00:00Is there anything you've said on the podcast that has kind of put you in hot water?
00:04Yes. Are you familiar with Mike White?
00:06Yeah, of course.
00:07The auteur, again, a national treasure, Mike White.
00:11But Mike White appeared on Survivor back in 2017 on the season David vs. Goliath.
00:17And at that time, of course, you know, I was familiar with Mike White's work,
00:22but this was pre-White Lotus.
00:24And of course, Mike White has had many bangers in the past,
00:27but he had also written on the Emoji Movie.
00:30And for whatever, I thought it was funny to ask people about what they thought about the Emoji Movie
00:35and to talk about Emoji.
00:36And Mike White did not think that was funny.
00:39And Mike White laid into me on the podcast when he came on and was really not happy with me.
00:46And I learned a good lesson.
00:47I thought, Mike White, he's too famous.
00:48He's not paying attention.
00:49He was.
00:50And so I'm very happy to say that after Mike White was voted out on this season of Survivor,
00:55he did come back on the podcast and we had a wonderful conversation.
00:58And so I appreciate that from Mike.
01:00Wait, when he came on the podcast the first time, did you know he was going to read into you?
01:03Or did he?
01:03No.
01:04No.
01:04Oh, he had a good, he was like, I'm so excited.
01:06Talking about a blind side.
01:07You know what?
01:08He had sent me an email during the season and he was like, felt like he's asking me basically,
01:14kind of similar to an exchange I had with Jeff Probst.
01:16Like, why do you hate me?
01:17Why are you being like this?
01:19And I was like, oh, you know, I was just having fun.
01:21And then when we got to talk, he really just came at me very hard.
01:27He fairly felt like it was a cheap shot.
01:28He felt like that I did not give him a lot of credit for his game also.
01:32Oh.
01:32I see.
01:33Because he really loves Survivor.
01:34He does really love Survivor.
01:36He's probably very proud of his performance.
01:37And I could say that looking back, I looked at him as sort of like, okay, he's like,
01:43actually, he's Jeff's friend.
01:45That's the reason why he's on the show.
01:47So, and so, like, he gets, you know, special treatment from Jeff.
01:50And I didn't treat him like a serious contestant.
01:53And that was a mistake on my part.
01:54Right.
01:55And also, it's fun that Mike White involves Survivor contestants in The White Lotus.
01:59Like, I absolutely love, maybe one day you'll be on The White Lotus.
02:02I don't think so.
02:02But the funny thing is that Mike White wrote this new season of The White Lotus right after
02:08he got voted out on Survivor.
02:10So, I think it's going to be very interesting to see if there are any Survivor tie-ins or anything
02:14from Mike White's Survivor experience where he played Survivor, got voted out, and then
02:20went off to go write season four of The White Lotus.
