00:23I don't care, Mary.
00:25I'm drinking in first class.
00:27See you soon, okay?
00:28I'm not so stupid how he thinks I am.
00:32And tonight, rehab ends.
00:34The work begins.
00:37You're about to watch
00:40Recovering Addicts
00:43continue their fight
00:45outside of treatment
00:46without a safety net.
00:49I'm Dr. Drew,
00:51and this is Sober House.
01:03It's 8 p.m. on Day 22,
01:05and Mary has made the decision
01:07to attend Swing Fest,
01:09despite repeated warnings from her peers
01:11about how it could jeopardize her sobriety.
01:13We're concerned about it.
01:15It's just really tempting,
01:17and it gets really weird,
01:18and you're going to be with someone
01:19who you're uncomfortable with right now.
01:24I wish you guys would come in.
01:26I know.
01:27She's going with her boyfriend, David Weintraub,
01:29with whom she continues to have issues,
01:32and I fear that this event could lead to a relapse.
01:35I'm drinking in first class.
01:36See you soon, okay?
01:39I'm not so stupid whore
01:41like he thinks I am.
01:51Mary, if you can't trust me
01:54and you can't listen to me,
01:55I can't do it.
01:57David, with all his drama
01:58and a hotel full of partying swingers,
02:01I think it might be a little hard
02:03to maintain sobriety.
02:11Please get ready.
02:12We need to walk out of here in three minutes,
02:14so please get dressed.
02:15I am dressed.
02:17Mary's going to host today.
02:19She's got a number of events,
02:20parties, autograph sessions,
02:22interviews, press.
02:24See where it takes us.
02:26Babe, enough.
02:28Stop.
02:28I just keep saying that.
02:29No, you're being annoying.
02:30Just let me deal with it.
02:33David's so mean.
02:43She's the host.
02:47Sometimes I really feel like
02:48David just wants to exploit me.
02:50We'll come back for a little candy.
02:51She likes it sweet,
02:52if you know what I mean.
02:53And just make money off me.
02:56What you're doing
02:56is what you're supposed to do.
02:57Exactly.
02:59You got to run
03:00in a hundred yards.
03:01That's right.
03:03I'm not sure
03:03if he really cares about me
03:05or if he just sees me
03:06as some stupid whore
03:08you can make money off of.
03:09This is the face of Swing Fast.
03:12I am f***ing hot.
03:14The one and only
03:15Mary Carey.
03:17You know,
03:17Mary Carey is like
03:18a fake happy.
03:19It's like I'm,
03:20you know,
03:20just smile for everybody
03:21because I feel like
03:21I have to.
03:22Can I kiss you?
03:24I'm definitely happiest
03:25when I'm Mary Ellen.
03:26Swing Fast awake!
03:39I want to stay sober,
03:42but this is definitely
03:44a challenge.
03:45It was vodka,
03:45Red Bull,
03:46maybe.
03:47You know,
03:47it's hard too
03:48because David's drinking.
03:49If he was really
03:50wanting to be supportive,
03:51he would be staying
03:52sober with me.
03:53I need a vodka
03:55and a Red Bull
03:56without us ordering it
03:57from the way
03:58to just bring it
03:59to the table
04:00for now.
04:07Somebody's gonna come up
04:08to you
04:08and bring you a drink.
04:09What?
04:10When it comes,
04:11you'll know what it is.
04:12I'm not gonna do that,
04:13David.
04:14No vodka tonight.
04:15No vodka tonight.
04:18When I finish this process
04:19and become sober,
04:20I don't even know
04:21if I want to hang out
04:22with David anymore.
04:26I was really upset
04:27when I left Swing Fest
04:28because I switched my flight
04:30to leave as early as possible
04:31and David wanted to stay
04:33the extra day longer.
04:34At this time,
04:35we'll continue
04:35with our ghost card holders.
04:37I don't know
04:38how much I trust David.
04:39I know he was at a
04:40swingers party
04:41and, you know,
04:42he's probably drunk.
05:04without a drink.
05:06Are you fine?

