00:18small delivery yet a big transformation for pig farming across the country in Jitrimbi district
00:24northern Rwanda Jankrod is among the area doctors he has spent 17 years in pig farming and is now
00:31one of just seven certified breeders in the country before drones accessing quality breeding services
00:37was slow costly and often unreliable before zipline came into support in semen delivery it was difficult
00:46for farmers to get semen in real time but now my pigs conceive more easily i get more piglets and
00:52better income it has really changed how we farm today once a pig is ready farmers can receive
01:01high quality semen within minutes allowing for timely artificial insemination the results healthier pigs
01:07improved genetics and higher productivity officials at rwanda agriculture and animal resources development
01:14board say that drone delivery of swine semen has transformed pig farming across the country
01:19the report that success rate of insemination has risen by nearly 30 percent boosting pork production
01:26and improving veterinary services across the country especially for farmers in remote areas
