The Astra developers have also refined and further optimized the interior design. The improvements range from the cockpit and display design to enhanced travel comfort with a relaxing feel-good factor. Astra drivers can enjoy increased seating comfort in every model variant, thanks to the standard Intelli Seats. These seats feature a special indentation running through the center of the seat cushion, which reduces pressure on the tailbone. This patented Intelli Seat ergonomic feature ensures relaxed driving comfort, even on long journeys. From the GS version upwards, the driver's seat also carries the AGR seal of approval (Campaign for Healthy Backs), and in the optional ReNewKnit™ variant, both the driver and front passenger seats are AGR-certified.
At the same time, the cockpit and the user interfaces of the multimedia infotainment system and other features have been made even clearer, more user-friendly, and more intuitive. New visualizations and graphics on the screens create a contemporary, modern look. In keeping with practicality, the driver can now read them even better than before. And in line with Opel's "Greenovation" approach, numerous resource-saving materials and surface structures are used in the Astra's interior, such as the steering wheel covered entirely in vegan fabrics or the monomaterial ReNewKnit™ with a high-quality suede look.
