00:00Well Salone and Milan actually is a global stage you know there's a lot of
00:06designers here and we inspire people we try to inspire people and we are inspired
00:11so very important for me to be here I think it's a brand that fits perfectly
00:16to Italy this car this edition this collaboration fits perfectly to Italy so
00:21I'm very happy to be here at Palazzo Borromeo Dada at the Salone this is a
00:28very exciting week for us at MINI well this collaboration with Paul is really
00:33the largest product range we have done on a production car so far and it spans our
00:40entire portfolio it is the three door the five door it is the electric version of
00:46the MINI the combustion engine as well as the convertible which you see right
00:51behind me here so you wonder why we call this exhibition this year the garden of
00:56curiosity because you enter the space the Palazzo through the courtyard and in
01:01the courtyard we have three cars first of all there are two previous
01:05collaborations with Paul one is the stripe from 1999 and the second one is the
01:10mini strip from 2021 which was all about sustainability and stripping down a
01:17Cooper to its essence and the third car in the front is actually part of this new
01:22collaboration in midnight black with a black roof and signature striping very
01:27very beautiful sophisticated and subtle design and then you come to this
01:32wonderful backyard through a red door the mystical red door which was used
01:38previously in this campaign and you enter this beautiful serene quiet space in
01:44the middle of a bustling city in Milan and it allows you to have some quiet time
01:50some atmospheric time some conversations with other designers with people you meet
01:55here we have built in little nooks for relaxing for having a nice coffee and
02:03there's three exhibits here in the back one is the listening room where you can
02:08listen to Paul's original voice we recorded his voice giving you some deep
02:13insights into this collaboration the design thinking and his philosophy and then we
02:18have a color room over there which features all of his signature colors that make
02:23up his signature stripe so the stripe he's using on a lot of his apparel and there
02:30you can explore and especially the visitors this week can play with colors in this
02:34room tack them to the wall and and see kind of how colors react with one another and
02:41last but not least we have another car here from this latest edition which is the
02:46convertible in inspired white with the typical design details in Nottingham green
02:51and again a lovely option that is part of this collaboration so please enjoy the
02:58space this week the weather plays nicely and it really turned out very lovely thank you
