00:12I honestly thought when he didn't show up that he was just out with the guys.
00:17People go into Kensington and are never seen again.
00:20Why would Keith wipe his own car down?
00:24Someone else probably did that.
00:27Keith is definitely riding with a rough group of guys.
00:30The Warlock's reputation in Philadelphia is violence, drugs, and guns.
00:35They're prepared to shoot it out with SWAT.
00:38I heard it, boom!
00:40He's like, yo, I just got shot.
00:42I'm like, what? What do you mean you just got shot?
00:44There was a lot of blood on the walls, high-velocity blood spatter.
00:49There's nothing more hated than a rat or a snitch.
00:52Nothing.
00:54This dude's s*** ain't gonna kill me, bro.
00:56They were ambushed, says the two to me.
00:58It appeared that there were fresh scratches in the marble surrounding the grave.
01:04You're in, like, uncharted territory here.
01:06I was like, holy s***.
01:30As a cop, a lot of the missing persons cases I worked were pretty similar.
01:34Often they involved drug use, affairs, or people that just didn't want to be found.
01:39But the disappearance of Keith Palumbo was a whole different animal.
01:43And Philly police had no idea just how dark and disturbing it would become.
01:53On February 10th of 2020, a woman by the name of Dottie Palumbo went to the Upper Derby Police Department
02:00and reported her son, Keith Palumbo, who was 36 at the time, as missing.
02:07Dottie Palumbo was very concerned that Keith had not contacted her for four days, something that he's never done before.
02:14The night that he last saw his mother, he came in, grabbed a couple slices of pizza,
02:20and he told his mother that he was going out for the evening, and that he had her car,
02:25and that if he needed anything, to just contact him.
02:29Unlike any other time, Keith had come in that night very fast.
02:33He was very anxious.
02:34And she felt that there was something wrong, almost like that mother's intuition, that instinct.
02:38When she last saw him leaving the house, he had a burgundy flannel shirt on and a vest.
02:44And he's wearing a gold guitar pick necklace that his mom had given him.
02:49And on it, it said, Keith never let the music stop.
02:52Love, Mom.
02:55Upper Derby Township is a blue-collar suburb on the western edge of Philadelphia.
02:59Detectives there start by reaching out to people in the community who might know where Keith could be.
03:05I first heard that Keith was missing.
03:08I got a call from Upper Derby Detectives asking, do you know Keith Plumbo?
03:14I said, yeah, of course.
03:15He's one of my best friends.
03:18Keith, from the first time I met him, he was just cool, man.
03:21He had natural talent in pretty much everything he did.
03:24He was always drawing.
03:26Just an amazing tattoo artist as well.
03:28He was such a good artist, so when I got my tattoos, I just let him practice on me because
03:36he could draw anything.
03:39But everybody thought that he was going to be like a rock star.
03:44Everybody.
03:48Oh, he was amazing.
03:49Keith was an amazing musician.
03:52He played in a band, Close Casket.
03:55It was like heavy death metal.
03:57I used to basically hang out in my friend's basement almost every day while they practiced.
04:02We were friends.
04:03But Keith and I started going out shortly before he went missing.
04:09I last spoke to Keith, I want to say around, like, 9 o'clock p.m., the day that he
04:15went missing.
04:17He had texted me that he was coming to my house that night.
04:21I honestly thought when he didn't show up that he was just out with the guys all night.
04:25I didn't immediately think anything of it, but then when, like, two days went by and I was still getting
04:31his voicemail, I knew something was wrong.
04:34His mom or his brother or somebody in his family always knew where he was.
04:40So when he was missing, that's why it was so urgent that everybody find him.
04:47Multiple people tell detectives that if anyone knows where Keith might be, it's his childhood friend, Mike DeLuca.
04:56Throughout the investigation, one name that kept coming up was Mike DeLuca.
04:59He was very well known to the police officers here in Upper Army Township.
05:05The simplest way to describe Mike DeLuca is he stands out.
05:09Short in stature, stocky, he had a shaved head and he was covered in tattoos.
05:14You would not forget Mike's face or Mike's presence.
05:17I guess if you were to meet him for the first time, I would say somewhat of an intimidating person.
05:22And Michael DeLuca had been in prison for several years for an incident where he was convicted of aggravated assault.
05:30Mike definitely had a rough upbringing, rough childhood.
05:34But he actually reached out to me when he first got out of prison.
05:39I could hear my old friend through the phone.
05:41I could still sense the good in him.
05:44And Keith had been hanging out with Mike a lot since DeLuca got out of jail.
05:48And I didn't see anything wrong with that.
05:51Mike was, he was one of us.
05:55Upper Darby detectives attempt to track down DeLuca in the neighborhood.
05:58But he's nowhere to be found.
06:02Keith and Mike DeLuca went missing the first week of February.
06:07And we're like, something's not right here.
06:10They're connected.
06:12Maybe Mike and Keith are hurt or in trouble.
