00:04it's just like a factory one after another you know i only heard that it was a nine week baby
00:13and i saw it on the screen and yeah i have this vision in my head still yeah anyway so
00:22it wasn't
00:24easy my name is marta soek i come from poland and six years ago i had abortion
00:42and slovakia i had to run from poland and do it because in poland it was illegal
01:03i knew i couldn't provide this kid anything like good start in life i didn't have enough money to
01:13sustain it after i had the abortion i i wrote the song as the voice of mother talking to the
01:27her child
01:44and being a musician and being able to create something that helps to
01:52deal with a lot of struggle emotions and a lot of background guilt
01:59my mom was really religious she was actually very into catholic church and all my family and
02:06you know the society and the abortion was like the the worst thing you can do like you go to
02:13hell
02:13basically when you do it we had the videos we had the videos i remember there was like they
02:18we were coming to our lessons and showing us videos with the abortions and kids fighting for their
02:23life with this you know metal tools grabbing their head and crushing this head so that's what that's
02:29what i had in my mind
02:52no one wants to hear the story of the mother no one cares like what are your struggles right who
02:58cares
02:58like you are pregnant you have to give birth right but what about my life what about my health what
03:04about
03:04my body what about my other kids what about this kid future right
03:16we gotta keep fighting we gotta keep speaking for each other because if we want
03:21we're gonna be gonna like the government's gonna decide for us about our lives
03:30you
