Winter tricks have a way of turning into quick lessons when the surface is unforgiving.
At Perfect North Slopes in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, a skier approaches on a snowy run and launches into a flip.
As he comes down, his landing slips out, and he tumbles onto the icy patch, sliding briefly before coming to a stop.
The attempt is over in a moment, with the hard landing doing most of the talking.
The clip closes on the skier down on the slope after the fall.
