00:00Lionsgate's Michael Jackson biopic can officially say beat it to all other biopics after a huge, record-breaking box office
00:08draw this weekend.
00:09It brought home over $200 million, cementing it as the biggest box office opening for any biopic, musical or otherwise.
00:18So that means it beat out Oppenheimer, it beat out Straight Outta Compton, it beat out Bohemian Rhapsody.
00:23So this is a film that has legs.
00:25And because of that, when I chatted with Lionsgate motion picture chief Adam Fogelson over the weekend, he told me
00:31that we might be getting a sequel sooner than we might have even thought.
00:34He says that over 30% of the sequel is actually already filmed based on footage they had from the
00:40first one.
00:41And based on this massive fan demand, I think Lionsgate is going to be pretty invested in continuing the story
00:46of the King of Pop.
