00:03We are here at our training facilities because we have partnered up with Guide Dogs
00:08to be able to train us to support our customers with vision impairment.
00:12So we've got lots of training to do and I'm super excited, I can't wait.
00:16Everyone should be able to have the best experience with us when they travel.
00:20So if we can support our customers, then I think it'll be an amazing day
00:24and something that we can take into our everyday life as well.
00:27The partnership between Guide Dogs and Virgin Atlantic ensures that
00:31Virgin Atlantic staff get the appropriate training they need
00:35to support mind and partially sighted people.
00:37It's really important for me that all my customers have an amazing experience
00:41because we are on a mission to become the most loved travel company.
00:44We can only do that by ensuring that all of our customers,
00:47regardless of their backgrounds and their personal circumstances,
00:49leave us having lifelong lasting memories.
00:52I felt like I'd already had the skills to be able to support and help people
00:56but doing the training today has given me little tips that I can really use,
01:00like using my guiding arm to be able to show them on the tray table
01:03exactly where the drink is.
01:05So it's little things like that can really enhance the knowledge and skills
01:08that I already had.
01:09They'll be trained in meeting and greeting, guiding people onto the aircraft,
01:15making sure that the person's comfortable in their seat
01:17and has got all the requisite information they need,
01:20including supporting visually impaired people with a guide dog.
01:23We've met so many inspirational people and some really gorgeous dogs
01:28who are so clever as well.
01:29And I can't wait to just put that into practice.
01:32I love that I can help and make travel more accessible and inclusive for everybody.
01:37When it comes to inclusivity and travel, this is just the beginning.
