00:12Outlander is down to just two episodes before the finale and I honestly can't wait to see
00:17how this story we've been following for years is going to end.
00:20On one side, preparations for the Battle of Kings Mountain are still going on.
00:25And on the other side, Lord John Grey has been kidnapped and now Jaime has a very important decision to
00:33make.
00:33Will Jaime and William be able to rescue Lord John Grey?
00:37Will Fanny use the gemstone she found?
00:39How will Outlander and Blood of My Blood connect?
00:42Let's take a look together at what might happen in episode 9 and in the series finale.
00:47First, we need to quickly go over what happened in episode 8 because there were some really important developments.
00:54We finally saw the long-awaited meeting between William and Jaime happen.
00:59Honestly, I don't really get William's attitude.
01:01Yes, his anger has always been understandable.
01:04But no matter what William did, both Jaime and Lord John Grey never turned their backs on him.
01:10William definitely should have been more understanding.
01:13Thankfully, with Claire stepping in, William realized that this anger wasn't going to get him anywhere.
01:18And after a heartfelt conversation with Jaime, they worked through their issues.
01:22While all of this was happening, we also saw that Lord John Grey was betrayed by Percy.
01:28And unfortunately, he was captured by Captain Richardson.
01:32I can't even explain how upsetting this betrayal was.
01:35The fact that Lord John Grey was deceived like this by the man he loved is just unacceptable.
01:41But it looks like things might change in episode 9.
01:45So now, let's talk about what could happen next.
01:47In the episode 9 promo, we see Claire and Brie trying to convince Jaime not to go to war, as
01:54always.
01:54But we already know how determined Jaime is to fight and protect Fraser's Ridge.
02:00We also see that Benjamin Cleveland is calling Jaime to join the war.
02:05And Jaime might not really have a choice but to listen to him.
02:07If you remember, Jaime once referred to Benjamin as Devil.
02:11And that could be because Benjamin is always involved in battles and tends to push others into fighting, too.
02:18That said, I believe we'll see a rescue mission for Lord John Grey before the battle even begins.
02:24Most likely, once William and Jaime find out he's been kidnapped, they'll go after him.
02:29And I think this father and son will succeed, and we might even see William apologize to Lord John Grey
02:36and fix their relationship.
02:38And since Lord John Grey would then owe Jaime a favor, we could also see him fighting in the Battle
02:44of Kings Mountain.
02:45I also think the help Jaime gets during the battle could actually change everything, especially in episode 8.
02:52Seeing Mr. Whitaker come to help Jaime felt like a big deal.
02:56As you know, Claire brought Mr. Whitaker's baby back to life using blue light.
03:01And that kind of goes against the natural flow of time.
03:05So Mr. Whitaker showing up to repay that favor makes sense.
03:10And it makes me feel like the ending we saw in Frank's book might not be set in stone after
03:16all.
03:16I see two possibilities here.
03:18Either with the help of Mr. Whitaker and Lord John Grey, they win the Battle of Kings Mountain.
03:24And Jaime survives, or Jaime dies in the battle.
03:28But Mr. Whitaker might carry him to Claire, and Claire could bring him back using blue light.
03:33Honestly, if Outlander ends like this, I would fall in love with the show all over again.
03:37I think it would be a perfect ending for Claire and Jaime's love story after everything they've been through.
03:42So are these the only surprises in episode 9?
03:45Of course not.
03:46If you check the episode's IMDb cast list, you can see that several important characters are returning.
03:53Names like Dougal McKenzie, Jocasta Cameron, Murtaugh Fraser, Gellis Duncan, Old Ian Murray, Fergus, Frank Randall, and Jenny Fraser.
04:02As you can see, all of them played huge roles in Jaime's life.
04:06And honestly, I think the reason we'll see them again is because of Jaime's death.
04:10Most likely, before Claire brings him back, Jaime will see all the important people from his life one by one.
04:16And I can already tell those scenes are going to be very emotional.
04:20I don't think I'll be able to watch these final two episodes without crying.
04:25Alright, now let's talk about the biggest question.
04:27How will Outlander connect to Blood of My Blood?
04:30As you know, while the final season of Outlander was airing,
04:34we got the first teaser for Blood of My Blood Season 2.
04:37But even with that teaser, we still don't know if Henry and Julia managed to time travel together,
04:45or if they did, where they ended up.
04:47At this point, I think they could end up in Claire's timeline in Outlander.
04:52Because Henry and Julia don't fully understand how time travel works,
04:56and we don't even know if they have gemstones with them.
04:59Without gemstones, they might not land in the exact time they want.
05:02So, instead of going to Claire in their own time, we might see them arrive in Claire's time in Outlander.
05:09And that could lead to Claire seeing her parents again for the first time in years.
05:14Honestly, a scene like that would hit me really hard.
05:17Claire deserves a happy ending like that.
05:19Of course, we might only see Henry or only Julia.
05:23And whoever shows up, Claire could be the one teaching them how to time travel and guiding them through it.
05:28That way, in Blood of My Blood, we could watch one of Claire's parents trying to find the other with
05:34Claire now.
05:35Let's move on to another time travel theory, and this time it's about Fanny.
05:40As you know, in episode 8, Fanny found a gemstone and heard the buzzing.
05:46That basically means she's a time traveler too, and I think we'll definitely see that play out.
05:51Most likely, Fanny will use the gemstone to try and see her mother Faith.
05:56And Claire might help her with that, because if she doesn't, Fanny could end up in a completely random time.
06:02And one of those times could be the timeline of Blood of My Blood.
06:06And in that case, we might see Fanny find Henry and Julia and tell them about Claire.
06:12That would be another really interesting way to connect the two shows.
