01:04Thank you very much, everybody. Enjoy yourself.
01:06Welcome, everybody. Welcome, welcome, welcome
01:08to The Tonight Show. You're here.
01:11This is it. This is the show we're going to happen.
01:15Well, guys, according to reports,
01:17the Trump administration is close to a $500 million bailout
01:20to save Spirit Airlines.
01:23Yeah. The CEO of Spirit was like,
01:25with $500 million, our planes could have two wings again.
01:29Amazing.
01:31Yet without the bailout, Spirit Airlines was a few days away
01:35from becoming Spirit Halloween.
01:39If the bailout happens, the government will own 90% of Spirit.
01:42Ooh. Yeah.
01:44You'll know Trump owns Spirit Airlines
01:45when you could pay more for extra cankle room.
01:52You'll know Trump owns Spirit Airlines
01:54when they have a list of everyone who flew on the plane
01:56but won't release it.
02:03You know, there's one more. There's one more.
02:06You're going to like it. All right.
02:08You'll know Trump owns Spirit Airlines
02:09when it lands in the Middle East
02:11and doesn't have an exit strategy.
02:12There you go.
02:14That's how you do it. That's how you do it.
02:16That's how you do it.
02:17Come on. That's how you do it.
02:18That's your response. Come on.
02:19That's how you do it.
02:22Well, get this. I saw that Trump's approval rating
02:24just hit a new low of 32%.
02:27Trump was like, is it because?
02:29And everyone was like, yes.
02:31All of that, yeah.
02:34Yep, Trump's numbers are so down,
02:35he just asked Spirit Airlines for a bailout.
02:41Meanwhile, I read that Trump has made a naughty
02:43and nice list of NATO allies he wants to punish
02:45who refuse to support the Iran war.
02:48Yep, it'll backfire when Trump tells France,
02:50you're naughty, and they're like,
02:51oh, yes, we are naughty.
02:54Oh, punish us.
03:00Yeah, this weekend, by the way,
03:01is Melania Trump's birthday,
03:03and the president is excited to celebrate,
03:05but I thought this message he released was a bit odd.
03:07Take a look at this.
03:08This Saturday is my wife Melania's birthday,
03:11but since I have no gift ideas,
03:13just like the Iran ceasefire,
03:15I'm officially extending the deadline,
03:17and that's not all.
03:18I'm also extending the deadline for Mother's Day, a month.
03:21Also, I'm moving my birthday and Father's Day
03:24up to tomorrow, so buy me a gift, no combos.
03:27They call me President Jock Jams,
03:29because when it comes to deadlines,
03:31I like to move it, move it.
03:33Okay, solved it, bye.
03:39Move it.
03:39Move it. Wow.
03:41Wow.
03:42Well, guys, in the past two weeks,
03:44three members of Congress have resigned for misconduct.

03:52For instance, first, Congressman David Schweikert said,
03:54I'd pursue my dream job, Keebler Elf.

04:11Then Congressman Chuck Edwards said,
04:13No way, same here.
04:18Next, Congresswoman Harriet Hageman said,
04:21I'd audition to play a wacky professor
04:23in the new Harry Potter suit.
04:25Then Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro said,
04:27No way, same here.
04:30Next.
04:35Next, Congressman Pete Sessions said,
04:37I'd try to get cast in a Cialis commercial
04:39where I take a kayak out in the lake.
04:42And Congressman John Carter said,
04:44No way, same here.
04:46Next, Congresswoman Sherry Biggs said,
04:48Easy, I'd become the greatest injury attorney in 1985.
04:53Then Congresswoman Ann Wagner said,
04:55No way, same here.
04:57Next, Congressman Hal Rogers said,
04:59I'd play my favorite childhood game, hoop and stick.
05:03And Congressman Lloyd Doggett said,
05:05No way, same here.
05:06Next, Congressman Scott Desjarlais said,
05:09I'd throw on sunglasses and trick people
05:11into thinking I'm Pitbull.
05:13Then Congressman Keith Self said,
05:15No way, same here.
