00:10Summers are brutal with the heat.
00:12It'll melt your shoes, your skin, it'll tear you up for sure.
00:18If it's too hot outside, the bad guys don't want to go out and commit crimes.
00:22When the nighttime comes, the freaks come out.
00:26Put your pants off!
00:28When that sun's gone, people think they can hide the bad stuff in the dark.
00:31This is the I don't believe face.
00:34One team, one family.
00:36We always pull together.
00:39Dead bunch of bats!
00:41What the f*** am I in handcuffs for?
00:44It's very dangerous.
00:46Backup isn't always closed.
00:50I don't want an emergency.
00:52You're going to kill me.
00:54Assaults, robberies, shootings.
00:57It's lawless out here.
00:58It's going to get hot tonight.
00:59A little bit of spice is always good.
01:01Stop having sex.
01:02Put your jeans on.
01:04Be in the wild, wild west, Tucson.
01:07It's the witching hour.
01:08Don't tap out on us yet, okay?
01:27When you're in Arizona and the temperatures get as high as they do here, it does burn the soles of
01:32your shoe.
01:34In the summer months, people tend to get angry at us.
01:37Road rage tends to happen a little bit more.
01:40Aggressive drivers, whipping in and out of traffic, speeding, hitting runs, running red lights.
01:49I like this car because it has power when it needs to have power.
01:53Cops don't always have to be in a marked unit.
01:56They could be in unmarked units like this.
01:59Detective Mossman at the sheriff's department.
02:01Any reason for the speed and whipping in and out of traffic?
02:06Okay.
02:07Have you had anything to drink today?
02:09No.
02:10Okay.
02:10All right, you're going to get cited for passing in a no-passing zone, okay?
02:13You could contest the ticket in court.
02:15You could pay the fine or go to driver's school if you haven't in a year, okay?
02:20Typically, what this car is used for is road rage incidents, street racing, or DUI deployments.
02:28People driving drunk don't see a patrol car.
02:31All they see is just a normal car.
02:37So, you know why I stopped you?
02:38Yeah, I do.
02:39What's with the speed?
02:41No real reason.
02:42I just needed just a little bit of a dopamine hit.
02:45Okay.
02:46And that's it.
02:47Just a little hot out.
02:48That's why you don't have a shirt?
02:51What's going on?
02:52You're getting a ticket for speeding, okay?
02:54Just do me a favor.
02:54You've got to slow down, all right?
02:56Okay.
02:57You have any questions for me right now?
02:58Do I say it, all right?
03:06Traffic, 4K, 111, Westbound, 560.
03:09Go ahead and call number traffic.
03:12446, go ahead.
03:15Go ahead.
03:17I-19, just before the whole line is directed.
03:2010-4.
03:24All needs help.
03:28Westbound on 9-10, pulling up right now.
03:34You said no alcohol whatsoever, connect?
03:39The reason why I stopped you again, I explained to you before, you don't have 75 in the 65, having
03:43a hard time maintaining it, okay?
03:46Plus, when I'm checking your license, okay, I'm seeing an interlock restriction, so you shouldn't be driving at all right
03:51now.
03:59How come you're driving, uh, when you're not supposed to?
04:03I don't know.
04:06I don't know.
04:31You don't know?
04:31Where do you think you're at right now?
04:33Where do you think you're at right now?
05:01I'm 100%.
05:0190%.
05:01She's my partner.
05:02She's your partner?
05:03Yes.
05:03Can I talk to you out here real quick?
05:05Yes.
05:06Okay.
05:06So, what two kids are in the vehicle right now?
05:08That's my grandson and my son.
05:10Grandson and your son?
05:11Yes.
05:11Okay.
05:12Where were you guys coming from?
05:14We came from Mississippi.
05:15Okay.
05:15We had food, but we didn't drink.
05:17Okay.
05:18You didn't see her drink at all?
05:20No.
05:20And you were with her the whole time?
05:22There was moments that she was by herself.
05:25Any reason why you can't do this test?
05:27All right.
05:28Are you nervous why you didn't answer that?
05:30I'm not.
05:30Okay.
05:31I-I don't think I've been rude.
05:32You were rude when you came to the park, but it doesn't even matter.
05:34I was rude.
05:36You just need a battery.
05:38Can we do the test with him?