06:15And they were just laying low or hiding.
06:1824 hours into the investigation, detectives request a search warrant for Keith's cell phone records.
06:24They then enter his mother's car into the national database for stolen vehicles.
06:28And they soon get their first break in the case.
06:35Dottie Palumbo's vehicle was located in the Kensington section of Philadelphia.
06:40That was key to the case because now they had the vehicle that they knew that Keith was in when
06:47he went missing.
06:49Patrol officers noted that the car had been sitting for a day or two unattended.
06:54And that area is a very, very distressed area.
06:59It's known for a very high volume of drug trafficking.
07:04According to his friends and family, Keith Palumbo struggled with drugs for years.
07:09It kind of threw us off when the car was found in Kensington.
07:12Because in the back of your mind, you think, you know, well, Keith has had a history of drugs.
07:17And he overcame his addiction.
07:19You think, well, what if he relapsed?
07:21I'm thinking maybe Keith got hooked on heroin because people go into Kensington and are never seen again.
07:32So first you're going to look, inspect the car as much as you can.
07:36You're looking for blood.
07:37You're looking for hairs.
07:39You're looking for fibers.
07:41But time is of the essence right now.
07:43So you're hoping maybe you get a fingerprint.
07:45That would be your best bet.
07:49Unfortunately, they were unable to recover anything.
07:54It appeared to them that the car had been wiped clean.
07:57There should have been fingerprints on the car.
07:59Even Keith's mother's fingerprints should have been on the car.
08:03Why would Keith wipe his own car down?
08:07Someone else probably did that.
08:15Detectives are now convinced that Keith was the victim of a crime.
08:19Armed with this new information, they re-interview his family and friends.
08:24Initially, when the detectives first called and I found out Keith was missing,
08:28I was a little hesitant to talk to them because I didn't want to jeopardize Keith
08:32or maybe get him in trouble.
08:33But later on, it became real.
08:36Like, yeah, he's really missing.
08:38And I told the detectives what I knew.
08:42I told them about the last time I spoke to Keith.
08:50Ten days prior, I get a random phone call from a random number.
08:56It's probably like midnight, and it's Keith.
08:59And he's like, yo, I just got shot.
09:01I'm like, what?
09:01I'm like, you're joking.
09:03What are you talking about?
09:04What do you mean you just got shot?
09:18Detectives have just learned that ten days before Keith Palumbo went missing,
09:22he called his best friend in the middle of the night to deliver some shocking news.
09:29It's not every day your best friend calls you up and tells you that they got shot.
09:33I'm like, you know, what are you talking about?
09:35But he just said, I got shot in the leg.
09:37He's like, but I'm okay.
09:42Keith called me at about 12.30, 1 o'clock that night.
09:46He told me he had two bullets in his leg, and his one friend had shot him.
09:51When I heard that he got shot, I was freaking out.
09:53I told him to get to the hospital right away, go get help.
09:57And why are you hanging out with these people that are shooting you?
10:01He didn't want to tell me who shot him or if he knew who shot him or any details.
10:07But there was, like, a little bit of, like, panic in his voice,
10:12concern that whoever had shot him might come back for more.
10:19Detectives look into the shooting that occurred ten days before Keith went missing.
10:23When you go into the hospital with a gunshot wound,
10:26hospitals are obligated to notify the police.
10:29But he was uncooperable with the police at the time.
10:33He wouldn't tell the police how he had gotten shot, where it had happened, or who did it.
10:39You got to believe that being shot before he's been reported missing
10:43is connected somehow to his disappearance.
10:46At this point, I'm thinking Keith's dead.
10:50We just haven't found him yet.
10:53By late February 2020,
10:55friends and family have not heard from Keith Palumbo
10:59or his friend Mike DeLuca for over two weeks.
11:03Detectives look closer into DeLuca
11:04and discover he is a member of the Philadelphia biker gang,
11:07the Warlocks.
11:10The Warlocks' reputation in Philadelphia is violence, drugs, and guns.
11:14Methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin.
11:18Keith was not in the Warlocks.
11:20He was not a prospect for the Warlocks.
11:22But some of his friends were, including Mike DeLuca.
11:24And that starts to get police concerned.
11:28I did not ever meet any of the friends he was hanging out with at the time.
11:33But it didn't sound like the best of people to be hanging out with.
11:36So I was definitely scared for him and in general.
11:41I think Keith was definitely riding with a rough group of guys.
11:45But with all that being said, I knew Keith was in good hands.
11:49Mike was going to look after him.
11:52Detectives wonder if Keith's childhood friend, Mike DeLuca,
11:55got them both in over their heads.
11:58It's one of many questions friends and family ask themselves
12:01as they search for answers.
12:04Did something happen to Keith?
12:06Did something happen to Mike?
12:07Did something happen to both of them at the same time?
12:09I didn't personally know Mike DeLuca, but it was awful not knowing where Keith was.
12:16I was super worried about him.
