00:00We were just walking up the street towards the Blue Mosque and there's two mosques there that both have their
00:05own call to prayer.
00:06And it's meant to be heard throughout the city, but we're actually next to the two giant speakers.
00:12So this is what it was like.
00:13It actually kind of is cool when you look back at it.
00:16That was kind of a cool thing to deal with.
00:17It was because we were walking and we're talking and we're keeping our own life in our own way.
00:23And then that thing belts out and then we just shut it up.
00:27Yeah.
00:28And then we just walked kind of quietly.
00:29And I don't care if you're religious or not or what religion you belong to.
00:34But when you hear that devoted voice shared by a whole city, you just go, hmm, it's just quieting.
00:43When you travel to places like Greece, I find this really interesting and it gives me hope for our future.
00:48When you go to like Rome, Istanbul and even Athens, these are places that were the top of the world.
00:56Yeah.
00:57They were places that were like the place and they lost big.
01:02Yeah.
01:02And now they're like, we don't need any of that shit.
01:05And when the war is going on, Turkey's like, Turkey's situated to be like, it is the most strategic.
01:12It's the joint of East and West.
01:14And they're like, leave us the fuck out of it.
01:17And like, they're like a dingy society with kind of crumbling relics of a great day.
01:24And they're like, yeah, we don't do that shit anymore.
01:28I kind of like the idea that America could be like that someday.
01:34We'll be right back.
01:39We'll be right back.