05:39That's it.
05:40All right.
05:42Go ahead and begin.
05:57And blow.
06:03Baseball, and everything I'm seeing so far, you're under arrest for DUI.
06:12Because she had a 10 and a two-year-old in there,
06:15elevated from the misdemeanor DUI to the felony DUI, aggravated.
06:19Tango 446, 617 is 9555.
06:25She's being arrested for DUI.
06:27Right now? She's under the influence right now.
06:30In the state of Arizona, if you're driving impaired with kids,
06:34that makes it an AG DUI, which is a felony, not a misdemeanor.
06:39Yeah, yeah, yeah, you want to come up?
06:41Babe, it'll be okay. It'll be okay.
06:45Babe, can you breathe? I love you.
06:50I'm hoping this is a wake-up call and not to drink and drive
06:53and also have two younger kids in there as well.
07:10Nobody has to be victim of a crime like DUI.
07:14This is my home. I was born on the south side of town.
07:17I was raised on the south side of town.
07:18So, I mean, this is my area.
07:22My family still live here.
07:25It would break my heart if I were to see a collision involving any of them,
07:29especially if that collision involves a drunk or a drug driver.
07:33Because, yeah, it would just be absolutely heartbreaking to lose someone to a very poor decision.
07:39It's terrifying.
07:41Puma County drivers are crazy.
07:45The heat has an effect for sure.
07:47We get people who are impatient in a hurry.
07:50Swerving all over the road, driving crazy.
07:52Road rage incidents.
07:54Street racing.
07:55100 miles an hour with a one-ton piece of metal.
07:58Someone's going to get hurt.
07:59If you drive recklessly enough, I've seen cars go into buildings.
08:02People don't think about the accidents they may cause.
08:05I've seen many serious injury, fatality, collisions.
08:09People think they can just drive however the hell they want to drive.
08:12They want to show off how fast they can go from their social media.
08:17One second you're live streaming for all your viewers, and the next second you're dead.
08:23So, trying to keep people safe on the roadway is definitely something I take seriously.
08:38There's more criminal activity out because the sun's down.
08:41It's cooling off outside.
08:43This area is known for its high drug content.
08:49People will definitely use the darkness to facilitate their crimes.
08:55What the hell?
08:57That's interesting.
08:59It looked like that truck was just driving through the dirt area.
09:02And it took off at a high rate of speed into a residential neighborhood.
09:06Potentially showing some signs of impairment.
09:10682 traffic.
09:12Westover and Verda Roja.
09:22The reason I'm pulling you over is because you were speeding a little bit.
09:26What's up with your starter?
09:28My steering column, I tried to shift it one day, and the whole thing popped right off.
09:32Okay, I see.
09:34Okay, you need to find open it up.
09:35Can I get your license registries, please?
09:42You're shaking a bit there, man. Are you okay?
09:44I have anxiety, and I shake a lot, like, often.
09:48Okay.
09:50Do you have any weapons in the car?
09:53Give me one second, I'll be right back.
10:00I need a favor, man.
10:01Yeah.
10:03I'm gonna ask this nobody.
10:05Don't reach. Don't reach.
10:06I see a giant knife.
10:08Don't reach.
10:09Don't reach. Come on out.
10:12What is it?
10:16He's shaking. He's nervous.
10:20It's a little peculiar how you're driving it with the...
10:22Yeah, the, the shifting knob, it broke off. It, like, fell off completely.
10:28So, I have to use the pliers to fix it.
10:34The steering column is jerry-rigged, and this car smells a little bit like burning meth and fentanyl.
10:41So, he's potentially high.
10:43So, I'm not even sure he should be driving right now.
10:47We're gonna continue doing our investigation, performing a field sobriety test.
10:52Go ahead and begin.
10:54Have you done any drugs in the past one car at all?
10:57Yeah.
10:58Sure.
11:02So, based on everything I am seeing so far, I am gonna place you on the rest of the day.
11:06Wait, what's that?
11:07Okay. You're gonna be placed on the rest of the day for DUI.
11:09DUI?
11:10Yep.
11:10Why is DUI?
11:11Because I think that there's something in your system that's impairing your ability to drive safe.
11:16So, I'll be just face the car right here?
11:19Do you have anything in your socks?
11:21No, I don't.
11:22Like, do you actually have anything in your socks?