06:13Mary finally found the courage to take a critical step towards claiming her sobriety
06:2031
06:21Hey David, you know everyone in the house is right about you
06:24The way you talk to me it is totally wrong
06:27The way you have treated Seth is wrong
06:29I just really think that I want to keep it strictly business
06:34And I really don't even want to keep it business
06:35except for the fact that we have the book deal
06:38yeah, now you're a 12 year old
06:42what a surprise, David, it hung up on me
06:47breaking up with David is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do
06:51but it made me realize how much I value the friendships and support that I have found with my new
06:55fellow roommates

07:26I wanted to have him sit down with renowned psychiatrist, Dr. Charles Sophie, to help him address these issues.
07:32Hi, Dr. Sophie.
07:34Andy, how are you? Nice to meet you.
07:36Have a seat. Make yourself comfortable.
07:38So we were going to meet today as an initial meeting to kind of get some kind of plan to
07:42move forward.
07:43So tell me, when you were using, what was your drug of choice beer?
07:48A lot?
07:49A lot of beer.
07:51Regularly?
07:52Every day.
07:53Any criminal history?
07:57What's that mean?
07:58Well, just a little bit. I've been arrested a couple times, and I crashed my car and got a DUI.
08:04We went to jail for that.
08:06Tell me, what was it like growing up?
08:08My dad was in the Navy, so he just physically wasn't there. And my mom was drinking a lot, so
08:13she wasn't there. You know, look at that.
08:16But they were great. My mom had dinner on the table all the time.
08:19But did you just hear yourself?
08:21My dad was never there. My mom was drunk.
08:24They were great, though.
08:25Well, they were. That's all I knew.
08:28Yeah, I understand that. But that doesn't mean they're bad. But that does mean that maybe you didn't get parenting.
08:34Yeah. I don't think I got much parenting.
08:36And I think that there's a lot of stuff in there to trigger anybody. How old do you think you
08:41are emotionally?
08:46I might be 12.
08:48Are you afraid to grow up?
08:51I'm not afraid. I just, I kind of don't want to.
08:56So tell me, do you like yourself?
09:00Yeah, sometimes. There's a lot of things about my past that I don't like.
09:08I would love to redo chunks of my life. Go back and just redo it. Do it right.
09:15Well, you know, you have the opportunity to do somewhat of that. Kind of going out and making your amends.
09:22And repairing the people that, you know, got trampled on in the meantime.
09:27Yeah.
09:28Because if you don't, that's what triggers you to drink.
09:31Okay.
09:33That's our plan?
09:34Yeah.
09:35Okay.
09:36That sounds good.
09:36All right.
09:37Thank you.
09:38Nice to meet you.
09:39Nice to meet you.
09:39I'll see you again.
09:39Thank you, sir.
09:40Thank you, sir.
10:10I'm not comfortable talking about her stuff, but we'll find out.
10:19Oh, did I scare you?
10:22I'm sorry.
10:24You did scare me.
10:25Hi, baby.
10:26Hi.
10:26Thanks for meeting me.
10:31Aw.
10:32Are you losing weight, Danny?
10:34No.
10:35You're just always skinny.
10:37Thanks for meeting me.
10:39Well, I wanted to see you, because I'm still living up in the house, and I can't really go out,
10:44but I wanted to apologize.
10:51And you know what?
10:53I'm sure there's a million things to apologize for.
10:56I'm glad you asked.
10:57Here's my list.
11:00The scroll.
11:01Yeah, I was going to ask you, because most of the time I was so drunk I don't even remember.
11:05Let me hit the ones that I remember.
11:07Okay.
11:08I remember you were on stage at one of the comedy clubs, and I was out of my mind.
11:14You ruined my set.
11:16Yeah.
11:16I apologize for that.
11:18As per usual, Andy, Nick, you had to make it about you.
11:24But not anymore.
11:27I'm not drinking.
11:28We'll see.
11:31Do you remember having a conversation with my ex-husband?
11:41That was horrible.
11:43And I'm divorced now.
11:45I should make an invest in him.
11:47That was really, really painful for him.
11:54That was really bad.
11:56That was a big one.
11:58It really is.
12:01I was trying to help.
12:03But I was sick, and I was...
12:07You know, there was a lot of stuff going on, if you remember.
12:11That's why I called you.
12:13You're really one of my only friends.
12:15I have left.
12:17You understand, you know?
12:19But all my other friends, I really lost.
12:22I really lost.
12:23Killed them.
12:24Killed them.
12:27Yeah.
