Un grupo de mujeres aymaras han escalado varias de las cumbres de más de 6.000 metros de altura en Bolivia. Su logro más grande ha sido conquistar Aconcagua, en Argentina, el pico más alto de América a una altitud de 6.962 metros. Las cholitas, como se les denomina a las mujeres mestizas en la región del altiplano boliviano, buscan reivindicar su identidad y fortaleza como mujeres escaladoras.
