00:00Opus Three Artists goes back a hundred years and we are tied to the premier and most important
00:06classical concert agency probably in the world and certainly in North America.
00:13I think what we look for most is a combination of virtuosity and a singular artistic voice.
00:19We need to focus on developing new kinds of art but still maintaining this tradition of
00:26excellence and virtuosity that we have in our 100-year history.
00:31From the invention of the radio, we've all been talking to each other, eating each other's
00:36food, we've been studying each other's languages, and now even just in America, we're retrenching
00:44back into tribes.
00:45You have Western classical music and hip hop.
00:49Many people see them as the polar opposites of cultural expression.
00:52What Hip Hop Orchestra Experience I think is doing is really creating new music.
00:58It's creating something that audiences haven't experienced before that they can feel equally
01:04welcome in and discover each other and create a new audience.
01:07This is a revolution.
01:08It was great.
01:38This is a revolution, and it is really interesting.
01:47you don't think i should retaliate the situation am i supposed to lay here like some girl
01:53administration curled up in the ball like some type of mental patient walking through life with
01:59the stench of hesitation i can't do that i got a moral obligation i'm putting in work and they
02:06gonna fill my occupation i'm gonna make sure they have a permanent vacation is it hard to understand
02:12well let me free the complication have you ever been kidnapped and held for ransom then beaten to
02:18the point to where you're no longer handsome real strong twine has your body confined and your mind
02:24is exhausted from all of the hard hits to the skull as they pull you from the floor thick blood
02:30drips
02:31from your mouth and nose and every time you cough your heart beats and off reputation your reputation
02:37is in submission mode your ventricle veins receive extreme pressure now you're having migraines
02:43they strap a green letter to a pigeon with demands written in it you're hoping that your family will
02:49get it and come to your rescue but they don't stress you so now you struggle for your life
02:55reaching for the light you gotta resist that you hearing them footsteps here comes the violence
03:01again it goes silent and then the torture begins and this is why i sing the concerto of a madman
03:11i must get even this human being born from semen is now a demon i'm gleaming
03:17in a mansion full of passion with an axe in my hand and a few rubber bands spreading out my
03:23plans
03:24studying my blueprints to bring the new gift to the world and when it unfurls the clouds will rank pearls
03:31my enemies receive a golden shower i tower over humbleness i can't stop this rubble in my soul
03:37in each staircase as long as how deep it goes and until you climb those stairs are stared at the
03:43bear inside of you growling vicious bear inside of you now then do you feel the madness jumping off the
03:52atlas for those you trusted with your sadness to blasphemous act behind your back what a secret attack
03:58it's time to react with the ceremonial repercussions to hear the drums
04:03rifles and mayonnaise in my head making me sweat come a little closer put your hands in my holster
04:10feel my commotions touch my emotions it's deeper than the oceans in the drivers my personality
04:16has adopted a tinge that can feel a syringe with the venom within me not even a kidney donor can
04:23filter
04:23the poison there is no abortion
04:30so
04:39so
06:37And it is the hip-hop orchestra experience.
06:40So this is a classical orchestra backing a rapper, several rappers.
06:45And so what you're seeing is this kind of new opportunity to experience different forms of music together.
06:53And really looking at what is the future of classical music and how do these things combine?
06:58And I think that's the opportunity that we have here in the Calvin Simmons and across the Henry J. Kaiser
07:03Center for the Arts is, you know, bringing in new ideas, understanding what's happening in the arts landscape.
07:10So we are just so excited to have this going on this evening.
07:15We are just so excited to have this going on this evening.
08:10We are just so excited to have this going on this evening.
08:13So fight now, because it's your God-given right, child, to know the truth.
08:19Seek it when you reach it, don't keep it as a secret, but share it, make it a team.
08:25We shall inherit the struggles, but I bear, and I don't compare anybody to anybody, because everybody is a part
08:32of the same body.
08:34Most just don't know it, I'm telling it, because I'm a shamanic poet.
08:39It's too deep, and my lyrics show it.
08:43The seed that the wicked plants, I never grow it.
08:46I know the truth, and everybody knows it.
08:49The universe is just one mind.
08:52The universe is just one mind.
08:56The universe is just one mind.
08:59And ain't no such thing as space nor time.
09:02Life is so deep, and so would you reap.
09:05Reap what you sow, eventually pay what you owe.
09:07Regardless what your karma is, time to stack merit towards spiritual elevation.
09:12This is the proclamation, to heal your nation, whatever your relation.
09:17Let's unite, it's time for unity.
09:19I study life studiously, and know it's time for you and me to come together.
09:23Be one forever, find the sun to treasure.
09:25Pleasure is measured within the life I live by how I live unselfishly.
09:30The wealth in me is healthy, set it free and share it.
09:32Give a care with every feeling you could care with.
09:35Dare to gift the little bitch you came in here with.
09:38For the ancestors and future generations.
09:40If you're in the position to give back, now's the time to do it.
09:46Right now.
10:11Oh.
10:23Oh.
10:28Oh.
10:30Oh.
27:14Take you.
27:44Take a little time.
42:16Yeah.
47:09Yeah.
47:36Yeah.
