Almost thirty musicians are preparing events across Walsall to support the town’s grassroots music scene. Organisers say venue closures, the pandemic and cost of living pressures have made local music harder to sustain.

00:32The group says it wants to rebuild a community around live music and make clear there is space
00:38for musicians and music fans alike across the town throughout May as the programme grows.
