Mike Ribble was once one of the world's best trapeze artists, the sixth to ever land a triple somersault, but a mistake in the execution of the exercise left him with a limp, and he stopped performing. Tino Orsini, a young and ambitious trapeze artist, seeks out Ribble to teach him the triple somersault technique and ask him to perform it with him. Thanks to their leap, Ribble and Orsini become the circus's star attraction, but the presence of Lola, another trapeze artist determined to make a name for herself, insinuates itself between the two, ultimately creating a love triangle that severely tests the relationship between the two men.