11:25No, I don't have anything in my socks.
11:26Check his waist here.
11:28What's going on?
11:29The box.
11:30The box there?
11:35Why do you have meth?
11:50Okay, are you gonna start telling me the truth now, or are we just gonna keep lying to each other?
11:56It's not mine.
11:58It's in your pocket.
11:59I know it's in my pocket, but that's not mine, it's my girlfriend's.
12:02Do you see this face right now?
12:03I don't believe in the face right now.
12:06Okay, that's again.
12:06I did not do.
12:08I have been doing this all year.
12:10I didn't know that was inside the box.
12:13I didn't open the box.
12:14I never opened it.
12:16Why are you putting it in your pocket if you didn't know that?
12:18Because it turns out.
12:19I have to take it back to her.
12:20Such as ever.
12:21Okay, go ahead and have you sit in the car.
12:25We're gonna go through the rest of the car.
12:27What's in the bag?
12:28What's in the bag?
12:29What's in the bag in the front seat?
12:31I'm gonna look.
12:33So what else am I gonna find?
12:36Um.
12:37He has this whole little drug kit going on here.
12:40Bunch of torches.
12:42Small things that usually lead to bigger things.
12:44So, here we go.
12:47A little more meth.
12:55Very large knife.
12:57That's a real weapon right there.
12:59Don't know what he needs this for.
13:01When you go to the doctor, where do they usually draw blood from?
13:03Do it out of your hands or do it out of your arms?
13:06They can't give blood right now because my heart rate is going to arrest.
13:10Okay.
13:11I have never heard of that before and I've been drawing blood for years.
13:14And you need to comply.
13:19You're 100% putting on a show.
13:21Not symptomatic at all.
13:22Back there.
13:23The moment handcuffs come on, all of a sudden we're experiencing all these issues.
13:28So I find it strange that all of a sudden, once he's being told that he's under arrest,
13:34is all of a sudden symptomatic and is having all these issues such as anxiety.
13:38Once I'm done, I'll absolutely call paramedics for you, okay?
13:40Is that fair?
13:42Okay.
13:43Just like that, no more needle.
13:48So the ambulance is here, okay?
13:50They'll be able to assess you.
13:53As far as vital signs, everything's within normal range.
13:57But he's presenting more symptomatic than the evidence is suggesting.
14:03If it takes a room full of doctors and nurses to be able to explain or deduce that,
14:07I mean, I leave it up to them.
14:12Sometimes people just really don't want to go to jail.
14:16But Deputy Poole will be following him to the hospital.
14:19He will still find his way to the Pima County Adult Detention Center tonight,
14:23where he will be charged for possession of dangerous drugs as well as DUI.
14:26He will still inevitably end up in jail tonight.
14:47All right, we'll get started.
14:50Thanks to everybody for helping out with this and showing up.
14:53Our target, he's got a couple felony warrants, ones for kidnapping.
14:58We'll end up hitting the house, slow and methodical.
15:00First vehicle in the property will be Joe's team.
15:03Lights, burst a siren, you're under arrest.
15:06No mistake that we are the police.
15:08No questions?
15:10I'm native to Tucson and Pima County.
15:14I grew up catching rattlesnakes.
15:17And now I've catching violent offenders that we want off the streets.
15:22It's a hunt.
15:23You know, you got to find them.
15:24You got to catch up to them.
15:27Pima County is a very unique place.
15:31The different dynamics in different districts that we have.
15:36Super busy districts in Tucson.
15:39And then if you head out of town to the desert, you've got Green Valley,
15:44which we're going to be close to today.
15:47People can get out into the desert and completely disappear.
15:52Desert terrain, extremely difficult.
15:54A saguaro cactus will retain heat from the day.
15:57Even with FLIR cameras, it looks like a body out there.
16:02The concern, being so close to the border, is having fugitives escape to Mexico.
16:10Today we have an arrest warrant for this person for kidnapping,
16:14felony endangerment, an unlawful flight.
16:16So, he's going to try to flee.
16:23The girlfriend, copy that.
16:27When we're doing this, there's kind of a build-up.
16:29You get there, and it's boring.
16:31And then, all of a sudden...
16:33I got positive light.
16:34It's going down right now.
16:44Police, we have a warrant. You're under arrest.