05:18This is what they would do if they didn't have a job.
05:21That's all they would do.
05:23Play stick, play hoop and stick.
05:24He would put on sunglasses and trick people
05:26into thinking he used to do it.
05:28That's his retirement plan.
05:29That's what his retirement plan would do.
05:30And the other guys as well.
05:32If he didn't have a job.
05:32Yeah.
05:33Yep.
05:34Next, Congressman Michael Guest said,

05:42Then Congressman Bill Keating said,
05:44No way, same here.
05:46And Congressman Pat Harrigan said,

05:50if they're finding everything all right,
05:51even though I don't work there.
05:53Then Congressman Michael Rooley said,
05:55No way, same here.
05:57And Congressman Trent Kelly said,
05:59I'd try Taco Bell's new Diablo nuggets
06:01and destroy the bathroom.
06:04And Congressman Chuck Fleishman said,
06:06No way, same here.
06:09And finally, Congressman Jim Barrett said,
06:11Way ahead of you guys.
06:13They're like, interesting plans.
06:14They all have interesting plans.
06:18It's interesting.
06:19I don't even know, yeah.
06:20I have to have plans.
06:23Well, some business news.
06:24Apple announced that after 15 years,
06:26Tim Cook is stepping down as CEO
06:28and will be replaced by John Ternus.
06:31It was easy to shut Cook down.
06:33They just pressed on both sides of his head
06:34at the same time.
06:39Yep, Cook will be replaced as CEO by John Ternus.
06:42And annoyingly, Ternus has a completely different charger.
06:48Come on.

09:40Her new movie, Apex, streams Friday on Netflix.
09:44Give it up for Charlize Theron!
09:47Yes, right!
09:49Oh, yeah.
09:50Come on, bud.
09:51All right, here's how the game works.
09:53Charlize and I will take turns facing our backs to the curtain.
09:56Behind the curtain will be something
09:57neither of us has seen before.
09:59Could be people, objects, anything.
10:01Once the curtain opens and you pick up your card,
10:04you'll have 45 seconds to try and get the other person
10:07to guess what's behind them.
10:08You can say anything you want. You can use gestures.
10:11You just can't say any of the words on your card.
10:14Okay? It's fun.
10:15Charlize, you'll be guessing first.
10:20Let's get into position.
10:21I have to guess first?
10:22Yes, you're a guess first. Here we go.
10:24Look at this. Look at this technology.
10:26Look at this technology.
10:28This cost...

11:03Now, she is a...
11:04She is a...
11:07It's a type of weapon that you would use to...
11:12A gun?
11:13Hit something.
11:13No, but more with an arrow.
11:15A bow?
11:15With an arrow.
11:16A bow?
11:17Yes.
11:17A bow and arrow?
11:18Yes, yes.
11:19And there's a fruit on top of someone's head.
11:22Oh!
11:22Betsy Ross is shooting an apple with an arrow off somebody's head?
11:26Kind of.
11:27No, but the person she's hitting it off of apparently has a number one album.
11:32He's a big pop star.
11:33He was in a boy band called One Direction.
11:35Donny!

19:00Thanks for being here. We always talk about your kids.
19:02How are your kids doing?
19:03They're just like teenagers. How old are yours?
19:0512. 12 and 11. Not quite teenagers.
19:08Yeah, so 11 and 14.
19:09Oh, yeah. All right, we're in the same window.
19:11Real? Real?
19:13It's like the exorcism, yeah.
19:14No, stop!
19:17I'm just saying.
19:18Do they know how talented their mom is?
19:20Do they watch your movies?
19:22No! No, no.
19:23They don't watch your movies?
19:24They, I, no. I don't, I mean, I, maybe.
19:27I don't really ask, like, hey, have you seen,
19:29um, they, my, my 14-year-old came home
19:33the other day from school,
19:36and she's just like, she has this look on her face
19:38like she just smelled a fart at all times now.
19:40It's like the teenage thing.
19:41You know, like, everything's annoying.
19:42Yeah.
