00:22As you all know, Carrier is not just a company, but it's a pioneer that transforms how the world thinks
00:29about cooling.
00:30And I must admit, my first AC was Carrier.
00:37And the senior leaders know, our chief minister likes to have his room at 17 degrees centigrade.
00:43And that was powered by Carrier air conditioner.
00:48So, there's more than a transaction here.
00:51There's a lot more emotional connection here, if I may.
00:55From inventing modern air conditioning to becoming a $50 billion global powerhouse, Carrier has constantly been at the forefront of
01:06innovation.
01:07And today, that innovation is coming to the great state of Andhra Pradesh.
01:12This $1,000 crore investment will create close to 3,000 local jobs, is a strong vote of confidence in
01:20our state, our ecosystem play, and our chief minister, Mr. Chandra Babu Naiduji's vision.
01:28We are standing in Sree City, not just an industrial park, but a global manufacturing hub.
01:35Sree City is spread across close to 8,500 acres, home to 250 companies.
01:41From 31 countries, and over $6 billion of exports coming out of this great land.
01:4870,000 jobs have been created so far, but what excites me most is 50% of those jobs have
01:55gone to women.
01:56From automotive to electronics, from automotive to electronics, food processing to precision engineering.
02:07Sree City represents the best of make in India and made in Andhra Pradesh.
02:12And today, it adds another feather to its cap.
02:17Andhra Pradesh has already earned its unique distinction, which is the cool capital of India.
02:23Nine leading AC manufacturers are already here.
02:2730-plus component and supply chain players are here.
02:31Close to 12,000 crores worth of investments have gone into this ecosystem.
02:36A rapid expanding HVAC ecosystem.
02:40And by 2027, we expect to manufacture 60% of India's air conditioning requirement here in Sree City.
02:49And by 2028, thanks to Carrier, we should now achieve 80% of India's air conditioning coming out of Sree
02:58City.
02:59As the leadership just shared, India is a growth market, 30% last quarter.
03:06I think together we can make it 100%.
03:08And that's what I was sharing with the leadership here.
03:11And this is not just about growth for us.
03:13This is about global competitiveness.
03:16Today, the great state of Andhra Pradesh is competing with different countries.
03:20We understand the importance of building an ecosystem.
03:24Friends who are here from across the world, a new race is happening in India and all across the world.
03:32A race to build data centers.
03:35A race to harness the power of artificial intelligence.
03:39And I'm proud to say that the great state of Andhra Pradesh will lead that race from the front.
03:46But let me share our next big idea.
03:49For us, it's not just about bringing the data centers.
03:52But it's about building the entire manufacturing ecosystem here in the great state of Andhra Pradesh.
03:58And I believe data centers are just the beginning.
04:00All of you know, data centers need world-class cooling solutions, high-efficiency chillers, power electronics, control systems, and precision
04:09manufacturing.
04:11Without these, the digital economy cannot function.
04:14And data centers in isolation will not capture the real value of the entire ecosystem.
04:20So, when we laid foundation to India's largest FDI investment ever,
04:28I made a bold statement that we will build the entire ecosystem.
04:33And I'm really excited that Carrier has chosen Andhra Pradesh and CCD to be part of that ecosystem.
04:41And I believe data center component manufacturing is the next pharma movement for India.
04:47And I believe we can beat the pharma ecosystem.
04:50That is why today's groundbreaking is a very historic and important one for us.
04:57Carrier is not merely a facility for us, but it's a cornerstone of that vision.
05:02And I met with the leadership here.
05:04And we spoke about the Carrier University that you have.
05:07And I self-invited myself to the university.
05:10And I said, I will come.
05:11I would love to see that.
05:13And look at what are the ingredients that we can learn from there and bring it to the great state
05:18of Andhra Pradesh.
05:19And actually contribute to India and the larger ecosystem here.
05:23We want to reduce import dependency.
05:27We are creating a strong local supply chain to all the supply chain partners.
05:32As important as Carrier is, all of you are equally important.
05:36Whatever we have done for them, we will do for you.
05:38And we will ensure that it is a smooth landing in the great state of Andhra Pradesh.
05:43And we're really excited about the next generation data infrastructure and opportunities that it brings about.
05:50Our ambition is bold.
05:52All of you know my chief minister.
05:55He lives, breathes vision.
05:58When he came about with Vision 2020, when we were a combined state with Hyderabad, people laughed at him.
06:05I call him a father who's not really understood well.
06:10All the mothers here know.
06:12The fathers are busy conquering the world.
06:15Mother's love is pure.
06:18Children grow up in that love and affection.
06:21But 30, 40 years later, they understand the sacrifices that a father has done.
06:25And how important the role that a father plays.
06:29So that is our chief minister.
06:31He's a very misunderstood politician.
06:33Because he has a bold vision.
06:37He has set a bold vision for us.
06:40We are a $200 billion economy, aspiring to be a $2.4 trillion economy by 2047.
06:47And is this something that my chief minister has shown to the world?
06:50If he dreams it, he will deliver it.
06:52And we are here to deliver that vision.
06:56And needless to say, cooling will play a very, very important part in that vision.
07:02A lot of people ask me why they should choose Andhra Pradesh.
07:05And I'll give you three distinct reasons why.
07:07One, we have leadership with a proven track record, backed by a young and hungry team.
07:1450% of our legislatures are first-timers.
07:1817 out of the 25 ministers are first-timers.
07:20I'm actually the senior minister now.
07:22It's not my gray beard.
07:24This is my second term with him.
07:26We bring raw energy, passion to back his vision.
07:30Second reason is speed of doing business.
07:33In fact, I was telling Dave, I have been chasing your team.
