00:04It's been a season from hell for Fiorentina, sinking to an all-time low.
00:10It took until December 21 to notch their first win in Serie A,
00:15failing to salute in any of their first 15 matches,
00:18culminating in their worst ever league start.
00:21With a dismal record of zero wins, six draws and nine losses,
00:26Laviola found themselves rock bottom of Serie A and in serious relegation danger.
00:33Compared to last season, when they were in second place after 15 games,
00:38they had a staggering 25 fewer points at the same stage in 2025-26.
00:44It was relegation form in anyone's language.
00:47They've sat in and around the bottom three since August,
00:50while simultaneously competing in the Conference League.
00:54It's been a welcome distraction for Fiorentina,
00:57who find themselves in the quarter-finals for a fourth consecutive season.
01:02But their main priority is to stay in Serie A,
01:05and they've managed to dig themselves out of trouble with an unbeaten run of four matches.
01:11Wins over Cremonese and Hellas Verona, combined with draws to Parma and league leaders Inter Milan,
01:16has eased the pressure valve for now.
01:22The results and the performances have helped us.
01:29We didn't forget how to win games.
01:35But these wins, these results and these performances give you the feeling you need.
01:44The 1-0 victory in Verona on Easter Sunday moved them up to 15th in the table.
01:49But with six games to play, they are not totally out of the woods just yet.
01:55It is important that we play with the right spirits and that we don't forget where we came from
02:00and what sacrifices we've made to be in a better place in the table than we were 10 or 15

02:09The last time Fiorentino fell through the trap door was back in 2002,
02:14where they bypassed Serie B and dropped to Serie C due to bankruptcy.
02:20When they sat rock bottom of Serie A after 15 matches,
02:23Laviola were eight points from safety and dreading another disastrous demotion to the second tier.
02:29But the tide has slowly turned in Florence, with a timely four-game unbeaten run
02:35steering the club away from relegation danger.
02:45Barcelona has it all to do when they go to Atletico Madrid.
02:49PSG will take a two-goal cushion to Liverpool.
02:52Arsenal has a narrow lead over Sporting CP,
02:55while there's a blockbuster second-leg tie between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
03:03In the last eight of the Europa League,
03:05Real Batiste battles Braga,
03:07Celta Vigo takes on Freiburg,
03:09Nottingham Forest welcomes Porto to the city ground,
03:12while Aston Villa has a date with Bologna.
