05:02The old Glen Bula Schoolhouse in Glen Bula, Wisconsin operated from 1916 to 1995
05:11before going abandoned for nearly three decades.
05:14And the school got a real reputation for being haunted.
05:18People would report hearing children laughing and giggling and running up and down the hallways.
05:27The story goes that in the early 1900s, there was a young boy who was being bullied.
05:33And because of his mistreatment, his mother, who practiced the magical arts, was said to put a curse,
05:43not only on the school, but on the entire village.
05:49Terrifying.
05:50Though Dylan and Ray's interpretation is slightly less threatening.
05:58I think it was the spirit of a child, just because of how playful it was.

06:04And maybe being drawn to just Ray and her hair and wanted to kind of say hello in its own

06:11You think of the energy of a school and you think of all the different kids and that energy, it's
06:17a playful energy.
06:18And I think that's what people have reported here, that there's been experiences and encounters and what some would refer
06:28to as being haunted.
06:29But it seems to be more of a positive, playful type of interaction that's happening.

11:21So something like this, where this creature was clearly looking to stay out of the way,
11:27I think lends itself toward an interpretation that we might be looking at some kind of cryptid here.

12:28And you can see what appears to be hair looking rather coarse to me.
12:35And it does seem to be shifting back and forth.
12:39Maybe it's shifting from the weight on its left and right feet.

12:47It's moving.
12:48It's rocking in such a way that it's almost trying to emulate a tree swaying back and forth.
12:54And this caught me right away because this is reported a lot.
12:57They don't really reveal themselves completely, but they seem to try to act or look like a tree or respond
13:04in some way to stand still.
13:07Maybe that shifting back and forth is a way of it doing a sort of a passive threat.
13:14Like, yeah, I'm here and I know you know I'm here. Now go away.
13:20It got to a point where once it started to sway, it was life or death in my mind what
13:25I was going to do.
13:26And I doubt, honestly, it would have charged, but I don't know.
13:30So I felt like I've got to do something because I've got a wife and kids. I've got to move.
13:36Which is exactly what Brett does. Immediately.
13:41I took off. Not on a run, but I started walking pretty quick until I got away from it.
13:48But incredibly, despite the apparent close call, Brett feels compelled to return again someday to hopefully find out more.

17:26So I zoomed in closely and played the video back.
17:29And then when she's seen it as well, she's like, wait, Ayanna, that's Chino.

17:38Then we start seeing the tail.
17:40We start seeing the fluff.
17:42I'm like, wait a minute.
17:44That's my baby.

17:49As indeed, the tiny piece of fluff bears a striking resemblance
17:55to a little dog running.
18:01Specifically, Chino, their Pomeranian, who passed away only months earlier.
18:08Oh, my goodness.
18:10It was amazing.
18:12Just to know he's still there.
18:16My first thought at the start of this was like, is it that like tiny speck of dust that's floating
18:22through the air?
18:23Is that what I'm looking at here in this video clip?
18:25But then, oh, my goodness, what looks to be like a speck of dust floating on a consistent trajectory through
18:34the air makes a sharp, acute turn.
18:37And then it looks like a frisky little dog running in the opposite direction, sort of in a straight line
18:47until it disappears out of frame.
18:49And I ended up kind of going, yeah, it looked like a tiny little ghost Pomeranian.
18:59What's compelling to me is it doesn't look like a traditional orb of dust or something that's just floating, right?
19:05Normally, those go along in an air current.
19:07They're slowly kind of moving or meandering, sometimes quickly going by if it were sort of an insect close to
19:15the camera.
19:16But this particular one looks like it comes down at an angle.
19:20And then it does seem as if it has a life and shape of its own, like it scurries across
19:27the frame.
19:27And that small detail is particularly meaningful to the family, considering Chino's condition toward the end of his life.
19:37Chino loved to run. And we had like a grassy hill and he would just run like he would just
19:44love to run.
19:45But he had that heart murmur and he used to get tired really quick.
19:50And it used to hurt our heart. I'm like, come on, Chino.
19:52He's like, like, I take him to the park. He runs a little bit, but he wasn't able to be
19:57out for so long.
19:59So it was a great feeling. You could clearly see his tail and his feet. And I said, he's running.
20:06He's able to freely run without having to stop for breath or anything like that.
20:14It looked like the tail was wagging. It looked like if that was a puppy, they were very, very happy.
20:21So when you think about it that way, it's just it's really beautiful.
20:26But beautiful as it might be. Why so tiny?
20:31When we think of another world, whether that's the afterlife or some other dimension that we exist alongside, we tend
20:40to think of it as in relative scale to our own existence.
20:44I do not think it is a prerequisite of an actual apparition or manifestation that it match its size as
20:55it had been in our living world.
20:57If a spirit of a small dog coming back absolutely miniaturized, but so recognizably familiar in its shape and its
21:09movement, if that's the way that that dog is able to manifest, great.
21:14And while the package may have been small, the message it contained couldn't have been more impactful.
21:23I feel grateful that he chose to show that he's OK, that he loved us, you know, and to come
21:35share that moment, to come back and visit.
21:38A visit that has changed Ayana and Nicole forever.
21:44I do believe, you know, once we pass on, you're still here with us in spirit.

