Romania's pro-EU coalition collapses after prime minister fails no-confidence vote

00:02Romania's pro-European coalition government collapsed on Tuesday after lawmakers voted in
00:07favor of a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Ilie Bologian. The joint effort was
00:14launched last week when the leftist Social Democratic Party and the hard-right opposition,
00:20Alliance for the Unity of Romania, submitted the motion to Parliament. The Social Democratic Party
00:26said Bologian failed to implement any reform and that Romania needs a leader that is capable of
00:31collaboration. Meanwhile, the opposition's leader, George Simeon, said voters wanted water,
00:37food and energy, but instead received taxes, war and poverty.
