00:00We are all devastated by the news that we have just heard from Balmoral.
00:05The death of Her Majesty the Queen is a huge shock to the nation and to the world.
00:12Queen Elizabeth II was the rock on which modern Britain was built.
00:18Our country has grown and flourished under her reign.
00:23Britain is the great country it is today because of her.
00:27She ascended the throne just after the Second World War.
00:32She championed the development of the Commonwealth from a small group of seven countries to a
00:37family of 56 nations spanning every continent of the world.
00:43We are now a modern, thriving, dynamic nation.
00:47Through thick and thin, Queen Elizabeth II provided us with the stability and the strength
00:53that we needed.
00:54She was the very spirit of Great Britain and that spirit will endure.
01:01She has been our longest ever reigning monarch.
01:05It's an extraordinary achievement to have presided with such dignity and grace for 70 years.
01:12Her life of service stretched beyond most of our living memories.
01:17In return, she was loved and admired by the people in the United Kingdom and all around the world.
01:25She has been a personal inspiration to me and to many Britons.
01:30Her devotion to duty is an example to us all.
01:35Earlier this week, at 96, she remained determined to carry out her duties as she appointed me as her 15th
01:44Prime Minister.
01:45Throughout her life, she has visited more than 100 countries and she has touched the lives of millions around the
01:51world.
01:53In the difficult days ahead, we will come together with our friends across the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and the
02:01world to celebrate her extraordinary lifetime of service.
02:06It is a day of great loss, but Queen Elizabeth II leaves a great legacy.
02:13Today, the crown passes, as it has done for more than a thousand years, to our new monarch, our new
02:21head of state, His Majesty, King Charles III.
02:26With the King's family, we mourn the loss of his mother.
02:30And as we mourn, we must come together as a people to support him, to help him bear the awesome
02:37responsibility that he now carries for us all.
02:41We offer him our loyalty and devotion, just as his mother devoted so much to so many for so long.
02:51And with the passing of the Second Elizabethan Age, we usher in a new era in the magnificent history of
02:58our great country, exactly as Her Majesty would have wished, by saying the words, God save the King.
03:15God save the King.
03:16God save the King.
03:18God save the King.
03:21God save the King.
03:24God save the King.
03:25God save the King.
03:26God save the King.
03:26God save the King.
03:27God save the King.
03:28God save the King.
03:29God save the King.
03:30God save the King.
03:30God save the King.
03:31God save the King.
03:31God save the King.
03:31God save the King.
03:32God save the King.
03:32God save the King.
03:33God save the King.
03:36God save the King.