12:27You're one of my only friends.
12:34That was very good for me to do, but I need to do that...
12:39hundreds of times over, with a lot of different people.
12:46Coming up, this is a...
12:55For every patient, relapsing brings with it additional problems and stress.
13:00Unfortunately for Stephen, his last relapse precipitated legal consequences as well.
13:05You still smell it.
13:07You still smell it.
13:08You still completely chaked with heroin.
13:21Well, I'm getting ready to go to court, take care of a business that I brought upon myself,
13:28that I need to take care of, so I can move on to the future, and the only way to
13:33do that
13:34is to show up.
13:36And that, and I don't want Dog, the bounty hunter, coming looking for me.
13:41Stephen Adler seems to be doing better since his last relapse.
13:46All right.
13:47That's respectable, huh?
13:49However, as a result of his actions, he's had to hire a lawyer, and now must appear in court.
14:02This is a simple, we call a pretty basic drug possession charge.
14:08The only difference is that it's heroin, which carries probably the most stringent penalties
14:16of all the drugs you could abuse.
14:19That is a bus you never want to be on.
14:23There's two places you don't ever want to be, and it's in jail, and having to have to
14:28go to court.
14:28And the morgue, there's three places.
14:30I'm in the morgue.
14:31I'm telling you, you don't know you're at the morgue.
14:41Good luck, we'll catch you when you're coming out.
14:43All right.
14:48Okay, good luck, good luck.
14:50We'll see you when you come out.
15:01How'd it go in there?
15:02It went great.
15:03It went great.
15:04We have the matter put over to the 20th of August for arraignment.
15:11All right, well, listen, the bottom line is I made a mistake.
15:14A relapse, you've got to pay for your mistakes, you know.
15:19Steve, any advice?
15:21Have your loved ones videotape you using, and then watch it when you're sober, and see how
15:31terrible you look, and how terrible you act, and I'm pretty sure that'll help you not want
15:36to use any more.
15:52Andy has begun a very difficult but critical step towards his recovery by making amends
15:57to those he has harmed.
15:58With each amends, he can get closer to restoring his spiritual emptiness that in many ways is
16:03at the core of his addiction.
16:06So, I'm about to see a guy named Craig.
16:11He's the owner of a bar called The Woods, which I've been kicked out of on a number of occasions.
16:17So hopefully this guy will accept my amends, because I don't know.
16:21Maybe he won't.
16:25It's dark in here.
16:29I didn't really realize how beautiful this place is.
16:33How are you doing, Andy?
16:34Hey, Greg, how are you?
16:36I'm doing a lot better.
16:39Well, I came to address, you know, me coming to your bar, I think a lot.
16:46You came here, like, right when I opened.
16:49You haven't made it to my new one yet.
16:51What's that?
16:52I'm not telling you.
16:55Well, I want to apologize for the way I act when I just drink too much.
17:02Obviously, I'm drinking to the point where I don't know what I'm doing, and I do something
17:08to upset somebody, and all of a sudden I'm being escorted out.
17:11I've come to learn to just go along with it.
17:14As soon as I feel somebody grabbing my arm, I'm like, what did I do now?
17:17I don't even fight it, and I just leave.
17:19I mean, I appreciate you apologizing to me.
17:21I don't enjoy having to tell people to leave.
17:25I specifically don't enjoy seeing people that you know need to stop.
17:32You know what I'm saying?
17:33Yeah.
17:33I mean, yes, this is what I do, and this is where I make my money, but I'm not here
17:36to
17:37see people destroy themselves.
17:38I do have vague recollections of you just being really nice to me when I was not in
17:46a good place.
17:47I'm in a sober living right now.
17:50I went to rehab, went into sober living.
17:57So I want to apologize.
18:02Yep.
18:03That's very sweet.
18:15Coming up.
18:16You get up.
18:17You do stupid.
18:24With only a few days left until the residents leave the sober house, I'm encouraged by
18:29their progress, especially Rodney, who's steadily becoming more secure in his recovery.
18:34But I fear that if he doesn't find a healthy way to work and live.
18:38How are you feeling?
18:39Feeling good.
18:40Yeah.
18:40He may spiral back into his old ways when he leaves the sober house.
18:44I wanted to meet with him to discuss his plans for the future.
