00:01:39So we don't really get to see each other until there's events like this where you get to interact.

00:01:45But just being around these people is just the most uplifting and soul-nourishing thing.
00:01:50These crazy people. And I love them so much. It's been amazing.

00:03:53And then I showed up on set and I was like, these guys are going to take over the world.

00:04:02And after a few months of playing with them, they said, hey, you should...
00:04:09I tape in and that was it.
00:04:12I met Erica.
00:04:14She's my agent.
00:04:15And she had walked in there and I was working there.
00:04:20And she's like, you should come work at Real Short too.
00:04:22And I was like, all right.
00:04:22My first ever vertical, I was...
00:04:27That Rebecca was starring in.
00:04:31And it was very sweet because I almost like looked up to her.
00:04:34I was like, oh my gosh, this girl isn't so many.
00:04:37But I sat there as a background watching her get married.
00:04:39And, you know, it was just so sweet and beautiful to like be working with her now.
00:04:43I got an offer for a show, gosh, two years ago now.
00:04:48And it was a little bit more risque in nature.
00:04:53I was reading through the script and it wasn't something at the time that I felt like I could really
00:04:56do and make it look authentic and real.
00:04:58And so I told them I couldn't take it.
00:05:02And they were so good to me and so sweet and literally were like, not a problem at all.
00:05:07We have another script that's more, you know, PG-13.
00:05:11I was part of like kind of the first wave of people that started doing these verticals.
00:05:15Luckily, I got put on a Real Short production.
00:05:17That's when I was like, okay, yeah, like I can do a Real Short.
00:05:20To see where they were and to where they are now, like it's absolutely mind-blowing how far they've come
00:05:27in just two years.
00:05:28And it's crazy to think where they'll be two years from now.
00:05:31I was at USC and my agent sent me this thing and I didn't know what it was.
00:05:35So I went and I talked to a lot of people who had already been in a few verticals at
00:05:40that point.
00:05:41So they were kind of helping me through, explaining it to me.
00:05:43And then it just kept going.
00:05:45You know, I did my first vertical not knowing it was a vertical.
00:05:48It was labeled as a web series on one of the acting sites.
00:05:52And I showed up and the cameras were sideways and I was like, sick, what are we doing here?
00:05:55And then they explained it and I was like, that's actually incredible.
00:05:58Let's do it.
00:05:58I was cast in my very first one, which was called You Fired a Tech Genius.
00:06:03And when I spoke to the head of production and she offered me the lead role, this changed my life.
00:06:12Is there anyone here that you would like to work with that maybe you haven't worked with before?

00:06:19I don't think we've done a project together.
00:06:21And she's such a sweetheart and she's so cute.

00:07:22So I would love to do one with one of the other male leads like Mark, Richard, Jesse, Chris.
00:07:29Any of the boys, like I would love to shoot one with one of them.
00:07:33Because I see Seth all the time and we're friends.
00:07:37I think it'd be really fun if we played brothers in a vertical.
00:07:41I think that'd be a lot of fun.
00:07:42I think that's one of the really cool things about when I got to do American Sniper is we had
00:07:46a cast full of like leading men.
00:07:48And that never happens.
00:07:49Like I don't normally get to work with like the other leading men in the vertical space.
00:07:52Who was on the list today?
00:07:54And well just not all of them.
00:07:56Verticals have done so much for me.
00:07:58I obviously some of them are campy and silly.
00:08:01But really what they've done for me.
00:08:03I'm a very visual learner.
00:08:04And for my acting.
00:08:05For example people that aren't in the industry might not know.
00:08:08But when you film a feature film or you're filming in a television show.
00:08:12You film it and it doesn't come out for years sometimes.
00:08:14And so by the time you get the chance to watch it and critique your acting ability and learn from
00:08:19it.
00:08:20It's two years down the line.
00:08:22You fix most of those things that you're watching and you're like oh that's not working.
00:08:26But with verticals the good thing about it is it's like a boot camp.
00:08:30You're on all the time.
00:08:31You're in every scene.
00:08:32You get the chance to develop these characters and take them one way or another.
00:08:35And then you get to see it within two months.
00:08:38So you know exactly where you're at in your acting ability.
00:08:40It completely changed it.
00:08:41I was in a place during the writer's strike was going on.
00:08:45There was no work going on.
00:08:47My agency went bankrupt.
00:08:50And then I was just working these constantly.
00:08:52And I feel like a lot of actors have kept them afloat when they wouldn't normally have been able to.
00:08:56Because it's just so slow it feels like.
00:08:59And I feel like I've just gained a lot of good experience being in front of the camera.
00:09:03And good experience with turning around scripts really quickly.
00:09:07Because we move really fast.
00:09:08And I guess I've gotten a great amount of exposure.
00:09:12And I've gained people that like watching me.
00:09:15Which is great.
00:09:16It's been an overall very grateful experience.
00:09:20And I hope it keeps going.
00:09:22What are your goals for 2026?
00:09:24I don't know.
00:09:26I've got to get through this year.
00:09:28I think just keep working.
00:09:29Take the projects that really inspire me.
00:09:32Make time for friends.
00:09:34And be better about planning out those little breaks where I get to feel me and embrace my hobbies.
00:09:39And remember the things that I love and therefore who I am at my core.
00:09:44Prioritize my health a little more.
00:09:46Get back into Taekwondo.
00:09:47And work on more exciting projects that make me happy.
00:09:52I want to continue to be a greater walk of masculinity.

00:10:55I would love to actually take the action and mix it with my dad.

00:11:03I'm writing a short right now.
00:11:05It's like my I did a few in college but this is the first time post college.
00:11:08Which is much harder because no one's forcing you to do anything.
00:11:12So I'm doing that and it's kind of like a passion project.
00:11:16I see myself in a new place.
00:11:18I'm planning a move in 2026.
00:11:20Which can be a little bit hard when you're working in this kind of industry.
00:11:24When you just take what comes up.
00:11:25But I'm very excited.
00:11:28Moving feels almost like a reset.
00:11:30Like we're starting new at the beginning of the year.
00:11:33And I hope that just brings like even more like bright ideas.

00:11:41Outside of verticals really I'm very excited for this cartoon to come out.
00:11:45Because that is just something so so unexpected I think from what fans will see.
00:11:52As far as verticals like to find a home with Real Short it's such a rare thing.