16:47Come out with your hands up.
16:50We made our announcements. We made our presence known.
16:53And then, we start upping the pressure a little bit.
16:57Copy.
16:57And it sounds like that blue truck did drive up.
17:01Are you with him?
17:02Well, I was with him.
17:03Okay, yeah, you're driving that truck.
17:05We've been surveilling the place.
17:06We know he's inside.
17:07He's got warrants.
17:08Ultimately, today, he's going to jail.
17:10So, he's got to come out.
17:12Yeah, I get you.
17:13Do you mind calling him?
17:18No, well, he's expecting me.
17:21But I'll let him know.
17:23Okay, please let him know.
17:24We're not leaving.
17:25You got your pepperoni?
17:27Yeah.
17:29Still refusing to come out.
17:31Now, we're going to pinpoint him and redeploy some OC gas.
17:35We're going to make entry here pretty soon.
17:37All right, we're moving up to the south window and we need to go gas.
17:44Go ahead.
17:46Go ahead.
18:06Nice and slow.
18:10No hurry.
18:10Please don't move.
18:12Drop your hand.
18:13You understand me.
18:18So, where we located him was, he had pulled part of the wall off where there was like a
18:23little dead space.
18:24And he hid in that, pulled the wall back behind him.
18:26We're going to give him some water.
18:28And he's coughing a little bit because of the pepper ball.
18:31In this car.
18:37You all right?
18:39Yeah.
18:39Breathing a little easier?
18:41Yeah.
18:41How come you didn't just come out, man?
18:42It's been way easier.
18:43Way easier.
18:44You know what this is about.
18:45You got a couple of warrants.
18:46The one from four years ago?
18:48Yeah.
18:48Yeah.
18:49But I wish you'd have just came out and we could have got you booked in and there not been
18:52a problem.
18:53What problem is?
18:54Does that make it work?
18:56Well, it made it worse for you because none of your house is damaged.
18:58Yeah.
19:04Being able to accomplish the mission, I take that personally because I grew up here, I'm
19:11raising my kids here.
19:12I want the next generation to have a safe future, you know?
19:18So...
19:40To my roommates by you right now physically fighting like exchanging blows.
19:45Yes, we need the cops to come over here right now.
19:49Don't hang up.
19:50Do not hang up, okay?
20:00We have a fight ongoing.
20:02It's possible we still have a pretty active situation.
20:07Sheriff's Department.
20:09Are you the other one fighting?
20:11I'm not fighting.
20:12I'm defending.
20:13Okay, who are you fighting?
20:15We need to know.
20:15Who was his name?
20:16Honestly, I don't know.
20:19I don't really care.
20:22Okay, I understand that.
20:23But we need to know.
20:24You guys were fighting, honestly.
20:25Well, you guys can figure it out.
20:2726 and we'll take it to the park.
20:29All right.
20:29Put your hands behind you, babe.
20:31Put your hands behind you.
20:32Why?
20:34Why?
20:35Because you're fighting.
20:36I'm not fighting.
20:38That's the problem.
20:39I'm not fighting.
20:42Oh, my goodness.
20:44Let's go.
20:45You wearing a cane inside?
20:47We're going to put it inside.
20:49I'm not fighting.
20:51I'm not.
20:51I'm the one that called for my self-defense.
20:54So, this residence here is like an independent living home.
20:59It's a lot of elderly individuals.
21:01They had a disagreement.
21:04I was picturing a much younger crowd.
21:07I don't understand what's happening.
21:10That's fine.
21:10I haven't done anything.
21:12Tell me what happened.
21:13I don't know what happened.
21:15What fight?
21:16There was no fight.
21:17I'm not resisting.
21:20We're still trying to figure out what's going on.
21:21Oh, no.
21:21I'm going to get your side of the story.
21:23The deputies are getting the other side of the story.
21:25He has a pretty big gash in his forehead.
21:27How did that happen?
21:28I have no clue.
21:29I didn't do...
21:30I didn't...
21:31I didn't do anything.
21:32Did you hit him with a cane?
21:33No, I didn't.
21:34So, were you guys drinking tonight?
21:36I may have had just a touch.
21:39He's like claiming his hands.
21:41And we're trying to get an actual, like, viable witness in there.
21:44One lady gave a pretty good breakdown.
