Passengers on Jakarta’s Bekasi line resumed commuting by train on Thursday (April 30) as the East Bekasi station reopened days after a deadly collision that killed 16 passengers.

While trains returned to normal schedules, many passengers said fear and trauma lingered, calling on authorities to improve safety at railway crossings.
