00:23I'm not going to talk about basketball.
00:25Nothing's happened with our team in the last six hours.
00:30We're going to start the same way tonight.
00:32Any basketball questions don't matter.
00:36Since we left shoot-around, 14 children were killed 400 miles from here and a teacher.
00:46And in the last 10 days, we've had elderly black people killed in a supermarket in Buffalo.
00:52We've had Asian churchgoers killed in Southern California.
00:57And now we have children murdered at school.
01:03When are we going to do something?
01:08I'm tired.
01:09I'm so tired of getting up here and offering condolences to the devastated families that are out there.
01:17I'm so tired of the, excuse me, I'm sorry.
01:20I'm tired of the moments of silence.
01:23Enough.
01:25There's 50 senators right now who refuse to vote on H.R. 8, which is a background check rule that
01:33the House passed a couple years ago.
01:34It's been sitting there for two years.
01:36And there's a reason they won't vote on it, to hold on to power.
01:40So I ask you, Mitch McConnell, I ask all of you senators who refuse to do anything about the violence
01:47and school shootings and supermarket shootings, I ask you,
01:50are you going to put your own desire for power ahead of the lives of our children and our elderly
01:58and our churchgoers?
02:00Because that's what it looks like.
02:03It's what we do every week.
02:08So I'm fed up.
02:10I've had enough.
02:11We're going to play the game tonight, but I want every person here, every person listening to this, to think
02:17about your own child or grandchild or mother or father or sister or brother.
02:22How would you feel if this happened to you today?
02:25We can't get numb to this.
02:27We can't sit here and just read about it and go, well, let's have a moment of silence.
02:32Yeah, go Dubs.
02:33You know, come on Mavs, let's go.
02:36That's what we're going to do.
02:38We're going to go play a basketball game.
02:40And 50 senators in Washington are going to hold us hostage.
02:44Do you realize that 90% of Americans, regardless of political party, want background check, universal background check?
02:5290% of us, we are being held hostage by 50 senators in Washington who refuse to even put it
02:59to a vote, despite what we, the American people, want.
03:04They won't vote on it because they want to hold on to their own power.
03:07It's pathetic.
03:09I've had enough.
03:11I've had enough of people.
03:12I know there's a lot of сейчас.
03:12I don't know.
03:33Amen.