12:18He wouldn't just fall off the face of the earth like that and not tell us.
12:22There was a bunch of rumors going around.
12:25So I don't know what was true, what wasn't true.
12:29But I was doing what everybody else was doing.
12:32We were commenting on the Facebook post trying to find him.
12:36It's a sickening feeling because he's not only my best friend, but like my brother.
12:42So you're racking your brain night and day.
12:45Where is he?
12:47You want to hold out hope, right?
12:50Because that's all you have.
12:54After almost two months of looking for Keith and Mike,
12:57detectives finally make some progress.
13:00They're conducting countless interviews,
13:03and they're speaking with what I'll describe as confidential informant sources.
13:07That's what drew them to Bucky Evans.
13:10Buck Evans was pretty well known as a low-level criminal down in Delaware County.
13:16Drug dealing, burglaries, gun arrests,
13:19and he was also a known member of the Warlocks Motorcycle Club.
13:24Investigators are being told that Bucky Evans is out there telling people
13:30that Keith Palumbo is a snitch,
13:33that Keith Palumbo is the reason why his son,
13:36Bucky Evans' son, Nicholas, was arrested.
13:40Two weeks before he was shot in the leg,
13:44Keith Palumbo had been in a house
13:47that belonged to Buck Evans' son.
13:50Buck Evans' son was apparently selling drugs.
13:53While Keith was in the house,
13:56shortly after Keith left the residence,
13:58police raided the house.
14:01Cops go to the house right after Keith left,
14:03and people are starting to think,
14:05was Keith a snitch?
14:07Did Keith rat the kid out to the police?
14:12There's nothing more hated in a motorcycle club
14:15than a rat or a snitch.
14:18Nothing.
14:19So now, detectives want to talk to Buck Evans.
14:37Detectives believe Warlock gang member Buck Evans
14:39may be responsible for the disappearance of Keith Palumbo.
14:43Evans was convinced Palumbo was a police informant,
14:46and being labeled a snitch could cost him his life.
14:51Before we do anything,
14:53detectives followed up the allegation
14:56that Keith had ratted out Buck Evans' son
14:59and found that Keith wasn't a snitch
15:02for any police department.
15:05So it was just a bad rumor.
15:08From a police standpoint,
15:10you know, you've confirmed that Keith is not an informant,
15:14but the damage is done.
15:15So, obviously, we still want to talk to Buck Evans.
15:20Finding Buck Evans is easy.
15:23He's currently in prison for an unrelated parole violation.
15:27So, we made arrangements to have Buck Evans
15:31brought from Delaware County Prison
15:33to the Philadelphia Homicide Unit.
15:41And we sat him down, and we let him tell his story.
15:49There was a rumor going around that people thought
15:55Keith might have snitched out on that arrest, right?
15:58Yeah, but he shot him a leg.
15:59You're easy and honest with me, so I am.
16:01Buck Evans didn't even flinch
16:03when he told myself and Detective Carr
16:05that he himself had shot Keith Palumbo in the leg
16:09two weeks prior to him going missing
16:12because he thought that Keith had informed on his son.
16:16I guess Bucky Evans figured,
16:18hey, if I shoot him,
16:19he's going to tell me if the snitch is or isn't him.
16:22Well, he found out after he shot Keith Palumbo,
16:25it was not Keith Palumbo.
16:26I thought Bucky that would happen,
16:28and I wanted to tell the truth about what happened.
16:31He wanted us to believe
16:34that everything was fine between him and Keith,
16:38even though he had shot him in the leg.
16:42But I have to take a turn to say,
16:44hey, dude, like, you're telling me
16:46you shot this guy two weeks before.
16:49You're certainly going to have people
16:50that are going to say, well, then you killed him.
16:52And here's something that you need to understand.
16:54I don't want somebody to flip the script and say,
16:57well, Bucky shot a guy two weeks before he went missing.
16:59Obviously, Bucky killed him.
17:01Buck Evans, he is absolutely swearing
17:07that he had nothing to do with Keith being missing.
17:10But he brings up that something might have happened
17:13at the clubhouse between Keith Palumbo
17:16and someone from the Warlocks Motorcycle Club.
17:21Anytime someone is willing to give you your information,
17:23you have to say to yourself,
17:25are they looking to distract us
17:27and lead us down a different path?
17:30But you're excited about it.
17:32You welcome that information.
17:33Detectives obtain a search warrant
17:35for the Warlocks Clubhouse,
17:36where both Keith and his friend Mike DeLuca hung out.
17:40The next day, in the early morning hours,
17:43police gather with a SWAT team.
17:45This is considered a high-end warrant
17:48where you know that the potential for violence is there.
17:53The worst-case scenario would be
17:56they know SWAT's coming
17:58and they're prepared to shoot it out with SWAT.
18:01You have to go in ready for whatever happens there.
18:04And they did.
18:15There was no one in the clubhouse
18:17when they hit the house.
