Lawmakers from Taiwan’s Democratic Progressive Party have proposed amendments to the National Intelligence Services Act aimed at countering what they describe as “cognitive warfare.” The proposed changes seek to clarify the definition of cognitive warfare and strengthen enforcement measures against it.

00:25or democracy. Online platforms could also be required to cooperate with authorities
00:30and even block or remove disinformation. Taiwan's intelligence agency says recorded
00:36more than 45,000 fake online accounts last year, many with links to China.