18:48My brother just started a job today.
18:49He just started the construction job.
18:53Yes, the construction.
18:55So I'm going to call him so I can find out when I can get started.
18:59Oh, you're going to work for him?
19:00Okay.
19:00Yeah.
19:01So it would fit into your structure here at Sobel Living, right?
19:03Yeah.
19:04Oh, yeah.
19:04He'll make sure.
19:05Yeah.
19:05Great.
19:06And what are your challenges right now?
19:08My challenges?
19:10Yeah.
19:11I've been really thinking on really turning the house into a sober living.
19:17Your own home?
19:17Yeah, my home.
19:19Will you have to get rid of some people to do that?
19:21You know, but I don't now.
19:22I don't now because my brother, he's moved on with my aunt.
19:27And so it's just me and Don there.
19:32And we was thinking about just, you know, getting an apartment somewhere and just, you
19:36know, make sure the house runs like a productive sober living house, you know, with the meetings.
19:42Right.
19:42And all.
19:43Great.
19:44And I feel good about it.
19:45That could be nice.
19:46Yeah.
19:47Yeah.
19:47I want to give something back, you know?
19:49Good.
19:51Part of being sober.
19:53Right.
19:54I think you're doing real well.
19:54I think you know you're doing well.
19:55Thanks.
19:57Thanks for everything, doctor.
19:58Do it again, my friend.
19:59Really appreciate it.
20:08After talking with Dr. Drew about starting my own sober house, I felt pretty motivated about it.
20:13I decided to take a ride out to my house.
20:16I hadn't been back there since I got sober.
20:21But when I walked in, I was absolutely shocked.
20:26Gosh, I couldn't believe that's how I was living my life.
20:40I looked around, and it was hard to imagine, you know, my drinking had got me to this place.
20:52For the first time, it hit me that my addiction had robbed me of everything.
21:11Coming back here and seeing my house in this condition, there's no way I could set up a sober house
21:18here.
21:20This was enough to make me want to start drinking again.
21:23I mean, I just wanted to get the hell out of there, you know?
21:33Life is more exciting, sober.
21:36I'm more childlike when I'm sober.
21:39I want to go explore and do things.
21:42When I was drinking, I just wanted to sit in my booth at the pizza place and drink my pitchers
21:48of beer.
21:49That's all I wanted to do.
21:51So boring.
21:52My assistant would say, are we going to sit here in the pizza place again for five hours?
21:58Cooper used to be my assistant, and we got sober together.
22:02He has remained sober, and I remained drunk.
22:08So I need to make an amends to him because I think I made him look bad on a number
22:12of occasions.
22:13Good to see you, buddy.
22:15Hey, buddy.
22:18How are you?
22:21What's this?
22:22This is, um, they actually put me in the psych ward.
22:26They were smart.
22:27I drank so much that they tranquilized me in the ass twice.
22:32You would have laughed at it.
22:35I would have.
22:35You would have laughed at it.
22:39Well, the reason I wanted to talk to you in person like this is because I want to apologize
22:43for things that I've done to you that weren't cool.
22:48Whether it was me yelling at you, or whether it's making you look bad
22:53because you invited me to one of your clubs, and then I show up drunk.
22:57And the thing is, the weird thing is that usually I was so drunk that I don't even remember.
23:01And I'm asking you, are there things that I need to apologize for that I'm not even aware of?
23:08You get to f*** up, you do stupid s***, and it could quite possibly kill you.
23:15There was a time when we were driving back from Vegas that I had tried saying,
23:19Andy, you can't drink an open beer in the car.
23:21And pouring it all over me, I get out of the car, you drive off.
23:24I was sitting there at 2 a.m. on the side of the 15 in the middle of Death Valley.
23:29Like, okay, what the f*** am I going to do now when my cell phone was in the car?
23:35Just so you understand the level of insanity that you went to, you know,
23:40there was the time where we were pulling onto the street, and your foot was out the window.
23:45I was rolling the windows up, and you thought I had tried to trap your foot in the window,
23:49so you started kicking me in the face.
23:55I love you, buddy, and I'm always going to be here for you.
23:59Just not when you're acting like you.
24:01I just want to tell you that I have to apologize for all the crap I put you through,
24:08but I'm sick of it, and I'm done with it, and I ain't going back.