18:20So we got the all-clear to go in and process.
18:28And when we walked into the living room,
18:31there was a couch
18:32and the walls were painted black.
18:36Initially, I didn't think anything,
18:38but when we started looking around,
18:40we realized that not only were the walls painted black,
18:44that appeared to be freshly painted.
18:47Very odd.
18:48And you could tell right away, too,
18:50that there was carpet at one time
18:51and the carpet had been removed.
18:54You could tell just by the circular nature of the markings.
19:00There was a lot of blood on the walls.
19:06And it was high-velocity blood spatter,
19:11very small droplets,
19:12and there was a large puddling of blood
19:14that ran along the baseboard.
19:17It's not from a bloody nose
19:19or a pricked finger.
19:22I believe someone was murdered in the clubhouse.
19:26But is it Keith's blood
19:28or is it Mike's blood?
19:30Or is it a combination of both that are bloods?
19:33Are they both dead?
19:35Just under two months
19:36since Keith Palumbo
19:37and his friend Mike DeLuca went missing,
19:39the blood samples from the clubhouse
19:41are sent to the lab for testing.
19:44While detectives wait for the results,
19:46they turned their attention to Keith's cell phone records.
19:50When Upper Darby was attempting to locate Keith,
19:54they issued a subpoena
19:56for Keith's cell phone records
19:58through his cell phone provider.
20:01Keith's cell phone
20:02apparently went dead
20:04in very close proximity
20:06to a cemetery in Philadelphia
20:10called Mount Moriah Cemetery.
20:13It's a major break
20:14once you find out
20:16where the cell phone line is pinged.
20:18And now we're going
20:20to look for this body
20:21inside the cemetery.
20:26Mount Moriah is a huge,
20:29crumbling cemetery
20:30in southwest Philly.
20:31It's an eerie place
20:33full of centuries-old
20:34crypts and mausoleums.
20:36If you were looking for somewhere
20:37to hide a body,
20:38it's the perfect spot.
20:41Mount Moriah Cemetery
20:42is massive.
20:44It goes on for acre
20:45and acre and acre
20:47and hundreds of tombstones,
20:49mausoleums,
20:50crypts.
20:52You're just looking out
20:53over this vast cemetery
20:54like, where do I even start?
20:57And I'm like,
20:58you go that way,
20:59I'm going this way.
21:01And we'll meet back
21:02in a half hour
21:02and see if you see anything
21:03out of the ordinary.
21:05One of the police officers
21:06happened to be walking by
21:07what we would describe
21:09as a crypt
21:10with a very large capstone
21:12over the top of the crypt.
21:14He noticed that it appeared
21:16that there were fresh scratches
21:18in the marble
21:20surrounding the grave.
21:21and they start to say,
21:23this looks like
21:24the top of this crypt
21:25was moved.
21:27And they look at the dates on it
21:29and it goes back
21:31before the Civil War.
21:33You're in, like,
21:34uncharted territory here.
21:36I'm thinking we're going to move
21:37that slab
21:38and we're going to start digging it.
21:43They got a pry bar
21:44and got in there
21:45and actually literally
21:46started to pry
21:48the crypt top,
21:49slide it over
21:50so they could see in.
21:53we were able to stick this small inspection camera
21:57into a crack.
22:00You could see something really blue,
22:04almost like a tarp.
22:07and I'm like,
22:10he's there.
22:21After a nearly two-month search
22:23for Upper Darby native
22:24Keith Palumbo,
22:26Philly detectives find themselves
22:27in Mount Moriah Cemetery,
22:29staring down into a Civil War crypt.
22:32And what they see
22:33is right
22:34out of a horror movie.
22:40When I peeked into the grave,
22:43you could see a body
22:45on a tarp
22:46that was on his back,
22:48face up,
22:49and almost like
22:51he's staring back at you.
22:52The last body
22:54to be buried in the crypt
22:56went in there
22:57sometime in the 1800s.
22:59And we knew that
23:00there probably wasn't
23:01blue plastic tarps
23:02in the 1800s.
23:04But given the vastness
23:06of the cemetery
23:07and the amount of graves
23:08that were there,
23:09the fact that we found
23:10this crypt
23:11was astounding to me.
23:13I remember climbing down
23:15and it was so dark.
23:17And then you start to see
23:18how big it is
23:19and how deep it is.
23:21It probably went back 25 feet.
23:23And that's where
23:2510 wooden caskets
23:26were placed.
23:28The body was laying
23:30in an area where
23:31there weren't any caskets.
23:34This body just looked
23:35like it was dumped.
23:38The body looks fresh
23:40and is wrapped in carpet.
23:42But before detectives
23:43can examine it further,
23:44they make another
23:46gruesome discovery.
23:48One of the crime scene
23:49officers looked
23:50in the corner
23:51of the crypt
23:52and said,
23:53hey Joe,
23:54there's another one
23:55down here.
23:57I said,
23:58you gotta be kidding me.
