for the
02:28d minor and then you go g again so the g just stays an extra set and that's literally the
02:36whole verse
02:36all the verses whenever he whenever there's a verse yeah that's you yeah verse verse verse
02:43whenever there's a verse that's the chord progression and then basically after that
02:49when the chorus comes in mr jones and me when the mr jones and me comes in
02:55it's similar except the a minor basically changes to a c and there's no d minor so you you you
03:02for mr jones
03:03mr jones and me
03:07g and i do and then we stay on the g
03:10c and
03:14g so c f g and a c of course is uh i mean three a two d open g
03:24one and open g open e if you want to do the open i barely even hit that open i
03:28don't yeah
03:29i guess if you're strumming all six you know so mr jones and me
03:35coming through
03:37you
03:37you
03:49you
03:53and with the exception of what's next that is the entire song now the bridge when it slows down
04:02oh i want to be a lion
04:06that that that whole thing it's a minor ring out
04:26i want to be a big big star and g so it's you you don't strum and you're just letting
04:37it ring out so a minor ringing out
04:39f
04:41to a minor again
04:43to g
04:44to a minor
04:48to f
04:50to a minor
04:53to g
04:57and then
04:58that's it
04:59so uh
05:01yeah
05:02that is basically
05:03what you need to know
05:05for mr jones by counting crow
05:08okay so that'll do it for another video
05:10until next time
05:11see
05:11you
05:12later
05:14badoosh