19:42And she's just like, she's like,
19:45what were you doing all day?
19:47It's like, I was working.
19:48She goes, what is your work?
19:52I said, I'm making movies.
19:53She's like, but you were just here all day?
19:56It's like, yeah.
19:57I was on the phone, and I had Zoom meetings.
19:59I'm going to the production office.
20:01She's like, I went to school all day.
20:06I did something.
20:07Yeah.
20:07You were on the phone.
20:09You were not making movies here in the house.
20:10Yeah.
20:11No, like, no idea.
20:12They think I'm in bed all day.
20:14It takes a lot of work to make these movies.
20:17Yes.
20:17And to be Charlize Theron.
20:19Come on, ladies and gentlemen.
20:20This is the one and only.
20:21Don't win Oscars.
20:23Don't give them away.
20:25It's like, neutralizes it.
20:27I get beat up by the 14-year-old,
20:28then I come here, and you guys are nice.
20:30Yeah, see, yeah, you get humbled.
20:33You know, we've known each other a long time.
20:3526 years ago, we first did SNL together.
20:38You were Marilyn Monroe.
20:39I was Joe DiMaggio.
20:41Do you remember?
20:42I do remember that so vividly and very fondly.
20:45You were so nice.
20:47Oh, really?
20:47Yeah, I was so nervous.
20:49I'm, like, actually not really good with that stuff,
20:51and you were so kind.
20:52I remember that I had to wear, like, platform shoes
20:54because you're so tall,
20:56and I had to be the same height.
20:59I remember...
20:59Your teeth kept falling out.
21:04I was wearing fake teeth.
21:06Yes.
21:06Oh, yes!
21:07My teeth kept falling out during my lines,
21:09and I was, like, trying to do my honor.
21:10Oh, my God, you kept, like, shoving it in your mouth.
21:14I could not keep it.
21:15I'm sorry about that.
21:16Oh, no, it was amazing.
21:19Yeah, we're doing hard work.
21:22Oh, yes, we were.
21:23Yes, yes.
21:23I want to talk about Apex.
21:25Congratulations on this.
21:26This is a thrilling, wild ride.
21:28It's a great movie.
21:29Super fun.
21:31Thrilling, scary.
21:33Yeah.
21:33How do we set up the movie and who you play?
21:36It is a thriller, action, psychological thriller.
21:41It's, you know, sitting on the edge of your seat,
21:44not being able to breathe for about an hour and 40,
21:47and it's a good time.
21:49I mean, seriously, here's a shot of you.
21:50This is a scene.
21:51You're rock climbing.
21:53You're a rock climber in this...
21:55Yeah, my character is a rock climber,
21:56and she goes into the Australian outback to kind of have a bit of a...
22:02But she's emotionally kind of torn,
22:04and so she has to kind of go and find herself again.
22:06Yeah.
22:06And she does with a serial killer.
22:08Yeah.
22:09By the way, he's fantastic.
22:11Oh, Taron Egerton.
22:12Taron Egerton is great in this.
22:14He's my buddy in this.
22:16Yeah.
22:16You shot on location in Australia.
22:18We did.
22:19It's gorgeous, huh?
22:20Oh, beautiful.
22:20Oh, my God.
22:21It's where you would imagine a serial killer would chase you.
22:24It's that gorgeous.
22:25It's that gorgeous?
22:26It would shock you.
22:27It's just so isolated.
22:29There's like, we had to hike an hour into location.
22:32Then we would shoot all day.
22:34I'd climb a whole mountain.
22:35Then we would hike all the way out again.
22:38Yeah, yeah, yeah.
22:39It's very far.
22:40But also, isn't there...
22:41I love Australia.
22:43I've never been, but I'm afraid,
22:44because I think there's like spiders and stuff.
22:46Yes.
22:47Oh.
22:47And sharks.
22:48Yes.
22:49Like in the swimming pool.
22:51They have them.
22:52In Australia, there's sharks in your pool.
22:54You've got to be careful.
22:56Getting your information mixed up.
