00:54He also referred to a Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court ruling on March 24,
00:59which ordered the Kuala Lumpur mayor to pay 824,180 ringgit in damages
01:05to the family of a victim killed by a falling tree near Serlayang Market in March 2023,
01:12due to maintenance negligence.
01:14He said the cases share similarities, as the sinkhole incident has also been linked
01:20to alleged underground utility issues and geological factors.
01:23Another lawyer, Muhammad Saifullah Muhammad Azmi, said the issuance of the death certificate
01:29has brought some relief to the family, which is facing financial hardship after losing its
01:35main breadwinner.