21:45So, I think they do paint him as the semi-aggressor.
21:48It sounds like they were just getting an argument over chores.
21:51So, they got into it today.
21:52They threw down in the kitchen.
21:53He hit him with a cane and cut his head.
21:56Yeah, he has a cane.
21:57Okay.
21:58And with the cane, cut his head.
21:59And they started fighting in the kitchen.
22:00Somebody grabbed a mop and started swinging.
22:02How much have you had to drink tonight?
22:04Not enough.
22:05Not enough.
22:06All right.
22:07Senior living.
22:10If he wants to start trouble, I'm ready for trouble.
22:15That's all.
22:15Put your feet in.
22:16Put your feet in.
22:16We'll get the AC going for you.
22:19No problem.
22:20Take care.
22:20Be safe.
22:21Take care.
22:22Take it easy.
22:24A bit confusing first going in.
22:26At the end of it, we were able to get one very clear, detailed witness account.
22:30And it did result in a physical arrest of one individual.
22:33At their age, physical fights can very easily result in serious injuries.
22:37I think they got off pretty light here.
22:41You know, whatever keeps the juices flowing, I guess.
23:06Carter.
23:07No, I'm on patrol.
23:11I'm on patrol.
23:12Our assignment for today is going to be more of our metro beat with a lot more foot traffic
23:15as well as reckless driving.
23:17Looking for any type of criminal activity or switch activity.
23:21As the evening gets into effect, you definitely see that people start to change.
23:26You start to pick up on unusual activity.
23:298707 Charlie Yankee, all of the area in Irvington.
23:39Just curious about the bicycle.
23:43He was coming out of the south end of this one neighborhood that we've had a lot of issues
23:46with.
23:47Has a lot of drug traffic.
23:50He was completely blacked out with a duffel bag, black hat, black shirt, black pants with
23:56his black gloves.
23:57I would say gloves in this weather are almost as suspicious as a ski mask out here in the
24:02desert.
24:05We're going to make contact with him.
24:096-5-2 traffic on the bike northbound on the car.
24:12I haven't lost a foot pursuit, but I have lost to a couple of bicycles.

24:46Put your hands behind your back.
24:47Put your hands behind your back.
24:49What did I do wrong, man?
24:50Put your hands behind your back.
24:53What's up, man?
24:55Lights, sirens, you look at me five times, you don't want to stop?
24:58Get off from under your bike.
25:01Why didn't you pull over?
25:02I didn't know what was going on.
25:04Trying to get away from me?
25:06I had lights and sirens behind you.
25:07I pulled up next to you.
25:08We're telling you to stop.
25:11What's in your duffel bag?
25:16Okay.
25:18What's up with the gloves, man?
25:24Mm-hmm.
25:26Okay.
25:29Ball cutters.
25:29Ball cutters.
25:31Hey, man, what are all those tools that you have with you?
25:36One of the tools you have, like, a big pair of ball cutters.
25:38What do you use those for?
25:40Those both are the same plans for, like, when I go to work.
25:44Gotcha.
25:45Yeah, you gotta grab a seat in the back seat right here.
25:49So that guy will be going to jail.
25:51He does have an outstanding felony arrest warrant for burglary, which is funny enough.
25:56He was in possession of bolt cutters and other regular tools.
26:01It's 9, 10 p.m. at night, and it's still 100 degrees right now.
26:06It's a little hard to believe that he would be cruising around with those gloves on.
26:11We got him off the streets tonight.
26:13That's really what matters.
26:16Hey, man, you want your property to go somewhere?
26:19My home.
26:19Do you have an address?
26:26Hello.
26:27Sheriff's Department.
26:28We're just dropping off some property.
26:29We just had to take him in tonight.
26:30Do it.
26:31Yeah.
26:32I got him already.
26:33Trust me.
26:33He tried to get away, but I got him.
26:35He needs that.
26:36He needs that.
26:37I love you, man.
26:38Also, I have an e-bike.
26:40You guys close with him?
26:41You guys see him at all often?
26:42I want you to be out here.
26:44Oh.
26:44You know, the streets are here in the streets.
26:46Yeah.
26:46He has a home.
26:47He's a family.
26:48He knows him.
26:49Yeah.
26:49You know, he's just to go out there and do these little things.
26:53Yeah.
26:53I'm sorry about that.
