00:00We were just walking up the street towards the Blue Mosque
00:02and there's two mosques there
00:04that both have their own call to prayer.
00:06And it's meant to be heard throughout the city,
00:09but we're actually next to the two giant speakers,
00:12so this is what it was like.
00:13It actually kind of is cool when you look back at it.
00:16That was kind of a cool thing to deal with.
00:17It was, because we were walking and we're talking
00:19and we're keeping our own life in our own way.
00:23And then that thing belts out
00:25and then we just shut it up.
00:27Yeah.
00:28And then we just walked kind of quietly.
00:29And I don't care if you're religious or not
00:32or what religion you belong to,
00:34but when you hear that devoted voice
00:38shared by a whole city,
00:40you just go, hmm, it's just quieting.
00:43When you travel to places like Greece,
00:45I find this really interesting
00:47and it gives me hope for our future.
00:48When you go to Rome, Istanbul, and even Athens,
00:54these are places that were the top of the world.
00:56Yeah.
00:57They were places that were like the place
01:00and they lost big.
01:02Yeah, they did.
01:02And now they're like, we don't need any of that shit.
01:05And when the war is going on,
01:07Turkey's like, Turkey's situated to be like,
01:09it is the most strategic,
01:12it's the joint of East and West.
01:14and they're like, leave us the fuck out of it.
01:17And they're like a dingy society
01:20with kind of crumbling relics of a great day.
01:24And they're like, yeah, we don't do that shit anymore.
01:28I kind of like the idea
01:30that America could be like that some.
