10:29total energy team looks like he's just in slightly better shape and somewhat surprisingly than jordan
10:35jagat who's maybe just waiting for the the stage races later in the summer to really find his
10:41his top form but top form being displayed here by evan sosa as he charges along and
10:48well his shoulders are rocking but at the moment plenty of power going into those pedals
10:53yeah and he's opened up the gap nicely to 14 seconds with just under 3k to go so it's looking
11:00like he'll be able to hold this to the line if he can keep up the pace he's on he
11:04he looks like
11:05he's head and shoulders above the rest and really really looking like a powerful strong contender to
11:11take the win here today jagat it looked as if he was also trying to rejoin that group of riders
11:17contesting for second on the hill at the moment and it's all about evan sosa his face well contorted
11:25in pain this is a full-out effort from the colombian rider into relive old glories a string of stage
11:31race successes of course towards the end of the last decade and into the current one meanwhile
11:37camille bonu as well there's an eye-catching performance from the belgian rider and he's
11:41well well but hanging on in there at 15 seconds but the well the time gap suggesting that it's
11:49it's going in the wrong direction for him at the moment now what sort of response have we got from
11:53the astana squad multiple uh riders available for them uh scalco looking good as indeed is monoprahan
12:03yeah but i don't know if it's going to be a match for evan sosa who
12:07looks to be just really in the zone today and using every inch of road using all of those hair
12:12pins his advantage staying clear of any of the melting tarmac because the heat out there is immense
12:17today and i think he's really in his element the colombian climber totally in the zone isn't he a
12:23picture of uh contorted pain but also focus and concentration for evan sosa as we get a little look
12:30behind at the that attack just coming inside the five kilometers to go mark and just after well just
12:35coming on about the halfway point of this uh challenging climb and one of these steeper
12:40sections nothing uh that uh bono could do neither in turn could briar manage to stay with him
12:51those and are falling further back two and a bit to go another three seconds added to the advantage of
12:57the colombian and we just wait to see what kind of reaction there will be from behind because
13:03camille bono seems to have fallen back a bit but we can see riders here from the the second chasing
13:09group at the road uh led by a rider from caille rural which he seems to be thinning out that
13:16group and
13:17really putting putting the the hurt on the other riders yeah they had para for a while doing quite well
13:23jose felix para their spanish climber but i wonder if that isn't sebastian berwick that's decided now is the
13:29time to launch his bid for glory inside now two kilometers from the line and still floundering
13:35and trying to hang on in there and produce something a little bit special as alessandro
13:39funcello from the mbh bank squad now taking up the the uh the chase and the increasingly forlorn
13:48looking pursuit of our lone leader out front briar bonu and funcello it is uh in front of these riders
13:55so
13:56they are uh fourth third and second on the road respectively if you will now we have this push on
14:03from mulebrahan with jordan jagat trying to get up with those riders contesting for second
14:10mulebrahan from the astana squad jordan jagat has a race victory already this year and one of those
14:16rolling choppy challenging french one-day races with that uh 10th overall in the grand boucle is uh home grand
14:24tour in france last year as we see that fancello has opened up a little bit of daylight on uh
14:31camille
14:32bono and brouillard and right behind them you could just see the carrie rail rider closing in on them
14:38which might have been sebastian berwick so interesting to see um where he's come from kind of seems like
14:47he's come from nowhere but he's really been putting in a huge effort to try and close into this group
14:51fancelo still riding ahead though with a bit of a gap on them well he's come from brisbane in australia
14:58but he's come from nowhere on this hill it has to be said because we haven't seen him all day
15:01so sebastian berwick that is an interesting uh arrival towards the front down fancelo though still in
15:09second position but leaking more time 1500 meters remaining and the gap out to 25 seconds still 24
15:15water in seconds it's going in the right direction for our stage leader ivan sosa yeah he's looking
15:22like he's really on a roll today i think it's going to be hard to catch him back his his
15:27rhythm on the
15:28bike it's really steady and so it will be interesting to see if the if these guys can make any
15:34dent in his
15:35time gap his shoulders are rocking but his legs are really pushing every ounce of power down through the
15:40pedals the rhythm looks good for ivan ramirez sosa former movistar world tour pro now in his second
15:48season with the equipo karen farma fancelo well he's on a tiny gear ratio but maintaining a high
15:55cadence albeit uh rocking along out of the saddle in the saddle anxious look over his shoulder another few
16:02seconds uh leaked as uh as you got now not able to follow mula brahan these riders inside the top
16:1010
16:10but outside you would think any position that might be able to challenge for the stage
16:19jagat anxious look over his shoulders there anyone coming up that can assist him
16:22trying to overhaul mula brahan and the rest of the riders on this hill so not too far from the
16:27kite
16:281200 meters remaining for sosa doesn't seem like a lot uh but his advantage still going up he'll want to
16:33take every possible second that he can get because there's another summit finish coming up on stage six
16:39two big gc appointments it is indeed berwick now just as overhauled bonu has overhauled briar but
16:46now about to come on to the tail of fancelo fancelo is peddling squares here yeah it's really been a
16:53full