26:54I'm OK.
26:55Hopefully, we get him sorted, you know?
26:56Yeah, definitely.
26:57Yeah.
26:58Thank you very much.
26:59All right.
26:59Yeah, of course.
27:00You guys have a good night.
27:01Thank you, sir.
27:01I'll say good night.
27:02Thank you, guys.
27:04They're grateful that we dropped the property off, but they're also grateful that we took him into custody.
27:07He said that he needs something like this to kind of straighten him out, so the doors are open here
27:12for him.
27:14At times, going to jail can be one of the better things that happens to some people.
27:18Not everybody, but some people.
27:29You have incidents that stick with you.
27:32Stopping out with that dude kind of reminds me.
27:34A few months back, stopped out with a guy for the exact same thing.
27:38He was riding in the dark, completely blacked out.
27:41It turned into a whole ordeal.
27:44He turned around while fleeing and actually punched me.
28:03As I pulled him off the bike, he swung around, punched me in the face.
28:08He actually pulled my radio and my body cam off my duty belt.
28:11Get off me! Get off me!
28:14Get the f*** off me!
28:15Get off me!
28:17Get off me!
28:18He continued to resist.
28:20Get off me!
28:22Get off me!
28:23Another deputy arrived on scene.
28:28Give me other hand. Give me that!
28:30Give me other hand!
28:31There it is.
28:33Yes, sir.
28:34Yes, sir.
28:35Huh?
28:37You did so, can't you?
28:38Hey, chill out.
28:39Chill out.
28:40Okay.
28:40Getting hit in the face is definitely a wake-up call.
28:44Let's hit it.
28:45Okay.
28:46What's up?
28:47Are you okay?
28:49No, I'm not going to go see you, dude.
28:50Ah!
28:52Ah!
28:55An active roadway is one of the last places you want to be when you're fighting with an individual.
29:00Vehicles are going, you know, 30, 40 miles an hour.
29:03The Sheriff's Department has lost a deputy in the past from a very similar situation.
29:07In 2005, Deputy Timothy Graham was pursuing suspects, which had ran into the roadway when a vehicle struck them, killing
29:16them both.
29:18No, you used to run it that fast or what's the deal, man?
29:20No, I didn't know.
29:21I just got scared.
29:21I didn't know who it was.
29:22Okay.
29:23Yeah, the red and blue lights didn't give it away.
29:26You're putting yourself at risk anytime you're in the roadway.
29:31All it takes is a second.
29:33When it comes to you or a car, you're not going to win.
29:37Just scared the out of me.
29:41Go ahead and grab a seat at the road, go.
29:48So that warrant is good.
29:49We're definitely going to take you in for that, okay, man?
29:51What was it?
29:54This guy had a parole violation.
29:59We also found him with some narcotics.
30:02So that was an additional felony charge on top of having assaulted a peace officer.
30:34My unit is Community Problems.
30:36I get to take care of a lot of things that other people don't know what to do with.
30:39Today, what we're doing is we got a tip that there are two horses not being well taken care of.
30:45This is 105 degrees.
30:48No water, bone dry in all the buckets and vents.
30:52The horses look very sick.
30:53So we are going to seize those horses and we're going to take them to a rescue where they will
30:57be well taken care of.
31:01We're out in the county.
31:02A lot of our area is pretty built up, but a lot of it is very rural as well.
31:11It's a weird, modern Wild West.
31:15Thank you all for coming.
31:17We've got two horses being neglected.
31:20The owner got sent to prison.
31:22Watch for threats until everything's safe and we have people in handcuffs.
31:26It's always possible.
31:27They're setting up a 50-cow gun in there.
31:30Are there dogs?
31:31Pitbull.
31:31Oh, pitbull.
31:32Yeah, we're worried about a pitbull.
31:34The pack is going to be with us to get the dogs under control.
31:39Pitbulls, you know, you just never know.
31:40I would like them to be close enough so that you don't have to shoot a dog if they're right
31:45there.
31:50And off we go.
31:52Maybe we'll lasso a horse today.
31:55I hope nobody gets dog bit.
32:02We're going to cut the gate.
32:11Hands up.
32:12Come out.
32:13Come out.
32:14Hands up.
32:24We've got two horses that are being neglected.
32:28Come out.
32:29Come out.
