10:16There's a case I worked where a call came out about suspicious activity.

10:33We had someone knock on our door, and they needed a jump.
10:38So my dad took my truck, and he's been gone the whole time.

10:52Someone had knocked on their door and asked if they could get a jump start on their vehicle.
10:57It's been a few hours, and their dad hasn't come back yet, but he had taken her truck.
11:02So the family was getting worried, and they didn't know where he was, so I took the call.
11:08Hi, this is Deputy Garza with the Pima County Sheriff's Department.

11:33So we have a couple units in that area that are pretty close by.
11:36They're heading over there right now.
11:39I just need you to keep giving me updates about where it's at, and if it moves, just

11:44It's a Silver Ranger.
11:46It's showing it's moving down towards Alvaron.
11:49So I was giving out live location updates, and deputies in Rincon were following the car
11:56straight across the city, and then it ended up landing at, like, an apartment complex.

12:07And after they had told me that they had found it, no one was in it, I was hoping for
12:11the best on that.

12:23He had come up to a vehicle that was, it was burned.
12:27It was a charred vehicle.
12:28I'm out with a burned-out vehicle on a code 900.

12:35He had been murdered.
12:37And it was at that point, you know, we came to the conclusion that that was most likely our
12:45guy.

13:09They were able to get a lot of evidence on that scene alone to kind of figure out who committed
13:14that crime.
13:15But from what it looked like, it was multiple people that were involved.

13:40Well, I'm an operator on the Pima Regional SWAT team.
13:43Our fugitive detectives, they had been able to locate all three of the suspects in one
13:50place in a mobile home park on Benson Highway.
13:54It was very compact in there.
13:56The mobile homes were very close to each other.
13:58But we were able to get it surrounded despite the fact it was, you know, a little bit challenging
14:04geographically.

14:12This one was a very serious homicide case.
14:16So, that's about as dangerous a suspect as you can get.

16:41this job is not only catching people and taking them to jail but going to court
16:46testifying to ensure that justice is served and that they you know they get
16:51the sentencing that that's required a man was murdered
16:58his family has a lot of questions as to why this is something that affected
17:05these people it changed it changed these people's lives like to the core he was a
17:10grandfather there was a younger child there at the house and now that kid's
17:15not gonna grow up with a grandpa I know I felt really I guess grateful that
17:22Christmas to be with my family especially you know right after that it happened
17:26that's my main takeaway spend time with the ones that you love the most that you
17:30can because they're the most important people to you and tomorrow can be your
17:34last day