07:38And we are really excited to do the next big thing with career.
07:41And believe me, we can create history together.
07:43And we have done this in the past.
07:46We have worked with global partners, global players, global brands.
07:49Where for them, setting up a factory, the speed at which they set up that factory was history.
07:55They have never done it anywhere else.
07:57I just shared with you what we have done with a steel gent.
08:01How we closed the entire deal over a Zoom call.
08:04So, speed is the cornerstone of our state.
08:08Third is what we call double-engine bullet train sarkar.
08:12Dave, there's a very popular terminology called double-engine sarkar.
08:16Which means double-engine is two-engine train government.
08:22Which means that it's the same government both at the state and at the center.
08:25But only our state has two-engine bullet train.
08:29Because we have the Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji.
08:32Narendra Modi ji as a Prime Minister.
08:34And we have Naidu ji as a Chief Minister.
08:36Both are in there.
08:40Both are 75-year-old youngsters, as I could call them.
08:44Because I believe that there are three 25-year-olds in them.
08:47And that is the energy that they have.
08:49So, we are the only state that has that magic.
08:52Double-engine bullet train sarkar.
08:53But I have modified NAMO.
08:56For the Indians here, you know what NAMO stands for?
08:58Narendra Modi ji.
08:59But in Andhra Pradesh, it stands for different things.
09:02Naidu ji and Modi ji together.
09:04And that is how we look at NAMO.
09:07So, from land allocation to approvals to execution,
09:11we are partners with you.
09:13Once we shake hands, it's no longer your project.
09:15It is our project.
09:17We are here.
09:18We are available.
09:19Your team knows I am one WhatsApp message away.
09:22Anything, anytime I can do, we are here and we will do it.
09:25Not just in Andhra Pradesh, but in India.
09:29But our story is not just about investments alone.
09:33I am the chairman of a group of ministers to create...
09:37I keep getting confused.
09:3920 lakh jobs.
09:40I think that's 2 million.
09:42Conversion between lakh to million, I always get confused.
09:44Though I am American educated, I still get confused.
09:47So, our ambition is to create 2 million jobs in 5 years.
09:52So, for us, this investment is not just about the money being invested,
09:56but the jobs that it is going to create,
09:57the skilling that we are going to do together.
10:00Sri Siti is home to close to 70,000 jobs.
10:03And 50% of them are women.
10:05So, Sri Shakti, as we call it, is very, very important.
10:08Which is women empowerment is very, very important for us.
10:12And just before I stepped in to this groundbreaking ceremony,
10:17I met the farmers here.
10:18I could see raw emotion, energy,
10:20them thanking the government,
10:22thanking career for choosing to be here.
10:25But they equally requested me to give you a...
10:28to pass on a message, which is,
10:30please create jobs, give locals an opportunity,
10:32because that is what means a lot to us
10:35and the state of Andhra Pradesh.
10:42And to the leadership of Sri Siti,
10:44thank you very much for your support.
10:46You are a catalyst in our growth.
10:48As I keep saying, you are slower than the government.
10:52I'm looking at Srini Rajogaru.
10:54We've had a meeting last time.
10:56I've requested him to share
10:57how can we institutionalize speed of doing business.
11:01And I look forward to bringing the next generation reforms
11:04under your leadership, sir.

11:09a world-class university,
11:12which is around skilling
11:16and more so around internship and apprenticeship,
11:19where on-the-job training will be the cornerstone.

11:42As a state, we are believers of clusters.
11:46A great example of this is air conditioning.
11:49So what does it take?
11:51You know, all the partners who are here,
11:54all of you play an important role
11:55in building this ecosystem.
11:57I call it a vertical and horizontal integration.
12:00Vertical are all the players who go into building
12:02not just the facility, the gas, the components
12:05that are actually going into making the end product.
12:08But horizontal is equally important,
12:10which is where my ministry plays a very important role.
12:12Human resource development.
12:13So skilling, testing, certification,
12:17that's our cornerstone.
12:18Partners here, we are launching a new AI-generated model,
12:23which is called Naipuniam.
12:25So all the youth of Andhra Pradesh
12:26are going to be on this portal.
12:27They're going to be skill-assessed
12:29using conversational AI.
12:31It's first of its kind in the world.
12:32So we are actually launching that
12:34at the end of this month.
12:36So please be partners of that story
12:38because that's where we want to assess skills.
12:41We would love your input
12:42and we want to create job-ready youth.
12:44So having this tight cluster-based development
12:47is going to be very, very important
12:49for manufacturing to succeed.
12:51And we are building 22 such clusters.
12:53Next door, we are building a glass cluster.
12:56There's already an AC cluster,
12:58renewable energy cluster,
12:59space cities coming next door,
13:02compressed biogas cluster,
13:03data city, medical devices manufacturing,
13:06pharma, steel.
13:07Across sectors, we're building tight clusters.
13:10So please be part of this amazing growth story.
13:13And today is truly a game-changing event.
13:17Today is not merely a ceremonial event for us.
13:20It's a signal to the world
13:21that Andhra Pradesh is ready,
13:23India is ready,
13:24and the future is built here
13:26in the great state of Andhra Pradesh.
13:30From cooling homes
13:31to cooling data centers
13:33to enabling the AI revolution,
13:35we are building the backbone
13:36of next generation digital age.
13:40I have big audacious goals.
13:43My chief minister at times pulls me back.
13:45He thinks we're too fast.
13:46But I'm sure I'll be able to convince him.
13:48I believe that Vishak Bhattnam
13:50will be the AI hub,
13:53not just for India,
13:54but for the globe.
13:55And all of you here
13:56have a very important role
13:58to play with it,