32:30You can hear me somehow with your hands up.
32:32Good job.
32:33Keep coming.
32:34Keep coming.
32:36Got him.
32:36Keep coming.
32:37Just mind your back.
32:40Hey, let's go clear.
32:42The animals aren't taken care of.
32:45There's just way too much bone shown.
32:48You can tell they're not healthy.
32:50We'll document it all with the forensic people.
32:55Oh, you're so pretty.
32:58We're going to get you some grain.
33:00There we go.
33:02Those are about as western as you can get for horse types.
33:05Their buff is called a palomino.
33:07Their brown and white is a pinto or a paint.
33:11Here are Wild West horses, and they should be happy and skipping around.
33:34Tell me what's the location of the emergency.
33:37I'm by a trail.
33:38I'm training a squad, and I hit these rocks, and my bone's sticking out of my foot right now.
33:48You said you were riding a quad and your bone is sticking out.
33:51Are you bleeding?
33:52Who's with you?
33:54I'm just on the show.
33:55I want you to remain in that position right now.
33:57We do have help start it out to you.
34:03We're heading to a vehicle collision involving a quad.
34:06I think they have a compound fracture with a bone exposed.
34:10Definitely a common thing out here.
34:11You'll see a lot of underage drivers ripping through neighborhoods when they shouldn't be.
34:32The people that were with her, they were drinking as well.
34:35I'd like the information for those people.
34:38And they're friends of people.
34:39I'm talking about everything that happened today.
34:41Their names and so when I get the police report, I can follow up on a medical bill.
34:54She hit the gas to the brakes.
34:56Yeah.
34:56Foot got caught under the thing and snapped her foot.
34:59Lord have mercy on my soul.
35:01Ah!
35:02Just to make it towards the ambulance.
35:04One, two, three.
35:05Did they give her anything?
35:08Like, like...
35:08Thinnel.
35:09Yeah?
35:09Yeah.
35:11Her bone's sticking out.
35:14Mom.
35:18Tough kicky.
35:21And look like a champ.
35:24They race up here all the time.
35:25All the time.
35:26I saw a 13-year-old one day with a younger, like, 8-year-old with no helmets on and
35:31was
35:31a little go-kart-type one too.
35:33Oh, man.
35:33Yeah, we always see the kids ripping around.
35:35We light them up and they take off and I'm like, well, we're not going to chase you.
35:38You guys need, uh, I'll train you.
35:40Yeah.
35:40You need a Jeep.
35:41I got a gladiator.
35:42There you go.
35:43There you go.
35:46You guys watch out for the ambulance.
35:47It's going to be pulling out of here.
35:52Bungie and bang your head.
35:53Honestly, yeah, man.
35:55You see it all the time.
35:56Oh, yeah.
35:59That mom is concerned about the other friends in that group.
36:02She said that they were drinking and driving.
36:04She's pretty worked up about the situation, of course.
36:06It would be pretty difficult for us to do a DUI investigation on individuals that weren't
36:10operating a vehicle.
36:14That was a pretty unpleasant spot to be falling off a quad at, so, yeah, she definitely got
36:19off, uh, pretty well considering everything.
36:31I love working the midnight shift.
36:34It's definitely a very exciting shift.
36:36You see a lot of different calls.
36:38I discover guns, drugs, warrants, uh, things like that.
36:43I find a lot of drug involvement cases because I'm able to recognize signs and symptoms,
36:50conduct traffic stops.
36:51It's my ultimate mission just making sure everyone gets from point A to point B safely.
36:59So, this dude just tried to pull out in front of a bunch of people, almost sideswiped the
37:03car, put a lot of people in jeopardy of the collision.
37:06Still trying to do it.
37:09You and me are going to talk.
37:21You and me are going to talk.
37:24So, this dude just, uh, almost tried to pull out in front of a bunch of people.
37:27Still trying to do it.
37:28Nice.
37:46All right.
37:46So, not once, but twice did you try to pull out in front of people.
37:49No, first one, I, I, I, I, I saw late, and then the second one, I was behind the cast
37:56can, like, at an angle right there.
37:58Okay.
37:58The whole reason why I'm stopping you is just because of the driving behavior that I just
38:01saw right here.
38:01You almost caused two accidents right now.
