00:00Debra is packing for The Amazing Race and packing so many things that she does not need.
00:04I think you're packing too much stuff.
00:06You really have room for six rolls of toilet paper?
00:09Oh, you can't just downgrade your toilet tissue out of nowhere.
00:12I haven't had time to build up any kind of a tolerance.
00:14It's a shock to the system.
00:15What were some of the technical and production elements that you were surprised by when pulling off that episode?
00:20Because it was a sight to behold.
00:22Getting in Phil, getting in Elise Davenieri from The Amazing Race.
00:25What a fun episode.
00:28Oh, and the Property Brothers.
00:29Don't forget the Property Brothers.
00:30And Jordan Firstman and Trisha Paytas.
00:32Adorable.
00:34My 17-year-old lost his mind when he found out Trisha was going to be on the show.
00:39Lost his mind.
00:40And I wasn't familiar with her, so I said, what?
00:42What?
00:43And then he told this girl he's friends with, and she just about fainted.
00:46So they both came to the set and got to meet her and the Property Brothers.
00:53But yeah, no, it was the goat milking scene with Caitlin.
00:58And then he was the highlight, I think, for me.
01:01We get episode five, the Amazing Race storyline.
01:04Was that from the original, like from season one, you just knew we have to do something like this?
01:09I think season two.
01:10I think season two is where we have to do that.
01:12Season two, yeah.
01:15You know, I actually think we would do really well in Amazing Race together.
01:18Hmm.
01:20I could never fly coach.
01:23We would make up time, though, on the puzzles.
01:26100%.
01:26Debra and Ava, we put that in there that they were watching it to sort of set up the idea
01:31that Debra is a fan.
01:32She does watch it.
01:33So yeah, we've been talking about doing this episode for a while.
01:36But she wanted to do a full season.
01:38She wanted to do ten episodes of just them on the race.
01:40And I got down to one, and I'm still, I'm proud.
01:43And one's there.
01:43And I think they would have gotten pretty far.
01:45They would have been, yeah, two good.
01:47We would have had to do a full season.
01:49Yeah.
01:49They would have stayed on so long.
01:51But then it just felt really right that this would be something that DJ loved and would be a part
01:56of her history.
01:58And as a way to close out the Debra and DJ storyline, like a really sweet way for Debra to
02:03finally see DJ in this new light and finally realize she's been not giving her enough credit.