22:58And snakes.
22:59Oh, my God.
22:59So many snakes.
23:01There are snakes, right?
23:01So many snakes.
23:02We have like 17 snake handlers at all times.
23:05You did?
23:06Yes.
23:06And then during the day,
23:07you could like walk by them
23:08and peek in the bag
23:09and see all the snakes they've been catching.
23:11It's right there where we're shooting.
23:12What did they do with the snakes in the bag?
23:14So they dumped them
23:15on another part of the wilderness.
23:18And then we ended up shooting
23:21in that part of the wilderness.
23:23Because nobody told the snake wrangler
23:25that we were going to shoot there.
23:27So they dumped like 400 snakes over there.
23:30And I had to do a running shot.
23:31And they made me go so far
23:33into like this big wide shot of me running.
23:35And everything goes quiet.
23:36Camera's about to roll.
23:37And I just hear...
23:40I know.
23:41Stop.
23:41I look back.
23:43But did you...
23:44What were you supposed to do?
23:45I did everything wrong.
23:47What are you supposed to do?
23:47You're supposed to just be very calm.
23:49Very still.
23:50Yes.
23:50I screamed so loud.
23:52I ran so fast.
23:54Yeah.
23:54You do the opposite
23:55of everything you're supposed to do.
23:56Everything.
23:57Well, they could have used that shot
23:58in the movie because, yeah.
24:00They were very concerned.
24:01Yes.
24:01You guys are going to love this.
24:02I want to show a clip.
24:03Here's Charlize Theron in Apex.
24:05Take a look.
24:05Oh, my God.
24:35Oh, my God.
25:05We'll be right back with more tonight, Joe, everybody.
25:07Stick around!
25:25Our next guest stars in an executive
25:27produces the series Boston Blue,
25:30which airs every Friday at 10 p.m. on CBS
25:32and streams on Paramount+.
25:34Please welcome Donnie Wahlberg!
25:59Thank you for doing that.
26:01Thank you!
26:02That's Donnie Wahlberg right there.
26:04Come on.
26:05That's how you do it.
26:07That is how you do it.
26:08Thank you, thank you, thank you!
26:11Oh, my God.
26:13It is great to see you.
26:14Thank you for doing that.
26:15The sixth new kid.
26:17Yeah.
26:17Yeah, right.
26:18Done.
26:19Thank you for doing the dance.
26:21Thank your audience.
26:22Thank you, Roots.
26:23Thank you, everybody.
26:25Is it like when they put up the bat signal,
26:27your body just goes into the dance?
26:29You got to do it?
26:30You know, I got to be honest.
26:31As I get older, I enjoy it more.
26:35Is that right?
26:36When I was younger, like,
26:37I'd go to a Celtics game or something,
26:38and they'd start playing.
26:39Oh, oh.
26:40And I'd be like,
26:40I just want to watch the game.
26:42And, like, someone would scream
26:43from this side of the balcony,
26:45and someone would call me a loser.
26:47Donnie, you're a loser!
26:48Yeah, yeah.
26:48You know, this side.
26:49That's great.
26:49And as I get older,
26:50I really embrace it.
26:51I really love it.
26:52Yeah, come on.
26:53You're so wonderful.
26:54You're the best.
26:54Yeah.
26:55You've done it, man.
26:56You're it.
26:58Your debut album turned 40 years old this month.
27:02Wow.
27:05Do you ever think...
27:08Did you ever think this kid
27:10would become such a big deal?
27:13Look at this.
27:13Not with that sweater.
27:15Yeah.
27:15No, he's so cool.
27:16No, it's C3.
27:17You can see my chest,
27:18and I'm, like, 14.
27:19It's just weird.
27:20Yeah.
27:20Yeah, it was...
27:22Here we are 40 years later,
27:23it's bigger than ever.
27:24I believed the band would be successful,
27:26if for no other reason.
27:27Maurice Starr, who discovered us,
27:29discovered New Edition,
27:30and they went on to huge success,
27:32and he just kept saying,
27:33let's go, you're gonna be huge,
27:34you're gonna be huge.