24:12This is the first time where I have put sobriety before anything else.
24:18Career, family, you, friends.
24:20I just got it, too.
24:23You know, if you take this seriously, that's the best amends you can make to any of us who are
24:29actually close to you.
24:34I want nothing more than for you to succeed.
24:36I love you.
24:41We're meeting with Andy, and he went great.
24:42I think he's taking it seriously.
24:44You know, he seemed honest, and it's the first time I've heard him say that he's putting his recovery for
24:50anything else in his life,
24:51and it means a lot to me, uh, because he's taking care of himself.
24:55I mean, that's a big thing.
24:58Coming up.
24:59Today, I really...
25:04I have grave concerns for Nikki, who just two days ago was making amazing progress with her music
25:10until she got word of a tragedy surrounding her friends and family.
25:14To make matters worse, today marks the anniversary of her mother's death.
25:18It's really hard dealing with the death of my mom sober.
25:22You know, God works in mysterious ways.
25:26Everything hit me all at one time.
25:28I was thinking about things and trying not to cry, and just...
25:33Normally, I would have a few drinks, do a little bit of bloat, and I'm the pain.
25:37I mean, just anything to take it away.
25:42Tonight, she must sing for the first time at her new job in Beverly Hills.
25:46So I wanted to meet with her to be sure she's not on the brink of a relapse.
25:52How are you?
25:53We're very colorful.
25:55Yeah.
25:56Bright.
25:57So how are you?
25:59Not very good.
26:00Yeah.
26:01Did you wake up feeling bad, or did you anticipate feeling bad,
26:05or were you thinking this would be easier than you thought?
26:10I don't know.
26:15Give me your thoughts now.
26:16Where has this all taken you today?
26:18Well, when she was here,
26:21I wish I could just hug her one more time,
26:23or hear her call me dirty bitch.
26:25I don't care.
26:27You know?
26:30It's so hard.
26:32It was so unfair.
26:34Are you blaming yourself, Les?
26:36I don't know.
26:39I just wish I wouldn't have been there partying with her.
26:42Okay.
26:43Fair enough.
26:47You need to let yourself off the hook.
26:50Maybe not today, but you've got to forgive yourself.
26:55I don't know.
26:56Today I really feel like I need a drink.
26:59I'm sure.
27:01No.
27:02You're going to be okay?
27:03I don't know.
27:05Honestly.
27:08I don't know.
27:12Aren't you going to perform tonight, too?
27:13Yeah.
27:14Is that going to be okay?
27:15I don't think so.
27:16You don't think it's going to be okay?
27:18It's just not really what I wanted to be doing today.
27:21What do you want to do?
27:23Cry.
27:25What's a better thing than just crying?
27:27Yeah, well, I just don't know if I'm going to make it through inconsolable,
27:31and I'm worried about that.
27:33But, you know, it's a really deep song about somebody that just passed away,
27:40and, you know, I can't imagine a life, my life without you kind of song.
27:45I just don't know if I'll be able to make it through this song.
27:48If you're not moving forward in recovery...
27:53But I am.
27:54Yes, you are.
27:54Yes, you are.
27:55No, no, no, Nikki.
27:56I'm very pleased with how you're doing.
27:58Very, very pleased.
27:59And you're tolerating today.
28:00You have been doing very well.
28:01I think that's just because that's me.
28:05Like, I'm tired of trying to be the other person.
28:11The hostile, aggressive person.
28:13Right.
28:14Well, the rock star chick.
28:16This one.
28:17Yeah.
28:18Now, I have to figure out a way to, you know,
28:22be that crazy rock star on stage without drugs and alcohol.
28:26Like, I have to totally turn it around and find a new way to do that.
28:30And I think that that person is almost gone, like the bad one.
28:36Mm-hmm.
28:37And that more of me is coming out, and I'm more positive, and I'm more sweet and sensitive.
28:46And can you draw the two together a little bit?
28:48I have to find a new way to do that.
28:51I believe you will.
28:54So.
29:07Ever since Stephen's court appearance, he seems to have had a shift in attitude.
29:12Not only has he become very lethargic, but he appears to have adopted an aggressive attitude.
29:19Just a week ago, he offered to help Nikki with her music.
29:23So, Stephen, I needed to ask you, if we, like, put this whole band together, will you drum?