38:03I saw two other vehicles in the number one, number two lane trying to go south, and you
38:06still pull in front of them, almost causing another accident.
38:09I'm, I'm sorry, man.
38:10I'm sorry.
38:11Any guns, weapons in the car, don't you worry about at all?
38:13All right.
38:13Do you have your license, registration, prevention?
38:15My license?
38:15Second, seven, colon, 78.
38:17Anything to smoke?
38:17Anything to drink at all tonight?
38:18My friends were smoking in the car earlier, which is why I'm, I'm sure it probably smelled
38:22like it.
38:22What were they smoking?
38:23Huh?
38:23Huh?
38:24What were they smoking?
38:25Um, uh, probably weed, but I don't think they were in the car, they were around the car.
38:28Okay.
38:29Yeah, yeah.
38:30All right.
38:31You can relax, man.
38:32You can relax.
38:33I don't think I started yelling at you yet.
38:34You're sweating profusely right now, son.
38:37I'm just going to have you just step out of the car just so I can check your eyes real
38:40quick, because at the end of the day, I just want to make sure everyone's getting
38:42home all right, okay?
38:46All righty.
38:47The first thing I'm going to do is just check your eyes, okay?
38:50I'm going to tilt your head back.
38:54I'm going to say close your eyes, and whenever I say the word start, you're going to estimate
38:5730 seconds, okay?
38:58Make sure your eyes are closed, and start.
39:05Okay.
39:0731 seconds, all right?
39:08Is there anything in the car that I need to be worried about at all?
39:09All right, can I check your car, just make sure nothing's in it that I need to be worried
39:11about?
39:12Okay.
39:13All right, just take that right here, all right?
39:33Why didn't you tell me about this?
39:40Okay, but when I ask you if there's any weapons in the car, I mean, like, I think this is
39:43a
39:43weapon.
39:43I don't think I...
39:46You don't consider a taser a weapon?
39:50Why would I want it?
39:52I got mine.
39:56You need to look left and right if you're trying to navigate, especially in this area, okay?
40:00A lot of cars, a lot of traffic.
40:01I hate for you to get T-boned, or you T-boned somebody else.
40:04Next time, just for more word of caution, if there's any weapons in the car, like I asked,
40:08you need to let people know, okay?
40:09Again, nobody got hurt, nobody got injured, or anything like that, but I mean, hey, a smarter
40:13guy would at least let a cop know that that's going on, right?
40:27He said that the trash can and lights were blocking his view, which, it can happen, still
40:32very much worthy of a conversation with us.
40:36The gentleman was able to perform well within the normal boundaries for all the tests that
40:40I administered.
40:41What my role and function is right now is just removing impaired drivers.
40:46I did not think he was one of those impaired drivers at all.
40:51This car has been straddling the shoulder, and he keeps veering off onto the bike lane on
40:59the east end of the road.
41:00Wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't at least stress that and just see what's going on.
41:11Hello.
41:12Always why I'm stopping you right now is you keep going over into the bike lane, and you've
41:16been doing that since Drexel.
41:18I was blocking me my eyelash.
41:21I was trying to fix it with the 15, but I'm so sorry.
41:24Okay, so just eyelash trouble.
41:27Are they...
41:27Yeah, I'm sober.
41:28Oh, yeah.
41:30Where are you heading to right now?
41:31To my friend's off.
41:32I'm just trying to make sure that everyone's getting from here to here safe, okay?
41:36I'm with the DUI here.
41:36You're not getting a citation or anything like that.
41:38I just want to make sure that you're not a...
41:40Not a drunk driver or anything like that.
41:43Interacting with you, I don't think you're under the influence of anything.
41:45I'm so sorry.
41:46It happens.
41:47Hey, we're only human.
41:48You have fun at your friends, okay?
41:50Hopefully your eyelashes don't bother you.
41:52I'm so sorry.
41:53Hey, it happens.
41:56I've definitely had it many a times where that ends up leading to an impaired driver.
42:01But her pupils aren't dilated or anything.
42:03I'm not seeing any other signs or symptoms that she's under the influence.
42:08I use a lot of discretion in just giving people a break.
42:10And so I want to do everything within my power, my capability,
42:14making sure that everyone, regardless if you're a bad guy, good guy, neutral guy,
42:19you're going home safe at the end of the night.
42:26You're welcome.