27:34And we're like, all right.
27:35Yeah, you're a little kid.
27:36What does that mean?
27:37This already is so exciting.
27:38We're in a hotel room.
27:39Yeah, and yes,
27:41I'm blown away every day
27:43that we're still doing it,
27:44that fans still show up,
27:45that I'm sitting here.
27:47Like, none of this...
27:49It never gets old to me.
27:51I still kind of pinch myself.
27:53I know from those days,
27:53we grew up with nothing.
27:55You know, we had nothing.
27:56All of us.
27:57Nobody in the group.
27:57We all came from very humble beginnings.
28:00Yeah.
28:00And to have succeeded at all
28:02was a miracle,
28:03but to be here,
28:04it's a blessing that beyond...
28:05Starman, you have a Las Vegas residency.
28:07Yeah, yeah.
28:09Here you are with Elvis.
28:11With Vegas Elvis.
28:12Fantastic Elvis right there.
28:14What's that like?
28:16Vegas is incredible.
28:17Our fans are coming
28:18from all around the world.
28:19The show is spectacular.
28:21I hear that it's great.
28:22Yeah, it's really, really good.
28:24And we're just...
28:25We're blessed.
28:26We're gonna update it now
28:27because we've been there
28:28for a year doing it.
28:28We're gonna add some new stuff.
28:29I know there's some blockheads
28:30in the audience.
28:31I saw them during the other segment.
28:33We're gonna...
28:34Shout out to the blockheads.
28:35That's right.
28:36We're gonna fight.
28:37Yeah, we love you.
28:39Let's talk about your news show.
28:40Congratulations on this.
28:41Boston Blue.
28:42It's fantastic.
28:43It's a spinoff of Blue Bloods.
28:45And this time,
28:45your character moves to Boston.
28:47Yeah.
28:47And you're famously from Boston.
28:48I will say this, by the way.
28:50As I went to say hi to you
28:51before the show,
28:51in your dressing room,
28:52you were drinking a Dunkin'.
28:54Yeah.
28:54I go, that is so funny.
28:55And we had donuts, too.
28:56We had actually Dunkin' Donuts.
28:57It's not fake.
28:58He's really...
28:59He's the most realist person I know.
29:01And I was like, I love it.
29:02But on the show,
29:03you play your character.
29:04Danny's from Brooklyn.
29:05Yes.
29:06So I'm a Bostonian,
29:07playing a New Yorker,
29:08moving to Boston.
29:10If you don't win the Emmy,
29:11then I don't know
29:11what we're doing wrong, buddy.
29:13I'll settle for a blockbuster
29:15video award at this point.
29:16But I mean, how do you...
29:17Do you slip into the Boston accent
29:19by mistake?
29:20A little bit.
29:21It happens now,
29:22more so than before,
29:23because I was surrounded
29:24by New Yorkers
29:25when I was playing
29:25Danny Reagan in New York.
29:27So I was constantly on my toes
29:28and they'd laugh at me
29:29if Boston ever slipped out.
29:31And they would torment me,
29:32by the way,
29:32if, like, the Celtics
29:33lost to the Knicks
29:34or the Patriots
29:35lost to the Giants.
29:36I know, it's brutal.
29:37But this show
29:38is a giant hit already.
29:39It's already been renewed
29:40for season two.
29:41So congratulations.
29:42Boston Blue.
29:43Great name, too.
29:44Boston Blue is great.
29:46We just...
29:47First things first,
29:48we have the most incredible cast.
29:49Yeah?
29:49My partner,
29:50Sonequa Martin-Green,
29:51incredible.
29:52Gloria Rubin,
29:52Ernie Hudson,
29:54Marcus Scribner,
29:55Mika Amundsen,
29:56Maggie Lawson.
29:57It's just...
29:58It's incredible.
29:58And we're having such a good time.
29:59The writers are great, too.
30:00The writers are great.
30:01And this Friday's episode
30:03is unbelievable.
