L’Atlético de Madrid retrouve le dernier carré de la Ligue des Champions dans une affiche marquante face à Arsenal. Une situation qui n’était plus arrivée depuis plusieurs années et qui ravive forcément des souvenirs forts. Entre excitation et attente, cette demi-finale représente une opportunité rare pour le club madrilène de retrouver une finale européenne.  Malgré une lourde défaite 4-0 en phase de groupes, un sentiment d’accessibilité se dégage autour de cette confrontation. Arsenal reste une équipe de très haut niveau, avec un effectif solide, mais l’impression demeure que cette double confrontation est à la portée des Colchoneros.