24:00You gotta be kidding me.
24:01Oh my God.
24:03There's another one.
24:07Now,
24:08the question is,
24:10who is it?
24:12At that point,
24:13they were probably thinking
24:14this is Palumbo
24:15and DeLuca.
24:18But these guys
24:19are seasoned
24:20homicide detectives.
24:21They know what
24:22decomposition looks like.
24:24You could see
24:25it was a skull
24:26much more
24:27decomposed
24:29than the original body
24:31that we saw.
24:32That body
24:32has been there
24:33for a very long time,
24:35but we don't know
24:36who he is.
24:37We'll have to swab
24:38that for DNA.
24:41Detectives returned
24:41their attention
24:42to the first body,
24:43virtually certain
24:44of what they're
24:45about to find.
24:46He had a fresh wound
24:47on his right leg
24:49and the gauze
24:50was still wrapped up
24:51on it.
24:52The carpet
24:53that he was wrapped up in
24:55was consistent
24:56with the carpet
24:57that we saw
24:58from the Warlocks
24:59clubhouse
24:59the day before.
25:01and the necklace,
25:04the guitar pick
25:05around his neck.
25:07Never let the music
25:08stop.
25:09They knew from the mother
25:11that she had given
25:11that to them,
25:12so now they're saying,
25:13okay, we got
25:14Keith Palumbo right here.
25:17I can't remember
25:18exactly who told me,
25:20but I found out
25:22that they found
25:24his body
25:25along with somebody
25:25else's
25:26in a cemetery,
25:27and it was just
25:30crazy to me.
25:31It was awful.
25:34I got the news
25:35probably through Facebook
25:37like everybody else did
25:38because it went from
25:40help us find Keith
25:42to justice for Keith.
25:44and when I read that,
25:46I was super,
25:48super angry.
25:49He was like
25:50the nicest guy
25:51I ever met.
25:56I was
25:57shattered
25:58and disheartened
25:59to hear that
26:00they found Keith
26:01and they found
26:01my best friend
26:03dead,
26:03and his body
26:05was thrown
26:07in a cold,
26:08dark,
26:09empty pit
26:10of a,
26:11of a crypt.
26:13Whoever did this,
26:14I felt disgust
26:16that someone
26:17would treat
26:17another person
26:18that way.
26:21As family
26:22and friends mourn,
26:24detectives confront
26:25a mountain of evidence
26:26that points
26:26in only one direction.
26:30I was assigned
26:32this case
26:32right after
26:33two bodies
26:34had been discovered
26:35in the Mount Mariah
26:36Cemetery.
26:37The facts of this case
26:39clearly pointed
26:41to the Warlocks
26:41Motorcycle Club.
26:43When police
26:44get the crypt open,
26:45they find
26:46Keith Bulumbo's body
26:47wrapped up
26:48in the same carpet
26:49that was found
26:50torn up
26:50at the Warlocks
26:51clubhouse,
26:52and they also find
26:54the body
26:54of another individual,
26:56David Rizzillo.
26:57He was a
26:58prospect
26:58in the Warlocks
26:59that had been
27:00missing,
27:01as it turned out,
27:02since 2017.
27:04And in addition
27:05to that,
27:06the Warlocks Clubhouse
27:07investigators discovered
27:08blood on the walls.
27:10That DNA matched
27:11Keith Bulumbo.
27:14At this point,
27:16investigators
27:16are convinced
27:18Keith Bulumbo
27:20had in fact
27:20been murdered
27:21at that location.
27:25Who was involved
27:27in this murder?
27:28They know
27:29it's a member
27:30of the Warlocks,
27:31but you're going
27:32to need some help
27:33to move a body
27:34from the Warlocks
27:36Motorcycle Clubhouse
27:37to that crypt.
27:39You're going to need
27:39help to remove
27:40the cover
27:41of that crypt.
27:43Detectives tracked
27:44down the registered
27:45owner of the Warlocks
27:46Clubhouse.
27:47If anyone knows
27:48the people involved,
27:49it's her.
27:50The owner of the property
27:52was a female
27:53by the name
27:53of Donna Morelli.
27:54Her deceased husband
27:56was the former
27:57president of the
27:58Warlocks Motorcycle Club.
28:01She told us
28:02that she knew Keith,
28:03that he was an associate
28:04of the club,
28:06that he did frequent
28:07the clubhouse,
28:08that he was friends
28:10of Buck Evans,
28:12Michael DeLuca.
28:13She also said
28:14that Michael DeLuca
28:15was living
28:16on the first floor,
28:17but she had no idea
28:19where he was.
28:21DeLuca's name
28:21keeps popping up.
28:22Yeah, he rents
28:23the apartment from me.
28:24Oh, I haven't seen him
28:24in a while.
28:25It's been a week.
28:26It's been a couple
28:26of weeks.
28:27Maybe you should look
28:28to some of the other
28:28guys in the Warlocks
28:29and talk to them.