23:36When they get a notification that something has set off the motion detector on their live security camera in their
23:42living room.
23:45And when they check out the feed, they see this.

23:55In the reflection of the TV, a figure, tall, dark, and appearing to stroll through the living room.

24:24My husband was like, whoa, that was kind of creepy.
24:27Like, hold on.
24:30Let me look at that again.
24:31Like, maybe that was a glitch.
24:32I'm like, wait, no.
24:34There's no glitch that looks like that.

24:36It was wearing a hat.
24:38It was actually, like, taller than the window in my house.
24:42And the ceilings were, like, 12, 13 feet tall.
24:45So being taller than the window was at least six, seven foot tall in itself.
24:51Even more confounding, from what Naomi and her husband know about their home and camera setup,
24:58what they are seeing simply isn't possible.
25:03The way that the camera was angled, it was angled at my front door.
25:06So if someone were to walk in my house, I would catch them walking in my house.
25:11Just like anybody who's walking through the house, they will be visible in the reflection,
25:16and they will be visible in the camera walking past the TV.
25:22If it was a real person, you would have seen them standing there in the camera's view, too.
25:27So then, if not a real person, then what exactly is it?
25:36It's completely featureless.
25:38It's almost as if we're looking at its back.
25:41It seems to be a tall man standing there in a black cloak or robe,
25:47wearing some kind of a hat or helmet.
25:56When they get to the edge of the frame, it looks like they just sort of dissolve.
26:00I know that we're looking kind of at a reflection off of a TV set,
26:04but even a solid, you know, living, breathing person should be solid
26:09until they kind of reach the edge where they walk off the frame,
26:12and that's not the case here.

26:24with comments from people claiming to recognize the figure
26:29from their own nightmares.
26:35The Hat Man.
26:38The Hat Man is sort of a digital folklore phenomenon,
26:42something that people started reporting and talking about
26:45in a lot of online forums in sort of the mid to late 2000s.
26:50This figure of a man, ostensibly,
26:54in what appears to be some sort of trench coat wearing a wide-brimmed hat.
27:00A lot of people started sharing their experiences with this character,
27:05and it created a mass hysteria event
27:07that now when people go to sleep,
27:10they're scared of coming across this shadow figure of the Hat Man.
27:15And that fear from millions of users online reading these stories
27:21has now snowballed into what we call in the paranormal field an egregore.
27:27This very real energy in the likeness of their fear.
27:32I started looking into the lore of the Hat Man,
27:35and it kind of adds up with what's going on in my life
27:39with the lore of, you know, how he follows people
27:41who are going through, like, really hard times mentally.
27:45And having no interest in something like this adding to her stress,
27:49Naomi does whatever she can to protect herself and her family.
27:54I researched some cleansing prayers,
27:57and I just started shouting them through my house.
28:04I don't know if it helped.
28:06Obviously the activity is still here, but in that moment it calmed down,
28:10and it got quiet, and it felt better for me.

28:14And I've got a lot of faith,
28:15so that's mainly what I've been relying on lately.

28:26I was always a believer, but to know that there's really that other realm
28:32where the spirit world is and, you know, they're walking around with us,

31:02And then it looks like a tall man that is looking at us,

31:10from what I've seen in other clips, it's like the black shadow figure people.

