Cuando las tropas rusas invadieron Ucrania, los ciudadanos en Rusia que se oponen a Putin y a la guerra se unieron a las protestas de rechazo en todo el mundo. Sin embargo, no era muy claro en medio de las marchas que ellos fuesen rusos en contra del ataque. Así fue como nació la idea de una bandera rusa de la paz.