28:31Maybe they know
28:31where he is.
28:32But she's giving
28:32off little hints.
28:36When dealing
28:36with evasive people
28:37like Donna Morelli,
28:38you have to read
28:40between the lines.
28:42Detectives sense
28:42that the Warlocks
28:43clubhouse owner
28:44is trying to point
28:45the finger
28:45at Mike DeLuca
28:46without actually
28:48saying it.
28:48They don't know
28:49if she's telling
28:50the truth,
28:50but they're sure
28:51she knows more
28:52than she's letting on.
28:54So at that point,
28:56they obtained
28:57a search warrant
28:58for her house.
29:03First thing you notice,
29:04there was a lot
29:04of weapons.
29:05There was a lot
29:05of guns,
29:06but there was also
29:07some signs
29:08from Mount Moriah
29:09Cemetery.
29:11The back
29:11of her property
29:12literally had a gate
29:14that you could
29:15walk through
29:16and be on the
29:17property of the cemetery.
29:19That gave her access
29:21to the entire cemetery.
29:26I want to talk to you
29:27because I think
29:28your information
29:28is valuable for us
29:30and I think
29:30it would be beneficial
29:31to you.
29:32While I was interviewing
29:33her, we confronted her
29:34with some of the evidence
29:35that we knew.
29:36You have to tell me
29:37about this, Donna.
29:38You just have to tell me
29:39about it.
29:39I mean, nothing's going
29:41to change what happened.
29:42You just got to tell me
29:43everything you know.
29:44So Donna started talking.
29:47I don't think
29:48she can help herself
29:49when she starts talking.
29:51It's like,
29:52just do this before
29:53anybody comes from here
29:54and sees this
29:55because I can't have
29:57this here.
29:58She eventually
30:00came clean
30:01and admitted
30:02that Keith's body
30:04was brought
30:05to her house
30:07after he was murdered
30:09in the clubhouse.
30:10Did you walk back
30:10in the cemetery with him
30:11and show him
30:12how to open the grate?
30:14Yeah.
30:15Okay.
30:15You opened the grate?
30:18We did it.
30:19We did it together.
30:21She also says,
30:23I have this here.
30:24This might be helpful.
30:27And she pulls out
30:28her cell phone
30:29and she shows me
30:29a video.
30:34And you can see
30:35in the back
30:36of the truck
30:37a body.
30:39You can see
30:41the body.
30:42You can see
30:43the carpeting in it.
30:44I was like,
30:45holy s***.
30:59More than two months
31:01after Keith Palumbo
31:02went missing,
31:03Warlock's clubhouse owner
31:05Donna Morelli
31:05shows Philly detectives
31:07video from the night
31:08he was murdered.
31:09When she shows me
31:10the video,
31:11you see a red truck,
31:13which is Donna
31:14Morelli's truck.
31:15It pulls in
31:17and parks
31:18in the back
31:19of her house.
31:20When you gave me
31:22Keith the truck,
31:22what did you suppose
31:23you were going to use
31:24your truck for?
31:25I didn't use Keith.
31:29We were told
31:30that Keith's body
31:31was in the back
31:32of the truck
31:33at that time.
31:34And in the video,
31:35you can clearly
31:36see the blue tarp
31:38and the carpet
31:39that was loaded
31:40in the back
31:41of the truck.
31:43And then you see
31:44Mike DeLuca get out.
31:48He was driving
31:50and Billy Gibson,
31:53another member
31:54of the Warlocks,
31:55is the passenger.
31:59You see them
32:00walking in.
32:00You can see the tattoos
32:01on Mike DeLuca's head.
32:03He's very easy
32:04to identify.
32:08When you see it,
32:09now you're wondering,
32:11could he have actually
32:13killed his best friend?
32:15If so,
32:17this is a case
32:18of absolute betrayal.
32:21Here are two people
32:23that have been friends
32:24their entire lives.
32:26Mike DeLuca
32:26knew Keith's family.
32:28He knew his family members.
32:29He knew his friends.
32:32But there's Mike DeLuca.
32:34He's on video,
32:36helping get this body
32:38out of this pickup truck
32:39in Donna Morelli's backyard,
32:42right off the Mount Moriah Cemetery,
32:45and here's the guys
32:47we need to focus on.
32:52Donna Morelli is charged
32:53for her role
32:54in covering up the murder.
32:56Detectives then issue
32:57arrest warrants
32:58for both Mike DeLuca
32:59and Billy Gibson.
33:01We received information
33:02that Billy Gibson
33:03had checked himself
33:05into a rehab
33:05in upstate Pennsylvania.
33:08Myself and a couple
33:09other detectives
33:10took a ride up there.
33:12We brought him back
33:13to Philadelphia.
33:18Just so we're clear,
33:19we're going to go over
33:20the specifics
33:21of what happened
33:22regarding when
33:23Keith Pullenbo
33:24got killed.
33:25Yes.
33:25Okay?