29:28Yeah.
29:29Yeah?
29:29Please.
29:30I'd love to.
29:30Awesome.
29:30Really?
29:31Come on.
29:32That'd be cool.
29:33But now, just hours from her big performance, he's having second thoughts.
29:37You okay?
29:38Yeah.
29:38I got the Nikki thing.
29:41You consider to do the Nikki thing, too?
29:42Yeah.
29:43Yeah.
29:45Yeah.
29:45It's one song.
29:46It's the one you recorded.
29:47Yeah, I don't know.
29:49I don't think we should do it.
29:51She doesn't need me, necessarily.
29:53Well, she wants you there.
29:55Yeah, I know she doesn't.
29:56But she was like, I think about what I'm supposed to do.
30:00This is what I want to do.
30:01It's one show that we don't even have anything to play together.
30:05It's like karaoke.
30:06You're okay.
30:08You're not so good.
30:11She looks to you.
30:13Don't start with that.
30:14I don't work with nobody.
30:16I want nobody to look at me.
30:17All right?
30:18Don't give me that.
30:19Try to make me feel guilty with you.
30:20It doesn't work on me.
30:22It's Chuck that's talking.
30:23That's right.
30:23And Chuck is trying to make me feel guilty over here, and it sounds crazy.
30:27You can listen to the songs.
30:29Listen to it and play it.
30:31It'll be totally different, honey.
30:33Okay?
30:34Don't tell me about it, about my job.
30:36I'm not telling you how to run your show.
30:38Don't tell me I can just do this.
30:39I can do that.
30:40I know what I can do.
30:41Just giving you an idea.
30:42I know what I want to do.
30:44I'm just telling you, because you don't let anybody talk.
30:48I'm talking because other people are telling me what to do.
30:59But nobody's disagreeing with you, buddy.
31:01It seems like you are.
31:02No, I'm not.
31:03I'm just, my job is to give you the facts and let you make the decision.
31:21Coming up.
31:22No.
31:29Come on.
31:29We're going to be late.
31:30I'm ready to go.
31:31You should perform in these tonight.
31:33I am.
31:33Oh, well, good idea.
31:36Tonight, we get to go to P.F. Chang's, which is my mom's favorite restaurant.
31:39That outfit's going to be hot tonight.
31:42I'm so excited to see you perform.
31:44And then after that, I got to perform.
31:46And I'm a little bit nervous.
31:48I don't know that I'll be able to make it through inconsolable.
31:59This is a really important night for Nikki.
32:02And when I heard that Stephen wasn't going to perform with her, I wanted to see what was
32:06up with him.
32:07Are you going to perform tonight?
32:09I guess, I'm going to show you how long it's here.
32:12Yeah.
32:13They'd love to you, too.
32:23I think that Nikki just goes ahead of the table.
32:29Nikki, why is this a special place?
32:31What's magic here?
32:32This particular location was the first time my mom had ever had P.F. Chang's.
32:38And it was while I was on American Idol.
32:40And she just raved about it.
32:42So this particular location is in the middle.
32:45This is the place.
32:46This is the one.
32:47I didn't know this was the one.
32:48Oh, this one?
32:49Yes.
32:49You guys, to Nikki.
32:51I'll drink a virgin Mai Tai with you, Nikki.
32:53To Nikki.
32:54To me!
32:58Where's Stephen and Ron?
32:59Why aren't they coming to dinner?
33:01Stephen, hi, today.
33:02I totally thought he was high today, too.
33:05How I can really tell is he's getting so irritable.
33:08Yeah.
33:08And because he wants to be home.
33:10He looks not himself again.
33:13And I'm concerned for him.
33:14I'm concerned he might be getting high or he's going to get high.
33:17Yeah.
33:18He might just be going through a really tough time.
33:20Okay.
33:21He might be.
33:21That makes you look really high.
33:23You know, there's a lot of drama and he doesn't like it.
33:25Yeah.
33:27It's 8 o'clock.
33:28You're supposed to be on at 8 o'clock.
33:29I know.
33:32The worst thing that could happen in my performance tonight was that I cry through
33:36Inconsolable.
33:37And I just can't do it.
33:39There's just so much going on for me right now that I honestly can't believe I'm still
33:43sober.