31:16All of a sudden, we see this head pop up.
31:20But it's not a head with a face.
31:22It's very dark and featureless.
31:25Like a, just a dark, dark shadow.
31:28And it appears to be peering directly through the glass at the woman filming the video.
31:34It seems to follow that same pattern,
31:38where you are capturing a glimpse of this shadow person.
31:42It doesn't seem to want to interact with you,
31:45but it seems to be as curious in you as you to it or him or her.
31:52Shadow people show up, I mean, literally, in all shapes and forms.
31:55I have seen legitimate photographs of them just being blobs.
31:59I have seen shadow people with the naked eye, and they look more humanoid.
32:03Sometimes they're transparent.
32:05Sometimes it looks like they're, I mean, thick like a blanket.
32:09Like, there's, you can't see through them at all.
32:11Sometimes they are stationary.
32:13Sometimes they peek in and out.
32:15It looked like he was watching us for a minute.
32:18It looked like he stopped to look in the window or whatever,
32:20and then he just vanished.
32:22I was like, oh, my God.
32:24Because I would have probably left the hotel if I would have seen it.
32:26I would have tried to chase after it.
32:28Yeah, he would, I would have been done.
32:31But if Chris had chased after it,
32:34considering the history of the hotel,
32:37he may have soon found himself
32:41surrounded by other entities.
32:45The Congress Hotel opened in 1893 as part of the World Columbian Expo in Chicago.
32:53And it is noteworthy for hosting multiple presidents, but also a lot of ghosts.
33:03There have been several documented deaths in the history, some of them quite violent and even gruesome.
33:10A little boy died here.
33:13Suicides, several of them have occurred here.
33:16I know people who have gone and investigated the Congress Hotel, and even people who have just stayed there because
33:21they're interested in the history of it.
33:24And they all had very similar accounts of saying that that hotel made them feel darkness.
33:31The hotel has a lot of dramatic and traumatic history, so we just wandered the hotel.
33:37And they allow you to do that there.
33:39And at this particular time, there weren't many other guests to get in the way.
33:46It was in March of 2021, right after the stores started opening up from the COVID pandemic.
33:52When we got there, the half of the hotel was shut down, and that floor was actually one of the
33:57ones that was closed off, so there was nobody even on that floor.
34:01It's really interesting to me to think that in that sort of quiet quarantine period, spirit presences, various entities that
34:11are sometimes normally maybe kept at the margins of spaces are ready to take over, roaming the halls.
34:18This is my hotel now.
34:21And then as people start to trickle back, the idea that encounters might go up as, you know, the normal
34:31order reasserts itself, I think that's really fascinating.
34:35Maybe the spirit wanted to just come out and kick it.
34:38You know, they were aware that, like, ain't nobody really in the hotel.

39:43disappearances
39:43of planes
39:45and boats.
39:46So it's considered
39:47to be one of these areas
39:48where there could
39:49very well be
39:50some sort of a portal
39:51or opening
39:52to another realm
39:53because people seem
39:55to vanish
39:55and never return.
39:59If that's the case
40:00perhaps Dana
40:02should count herself lucky.
40:05Now throughout history
40:07there have been
40:07plenty of tales
40:08of sea monsters
40:09and sirens
40:11things that waylay sailors
40:13that call them
40:14to their doom.
40:16Now could this
40:16light
40:17described as a disco ball
40:19be a
40:20modern evolution
40:22as bait
40:23for whoever
40:24could be seeing it
40:25today?
40:28If she had the means
40:29to hop in a boat
40:30and go check it out
40:31would she be now
40:33amongst the missing?
40:37Thankfully
40:38Dana is still
40:39very much with us
40:43but she does believe
40:45that one day
40:46she
40:47and all of us
40:48will know more.
40:51I think this experience
40:52just solidified the fact
40:54that I do believe
40:55that there's
40:56other life
40:57out there.
40:58There has to be
40:59we're just
41:00such a vast universe.
41:02It's just one more piece
41:04to the puzzle
41:05and maybe we'll find out

41:07and they'll actually
41:07come and visit us
41:08for real.
