00:00I'm going to have words with you after this, Manu, because there's a great frustration
00:05that applies to every organized institution in this country, and Democrats are not immune
00:12from that.
00:14Dems like AOC are also bringing back a TDS oldie that Trump's a raging sexist who only
00:20fires women.
00:21Who do you think the next person Trump should fire should be?
00:24I mean, is he out of women?
00:26Because that seems to be his pattern right now.
00:28If you're a man in the Trump administration, it seems that they report misconduct.
00:33We know this president, he only fires women, so my guess is Tulsi Gabbard.
00:39All right, Charlie, you know what I always say?
00:41Best way to not fire a woman, not fire her.
00:44Is that...
00:45I guess that's technically, that is completely true.
00:49No, and I think that...
00:50I think Democrats absolutely will take the bait.
00:53It's amazing that they have not learned their lesson from the fake impeachments that backfired
00:58on them in the past.
01:00All of the pursuit of Donald Trump in the courts, all of it has backfired.
01:06But I do think...
01:08And it's an impossible year.
01:09If Democrats can't retake the House in this election, there's something way worse wrong
01:16with them.
01:17All of the wins are going in their favor.
01:21And I think that they won't be able to help themselves.
01:23And the reason they won't be able to help themselves is because their agenda, whatever
01:27their agenda is, and they're not very clear about it, is so deeply unpopular.
01:32The idea of open borders is not something that their own voters support.
01:36The idea that they're opposed to voter ID, that's something that even their own voters
01:41support.
01:42The idea that they're still promoting this Green News scam that costs money for everybody,
01:50that's not popular even among their voters, their regular voters.
01:53But...
01:54And so they can't really...
01:55I think they maybe have wised up and realized they can't go after those things.
01:57So they're going to go to the old saw of going after Donald Trump.
02:01And do you think that's smart politically, Jessica, to lead off with impeachment if you
02:06take the House?
02:08No.
02:09And I would say the vast majority of Democrats aren't talking about that.
02:12They're hammering what's going on with the economy specifically.
02:16And the Fox poll this week, it's the first time Democrats have led on the economy.
02:20It was plus four for them.
02:21That's a pretty big turnaround.
02:22You know, Donald Trump is minus 30 plus on cost of living and has taken his best issue,
02:29which was immigration, is about minus 10.
02:31So that's what Democrats are talking about.
02:34As for the favorability question, it was very cute and it was a nice, smiley moment for
02:39Leader Jeffries.
02:40But Democrats have actually closed the favorability gap with the GOP.
02:45And that's because we've gotten a little bit better, but also because the GOP has gotten
02:49that much worse.
02:51And that should be concerning for them going into this election.
02:54Obviously, the special elections, the off-year elections have been going in the Democrats'
02:59favor.
02:59And that is important.
03:00And in terms of what we stand for, there's this slogan going around that I'm a big fan
03:08of, strong floor, no ceiling.
03:11And strong floor, no ceiling.
03:12What?
03:13That's a good campaign slogan.
03:15So it's all about making sure that no one lives below the poverty line, right?
03:19That you have access to good health care, housing, education, that there is a safety
03:23net for you, but no ceiling.
03:24That you can make a lot of money.
03:26That you can move from the lower class to the middle class, middle class to the upper
03:29class.
03:29And that doesn't mean that the rich aren't going to pay their fair share.
03:33They do.
03:33They already do.
03:34Yeah, sure.
03:35They do.
03:36No, they absolutely do.
03:37They pay actually more.
03:38I get it.
03:39I mean, I don't know.
03:42I think the safety net's pretty good, Jessica, in this country.
03:45People are ripping it off left and right.
03:47Kennedy.
03:48We have the richest poor people in the world.
03:50That is an absolute fact.
03:52But also, this zero-sum idea has paralyzed Democrats.
03:58And the idea that you're going to demonize rich people and somehow make people's lives
04:03better and make things more affordable, it is disproven time and time again.
04:08And unfortunately, we're going to see that manifest right here in New York City.
04:12I think impeachment is stupid.
04:14I think, you know, I don't care if you're a Democrat or a Republican or if you're Angus
04:18King.
04:19Just run on ideas and get government out of the way.
04:22Because the state of high taxation and taking more by force and giving people so little in
04:30return is what is forcing these approval numbers into the gutter for both parties.
04:36I mean, having a 39 percent favorability for the GOP and a 36 percent for Democrats,
04:42like somehow that's something to throw a parade over, that means that a majority of people
04:46are completely underserved by this massive bloat that we are seeing from both sides.
04:53So, you know, the only silver lining in all of this is that Doge has gone federalist, meaning
04:59the states themselves are finding a way to combat fraud.