33:45I'm really nervous.
33:46It's my first time performing sober, really.
33:50So it's definitely going to be a new experience for me.
33:53It's also the anniversary of my mom's death.
33:57So, you know, I'm going to be doing this one for her.
34:04Francisco.
34:05Hi.
34:06How are you doing?
34:07It's good to see you.
34:08We're very excited to have you here.
34:10This is a very fun place to be.
34:13So I'm going to leave you for a couple of minutes.
34:16Okay.
34:16I'll call you when we're ready.
34:17Okay.
34:18Okay.
34:18All right.
34:18So take your time.
34:20All right.
34:20Thank you.
34:21Bye-bye.
34:21Bye.
34:24I'm used to being able to have a couple of drinks before I go on stage.
34:27So it's something that weighs really heavily on my mind, but I just can't do it.
34:32Hey, everybody.
34:33How are you?
34:35How are y'all feeling tonight?
34:37Great.
34:37We're going to have a little great night, a little entertainment for all of you.
34:41The wonderful and beautiful friend of mine, who I love very much.
34:45Beautiful and talented Nikki McGiven.
34:50Come on.
34:54Thank you.
34:58All right.
34:59This song I'm going to dedicate to my mom and my best friend.
35:03So here we go.
35:10Here we go.
35:14Memories frozen in a picture frame.
35:19Days go on, things will never be the same.
35:26When you're left too soon, I believe a part of you will always stay with me.
35:50I can't go on, pretending everything's gonna be the way it was.
35:58Can you hear me?
36:04I am inconsolable.
36:13Thank you.
36:14Thank you.
36:19It was really good just to be able to finally let go.
36:22I think I was afraid to show any kind of emotion because I was afraid that I was going to
36:27break down and cry.
36:28And so to know that I can make it through it sober, I know my mom would be proud.
36:32And so I felt like I was honoring her memory.
36:43Coming up.
36:52My hope is that Nikki's performance has inspired the others to realize they can have similar triumphs in their own
36:58lives.
36:59Unfortunately, the group is now faced with the painful possibility that Steven Adler may have relapsed yet again.
37:07This is the latest you stayed up, Nikki, I think.
37:10Did you have fun?
37:12Yeah.
37:13I got to see what you're saying.
37:15Steven did a good job, but he seemed a little wasted.
37:18He was falling high at my show.
37:21Oh, my gosh.
37:23Oh, I really hope he's not using.
37:25He's been high for so many years.
37:28That's crazy.
37:29And his, I mean, he's just so f***ed up.
37:33But you guys had him sober in rehab for the full time, right?
37:36He didn't do any drugs, you know.
37:37I'm like, now I know that.
37:39Do you think he ever smoked before process groups?
37:42What does he keep getting all the drugs from?
37:44You know what?
37:45He was probably getting the drugs when he kept leaving the house a lot lately.
37:49Maybe, like, he was walking away and going outside and going to smoke a cigarette or something and having some
37:53eat him.
37:54I mean, it's not hard.
37:55Drug addicts are smart when they want to get their drugs.
37:58You guys, I just got to go test him.
38:08Stephen, I need you to do a pee test for me, honey.
38:26There's a female.
38:28I see it.
38:30To see a female.
38:32Is he high?
38:42Next, on the season finale of Sober House.
38:45The bail rules have been, you are to remain in treatment.
38:49You know what Steve is doing?
38:50I'm going, I got f***ed in this crap.
38:52Steve, Steve, don't walk out.
38:54Stephen.
38:55Are you going to handcuff me?
38:56F***.
38:56And arrest me now.
38:57Just take me f***ing there.
38:58Go ahead.
38:59Go ahead.
38:59Arrest me now.
39:01Are there things you want to tell Lucas about how you've been as a father?
39:04I wanted to just apologize.
39:07It felt a little empty to me, I've got to be honest with you.
39:09I mean, you're talking about this young man's entire life with his father.
39:12And it's not, oh, I'm sorry.
39:14Did I tell you I found a cute apartment today?
39:16No, you didn't.
39:17Oh, it's a sublet and, you know, it's all, it has everything.
39:22I love you.
39:23Bye, Mary.
39:25Everyone says they're going to keep in touch, but I, we'll see.
39:30Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
39:32Ha, ha, ha.
