Panic gripped a residential area in Sta. Cruz, Manila early Thursday, April 30, as a fast-spreading fire tore through homes, quickly escalating into a fourth alarm blaze. The fire broke out at around 2:41 a.m. along Mayhaligue Street in the Masangkay area.

Within minutes, it surged to a second alarm and was raised to a third alarm by 3:27 a.m., before reaching fourth alarm status as flames continued to intensify. (via Diann Calucin | MB)