16:53gas effort from from all of these riders particularly sosa and then for berwick to come out of nowhere and
16:59really close that gap in when we thought he'd been a bit of a goner and now he he seems
17:05to be closing this
17:06gap or or attempting to close this gap into ivan sosa who it will be hard to beat him on
17:13a day like
17:13today i think he's looking good isn't he inside a thousand meters remaining now for ivan ramirez
17:18so selling for a first victory since october 2022 and for the data what's the news for sebastian berwick
17:26has the uh the power number is just what he would hope they would be coming detached here camille bonu
17:34his contribution or his uh his push for glory coming a little bit further down the hill and now
17:39starting to feel the pinch a little bit but still what a thousand meters remaining for him 200 meters
17:44further up the road is the stage leader and berwick is now continuing to put uh briar on the rest
17:51under
17:51increasing pressure it's a really impressive effort here from the australian rider yeah out of the
17:57saddle and he's giving everything he's got i don't know if he he'll want to look at his data he
18:01just
18:01wants to stay in the zone and and empty himself to the line really and it will just remain to
18:06be seen
18:07whether 700 meters is enough to take it from sosa yeah full focus effort here from sebastian berwick
18:13in an extended period out of the saddle impressive core strength impressive ability impressive
18:18uh um oxygen capacity as well displayed by both the riders in the first two positions gap coming
18:25down for the first time still a handy 25 second lead with uh 400 meters remaining 400 meters doesn't
18:32sound like a lot but these are some of the steepest meters that these riders have faced all day
18:36yeah and i think it's uh really starting to build that that nine kilometer over nine percent effort is
18:44really starting to take its toll on the riders so i'm sure they'll be willing that 400 meters to
18:49go down as quickly as possible so you can see here berwick is that really 22 seconds because sebastian
18:55berwick is now uh well within sight of avon ramirez sosa has the considerable carrot sosa will get
19:03the news that the carroll man is breathing down his neck and 500 to go for uh for berwick well
19:11uh
19:11do we did indicate or did understand that he was a little bit closer to the line so further out
19:15it
19:15was for sosa longer reach and he is gonna have to try and survive these final well it is now
19:21400
19:22meters for him and berwick is uh breathing down his neck he's coming with a late charge and that gap
19:27i think is already less than 22 seconds yeah even looking at here from above you can see that uh
19:33berwick's
19:33speed looks to be higher than sosa so it it will be really a demanding of sosa he'll have to
19:40give
19:40everything he's got now to bring this to the line well out of the saddle now for sebastian berwick
19:45there's no uh consulting the the dash and trying to get data there's absolutely nothing that can
19:50be done but except an all-out sprint for glory is there any chance that he could possibly overhaul
19:55even sosa sosa his measured effort uh he's been clear of the rest for more than five kilometers at
20:01this point and now just the final couple of bends that are going to take him to glory a first
20:06uh victory
20:07in international pro cycling for four seasons berwick is within sight through the final bend too but
20:14it's uh even sosa that's going to come to the line and take the glory he takes victory on stage
20:21three
20:21of the presidential cycling tour of turkey as the clock starts to count down and it's just a handful
20:27of seconds in hand over sebastian berwick and here coming in third we've got nicolab we are from total
20:36energy uh who was the rider from their their team after they gave everything on the opening part of
20:43this climb he was the rider who was able to deliver that final podium spot had dipped for fanchetto as
20:49well he's absolutely exhausted so too is camille bonner and all the riders coming up in ones and twos
20:54and in six and sevens you might say uh it looks like nikolai vinikurov has emerged as the best of
21:02the
21:02astana riders his face tells a story a long painful day in the saddle but a productive one
21:10in the astana squad well three riders in succession inside the top ten jacques also there thereabouts
21:22all these riders in the results but also ran compared to ivan ramiro sosa
21:40well a well-earned uh drink and the rehydration required now with
21:46two transition stages ahead of the next big appointment for him coming up on stage six
21:53yeah an amazing result for the colombian climber you can see he's really emptied himself and
21:57teammates coming over to congratulate him now it's a massive result for the current pharma team
22:01and this is the moment that he he established that that solo break yeah to remind ourselves of
22:08what was the launch of the winning effort uh even so as he relives old glories comes back into the
22:17winner's circle surprising maybe even himself huge result for the team as well losing their title sponsor
22:26this year so it'll be a massive boost to them that they got the win today on this amazing epic
22:32climb
22:35so keep a care farmer now uh taking the stage victory courtesy of ivan or ramiro sosa and into
22:41the overall lead as well 13 second advantage over uh sebastian berwick heading to stage four
22:46nikola burriar for took down energy squad within 21 seconds of the race lead and into overall contention
22:52pancelo bono vinokurov mula brahan and the rest also with hopes of glory on stage six
23:02sosa with that lead of 13 seconds and well what can possibly unfold in the days to come
23:11for sosa i think uh probably well no doubt delighted with that i wonder was it one that he was
23:17expecting
23:20four years after the last victory in the tour of lankawi the last year the operation of the
23:26lightning anyone cómo te sientes de nuevo hola no creo que muy contento muy feliz porque creo que ha pasado
23:35pues no汽é muy mal donde no sabía qué pasaba y bueno el año pasado pudimos darle
