00:00I really enjoy his Super 1. I like to kind of say it along with the character.
00:03Just sit your ass down.
00:09Titan's a really interesting character because he's a classic invincible villain, but he's not really bad.
00:16Yes, he's been petty criminal. Yes, he's, I guess, running a crime empire.
00:21But he is sort of doing it for not horrible reasons.
00:25Titan's doing this for the people that he wants to protect, and that's his family.
00:29He's very intimidating, and he's sort of a badass, but he's got a code.
00:34We have simpler environments like Kinetic Chamber, for example, and then we have the fully destructible ones, which is Titan's
00:41Penthouse.
00:42Titan's Penthouse is one of the few arenas that we wanted from day one.
00:45It starts off one way, and then by the end of the match, it's unrecognizable, and I think that's very
00:51invincible.
00:54I love Titan because he gets into your face, and he's got armor. He's naturally armored.
00:59When you first pop his Super 2, you know, he rocks up.
01:03When that happens, he's at like, I believe it's like 90% damage reduction, you know, on his moves with
01:08Super Armor.
01:09But each time he takes a hit, it gets reduced to the point where I think when he's down at
01:14like one hit left, I think it's like 15%, you know, of damage reduction.
01:18With the cost of one Super Meter, my armor back up.
01:20I can also cancel with a heavy to cause a hard knockdown.
01:23So you start off in the rock form.
01:25Most of his specials have armor in this rock form, which is pretty dope.
01:28One of the biggest things I like to test people with, with this character, is seeing how often they want
01:34to just apply pressure without any real thought to it.
01:36You could blow that up completely.
01:37He is a bully.
01:39You know, he's a very big heavy hitter.
01:40He doesn't have the best mobility in the game, but he does have good range of his normals.
01:44He also has a projectile.
01:46He can just kind of reach into the ground and pull out stones and chuck them at you, which I
01:49think is pretty dope.
01:49And the boosted version of it, he can actually hit.
01:51So you can actually hit this into different directions.
01:53That's pretty fun as well.
01:55He's got like a tackle, which can go right back into the combo system.
01:59He's just got some really fun shit.
02:00You wouldn't expect the big slow fella with armor to have any sort of mix, but he does.
02:06Down schedule.
02:07Not only does it have armor, it also acts as an overhead.
02:10It also causes a ground bounce that allows you to do whatever you want and get a ton of damage
02:16or an ender.
02:17Whatever you want.
02:18Some of the higher level, like really, really trolley level play that you've been seeing recently is they'll just wait.
02:24You know, and they'll wait for you to do anything.
02:27And they're like, armor.
02:28You know, like, I win.
02:30That kind of has led to a lot of discussions on how we challenge, you know, armored moves.
02:37This is what we believe we're going to ship with.
02:38And obviously meta changes over time.
02:40But right now, boosted moves can armor break.
02:43And so we like that exchange.
02:45There's risk, there's reward, depending on the decisions that you make.
02:48We always want you paying attention.
02:51I wouldn't mind tuning him up with Mark.
02:53You get to be such a battery with Mark, which really sets up Titan for successes the same way he
02:58did in the show.
02:58As far as what kind of assists you want to run with them, the main thing is really going to
03:02be this down special for the overhead.
03:04But a lot of his specials are also pretty punishable, too.
03:07So you want to have assists that will cover you when you're trying to hit this overhead, basically.
03:11I like playing with, like, Omni-Man or Battle Beast.
03:13I like bullying people with that team.
03:16Or even pairing him up with, like, Lucan and Monster Girl.
03:19But he's got so much utility.
03:21Like, he can actually play a pretty decent keep-away game where you can get people trying to, you know,
03:26come in.
03:27And you're just like, no, not today.
03:29It's, like, one of my favorite things is kicking someone in the face with a fucking boot.
03:32Look at that.
