00:04I do. That is a proposition that has qualified for the ballot.
00:11We have a solemn duty and role to make sure that all propositions are written in the title and
00:19summary in a way that is understandable, is accurate, is comprehensive, is clear to the
00:24voters. So that is my role and that's what I will be doing with respect to that.
00:29Secretary Saif, do you think voter ID would be helpful or not helpful for elections in
00:34California? I don't know if it would be helpful. I've never been in favor of voter ID because of,
00:39I think, the things it purports to do we already do in terms of making sure that we know who's
00:45registered to vote and they have proper ID and so forth and so on. However, I've also said that if
00:50for whatever reason the people of California decide that's what they want, my office will implement
00:55those regulations and it might write those regulations to make sure that it does not disenfranchise people.