33:26Now,
33:27did you know Keith?
33:28I met him
33:29through, like,
33:30through the club,
33:31through,
33:32from, um,
33:34from, uh,
33:34from Chaos.
33:38Michael DeLuca was known
33:39by the nickname
33:41Chaos.
33:42He gave himself
33:43that nickname
33:43while in prison.
33:46Is there any doubt
33:48in your mind
33:48who shot Keith?
33:51No.
33:52I know who shot Keith is.
33:53Okay.
33:54And you know that
33:54to be who?
33:55Chaos.
33:56Okay.
33:58Billy Gibson immediately
34:00gives up Mike DeLuca
34:02and tries to distance
34:04himself from the murder.
34:08I wasn't in the same room
34:10when he shot No.
34:12I was on the next room
34:13where I walked in towards it.
34:18and, uh,
34:19said Buck Evans
34:20was also there.
34:22Well, Buck,
34:23he came up the steps first
34:25and then Chaos.
34:28I heard,
34:29boom!
34:31Right?
34:33I was scared of that.
34:36And then Chaos.
34:37He came right up
34:39and put the gun
34:40in my head.
34:42He said,
34:42if you want to be
34:43a real warlock,
34:44you will keep your mouth shut.
34:45If not,
34:46I'll kill you,
34:47I'll kill your family,
34:49I'll kill your kids,
34:50I'll kill everybody.
34:54Gibson said
34:55that he was forced
34:56to participate
34:58in getting rid of
35:00Keith's body.
35:01I was nervous.
35:02I was peeing myself.
35:04And Buck's looking at me.
35:07And he said,
35:08just do what he says.
35:10After wrapping up
35:11Billy Gibson's interrogation,
35:13detectives
35:14bring Buck Evans
35:15into the room
35:15for the second time.
35:17Oh,
35:19just take a breath.
35:21When Buck Evans
35:22was interviewed
35:22by police
35:23the second time,
35:24he said that
35:25he was actually
35:26with Keith Palumbo
35:27prior to the murder
35:28and with Billy Gibson
35:30as well.
35:31And Billy was the one
35:32with the phone
35:32and he called him
35:33and that's how
35:34we ended up going there.
35:35Okay.
35:39Buck said that
35:40as soon as they walked
35:42into the clubhouse,
35:43Michael DeLuca
35:44immediately produced
35:46a handgun
35:47and shot Keith
35:50in the face
35:51two times.
35:59He told us
36:00that he was
36:01close enough
36:01to Keith
36:02that he actually
36:03got brain matter
36:04in his hair.
36:05and the 40 count
36:06with my ear ringing
36:07plus wearing
36:08on my face
36:09and I don't know
36:09what to do.
36:10I'm like,
36:10this dude's
36:11ready to kill me.
36:12I don't care what
36:13anybody says.
36:14The dude's a baby.
36:15After Michael DeLuca
36:17shot Keith,
36:18everyone looked around
36:19in astonishment
36:20as if to say,
36:21why did you do that?
36:24Michael DeLuca
36:25made some comment
36:26about that's
36:27what warlocks do.
36:29That's why
36:30we stick together,
36:31which I guess
36:32gave credence
36:33to the fact
36:33that there was
36:35theories that Keith
36:36was some sort
36:37of informant.
36:39Chaos.
36:40Who's the gun
36:41and is ready
36:41to shoot me?
36:42He did it.
36:42He had to be that day.
36:43Okay.
36:44And there's everything
36:44on time
36:45and he's doing it.
36:47Once everyone
36:48starts getting arrested,
36:49the other guys
36:50are trying to get out
36:51of it
36:51and pointing the finger
36:53at each other.
36:54Dude, I fought
36:55that night
36:56over what happened.
36:57So I didn't want
36:58to be part
36:58of anything like that.
36:59No, you waited
37:00until you got
37:00in trouble.
37:01I'm going to call.
37:01Oh, I'll tell you.
37:03Now, now, now.
37:03Now somebody's in trouble.
37:05All that loyalty
37:06of the warlocks
37:07about not snitching
37:09and all,
37:09they all turned out
37:10to be snitches.
37:12So now they have
37:13two independent
37:14kind of witnesses
37:15telling them
37:16what happened
37:17at the clubhouse.
37:18They have Donna Morelli
37:18with a videotape
37:19showing the pickup truck
37:21pull in with the body
37:22in the back of the truck.
37:25At the end
37:26of the interview,
37:28Buck Evans told us
37:29that Mike DeLuca
37:30was on the run
37:31and that nobody
37:33had heard from him
37:34since the night
37:35that Keith went missing.
37:37We were fairly confident
37:40that Michael DeLuca
37:41killed his lifelong friend.
37:45But the problem here is,
37:47where the hell
37:48is Mike DeLuca?
37:55April 9th, 2020.
37:57Over two months
37:58have passed
37:59since Keith Palumbo
38:00was murdered.
