00:17Today I go for my rights and for those that come, because I'm tired of the abuse, that they
00:22think that in the middle of a disease, people think that they can continue to pass on over
00:27me.
00:37The social penalization brings to the elimination of all those prejudices and those wrong beliefs
00:44that still impermanent on abortion. And to advance in the social penalization will allow
00:50us to have legitimacy in which the decisions of women, especially those who take in front
00:56of their own bodies and their own life projects, are not susceptible to be judged or judged
01:01as irresponsible.
01:14Well, we have to keep defending the winner, because despite that we have advanced in a
01:19historical failure, we have to keep doing that society eliminate the stigma and the disinformation
01:26that there is around this right and that, as well, we have to be blinded through all the
01:32legal and public policies, all this right and keep spreading information.
01:48We also need a despenalization social that involve society in a pedagogical way, because
01:54most of the barriers, at the end, are not only legal, but the implementation of this and
02:00the appropriation of society. So it is our biggest effort in this moment, that
02:05women can abort legally in Colombia.
02:18The abortion is important because it is basically a fundamental right, it is a right for
02:24women, and for the people who do not have the possibility of having a maternity leave.
02:35We work with women who are extremely vulnerable and, more than
02:39all, poor people in the local community.
02:41And our work is more to empower them and help them to achieve those methods and
02:49those ways to access the information and also to give them the orientation and the
02:54appropriate routes.
04:50aborto.
