Desde la madrugada del miércoles, 6 de noviembre, Trump se reivindicó la victoria y prometió “sanar” a Estados Unidos. "El éxito nos va a unir, y vamos a empezar poniendo a Estados Unidos en primer lugar. No los defraudaré”, proclamó el expresidente republicano a sus seguidores en West Palm Beach, Florida. Consiguió 277 votos electorales frente a los 224 de su rival, la vicepresidenta demócrata Kamala Harris.