38:01After extracting
38:02confessions
38:03from three members
38:04of the warlocks
38:05motorcycle gang,
38:06detectives have placed
38:07a nationwide alert
38:08for a fourth,
38:09Mike DeLuca.
38:10One of the pieces
38:11that they don't have yet
38:13is Mike DeLuca.
38:14Where is he?
38:15Is he hiding?
38:19And then investigators
38:20were notified
38:21that Mike DeLuca
38:22had been stopped
38:23and arrested in Wyoming.
38:26Mike DeLuca
38:27gets pulled over
38:28in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
38:30And he's acting nervous
38:31and they immediately
38:32know something's up.
38:34So they get consent
38:35to search the car.
38:38They find a gun.
38:40He's a convicted felon
38:41who's not supposed
38:42to have a gun.
38:45I went up
38:45and got him
38:47and transported him
38:48back to Philadelphia.
38:49He knew right away
38:51why we were
38:51bringing him back
38:52but he said
38:54that he didn't
38:55want to talk about it,
38:55that he had a lawyer
38:56and he was going
38:57to fight the charges.
38:59As DeLuca
39:00awaits trial,
39:02detectives piece
39:03together the events
39:04that led to the murder
39:05of Keith Palumbo.
39:07Throughout 2019,
39:09leading up to
39:10the disappearance
39:10of Keith Palumbo,
39:11a lot of people
39:13in Keith's circle,
39:15members of the Warlocks,
39:16were getting arrested.
39:18And they were getting
39:19arrested for
39:20narcotic offenses.
39:22And in that circle,
39:24they were convinced
39:25that Keith Palumbo
39:26was supplying law enforcement
39:28with information.
39:30That he was the one
39:31that was snitching
39:32on the Warlocks.
39:35Even though we know
39:36that was not true.
39:38Michael DeLuca
39:39was trying to reestablish
39:40himself as the leader
39:42of the Warlocks,
39:43this could have been
39:44his way of showing
39:46that anybody
39:47that disrespected him
39:49was going to meet
39:50the same fate as Keith.
39:57Once Mike DeLuca
39:58is charged,
39:59Keith Palumbo's friends
40:00grapple with the unthinkable.
40:03I can't even put in the words
40:06how hard it was
40:08to hear
40:09that Mike was responsible.
40:12Growing up,
40:13we were inseparable.
40:15Best friends,
40:16did everything together,
40:18went everywhere together.
40:20And Dottie, Keith's mom,
40:22she loved Mike
40:23like a son.
40:25She took care of him
40:26when he needed
40:27a hot meal
40:29or a place
40:30to spend the night.
40:32This was like
40:33someone we loved,
40:35someone we thought
40:36loved us back.
40:37And it's like
40:38I'm living in a
40:40nightmarish
40:41alternate reality.
40:43As their trials approach,
40:45Buck Evans,
40:46Billy Gibson,
40:47and Donna Morelli
40:48take guilty pleas.
40:49They each get
40:5018 to 24 months
40:51for their part
40:52in the cover-up.
40:53Mike DeLuca
40:54pleads guilty
40:55to the murder
40:56of his childhood friend
40:57and is sentenced
40:58to 25 to 35 years.
41:02Mike DeLuca
41:03is just,
41:05I think,
41:05pure evil.
41:06To kill your best friend
41:08growing up,
41:10there's a special spot
41:11in hell for that guy,
41:12I'm sure.
41:16I thought
41:18DeLuca
41:18would have got life
41:19for what he did.
41:20And I think
41:21he should have got life.
41:22But it was definitely
41:23hard to go through.
41:26Keith was a big,
41:27scary-looking dude,
41:28but he wasn't
41:29at all.
41:30He was really
41:31a teddy bear.
41:32He was sweeter.
41:35Keith dying
41:38messed a lot of people up.
41:40Messed a lot of people up.
41:42But Keith will always
41:43be remembered.
41:44He has so much art
41:45out there.
41:46He's got a bunch
41:47of music out there.
41:48He's got a loving family.
41:50He brought a lot of happiness
41:51to a lot of people.
41:54I don't know for certain
41:55why Mike killed Keith,
41:57but I can say for sure
41:59that I know Mike intimately.
42:03I know his tendency
42:06to want to dominate
42:08and be the one in charge.
42:11And that probably
42:12had something to do with it.
42:14Because I also know
42:15that Keith doesn't take
42:16s*** from anyone.
42:18I think Keith probably
42:19said something
42:20along the lines of,
42:22like, get that thing
42:23out of my face.
42:24How dare you,
42:25how dare you point
42:26a gun at me.
42:27I don't think Keith
42:29was willing to
42:30be under Mike's thumb.
42:31I don't think he was
42:32willing to,
42:33to play ball.
42:35I think Mike killed him
42:36for it.
42:37And that breaks my heart.
42:39But, yeah,
42:40Keith was one of the best
42:41friends a guy could have.
42:43He was awesome.