30:04We have Jefferson White
30:06from Yellowstone
30:07is playing a hostage taker.
30:10And it's just...
30:11It's an unbelievable episode.
30:12So we're just really excited.
30:13It was hard to follow
30:14in the footsteps of Blue Bloods.
30:15Of course.
30:16And a lot of people thought,
30:17oh, it's a no-brainer.
30:18It was like,
30:18yeah, but if it fails,
30:19you know,
30:20we'll never hear the end of it.
30:21And so we're very relieved
30:22and we really made it
30:23our own show.
30:24And I love the cast.
30:25I love the writers.
30:25We're blessed beyond belief.
30:27And it's a wonderful time.
30:28You got another hit
30:29on your hands, bud.
30:30I want to show a clip.
30:31Here's Donnie Wahlberg
30:32in Boston Blue.
30:34Take a look at this.
30:35Sean wouldn't stop
30:36talking about it,
30:37so I caved and joined.
30:39You joined TikTok on purpose?
30:41I did.
30:42And it's low-key incredible.
30:44Low-key?
30:44If you start shooting TikToks
30:46and MCU,
30:46I'm going to send you
30:47back to Brooklyn.
30:48We would do some good videos
30:49together, you and I.
30:50I'm just saying.
30:51By the way,
30:51you know what skibbity means?
30:53No, I don't,
30:54and neither should you.
30:55We got to change
30:56with the times.
30:56Get along with the people
30:57that were policing.
30:58Danny Reagan,
30:59Gen Alpha Whisperer.
31:01Yeah, I like that.
31:03Come on.
31:04Donnie Wahlberg, everybody.
31:05You can catch a new episode
31:07of Boston Blue
31:08every Friday at 10 p.m.
31:09on CBS and Paramount+.
31:11Morgan Neville joins us
31:13after the break.
31:14Stick around, everybody.
31:30Our next guest is an Oscar-winning documentary filmmaker.
31:35His latest movie is called Lorne,
31:36and it's in theaters now.
31:38Everyone, please welcome Morgan Neville.
31:50Come on.
31:51That's so nice.
31:52Come on, now.
31:54All right.
31:54Oh, my gosh.
31:56Morgan Neville, welcome to the show.
31:57You're one of my favorite directors,
31:59and we actually met before.
32:01We did.
32:02You interviewed me for Lorne,
32:04for the documentary.
32:04You're in it.
32:05I'm in the documentary.
32:06I know that was my favorite part.
32:07You're great.
32:07Yeah, thank you, yeah.
32:09You do a doc on our pal,
32:11the great Lorne Michaels,
32:12and I got to say,
32:14that is a tough gig.
32:15It's incredibly hard.
32:17I mean, it's like trying to make a film
32:18about the Wizard of Oz, you know.
32:20It kind of is.
32:21He's an inscrutable character,
32:23and I had to scrut him somehow.
32:25Yeah.
32:26He doesn't like talking about himself.
32:28He's very humble, and he's just like,
32:29yeah, he just wants everything around him
32:32to kind of work.
32:32How did you find out
32:33that you were going to do this documentary?
32:35I don't even know how it happened.
32:37I never pitched him on making this film.
32:38He never agreed to make the film.
32:41But somehow it happened.
32:43I mean, really what happened is,
32:44you know, going back before SNL 50,
32:47before the 50th anniversary,
32:48years ago, three years ago,
32:50he said, well, let's meet
32:52and talk about documentary ideas.
32:54He said, come to my office.
32:55It was a show week.
32:57Nine o'clock, let's have a meeting.
32:58So I go into Lauren's office,
33:00nine o'clock,
33:01and there are 16 people in the room.
33:03And he said, so what are your ideas?
33:05And Higgins was in the room,
33:07all the senior writers, everybody.
33:09And I just said, okay, I stand up.
33:11I start pitching all these ideas,
33:12and I'm just going and going.
33:14And I finish, and I sit down,
33:16and Lauren doesn't say anything.
33:18So then I said, so any thoughts?
33:20Any ideas?
33:21And he turns to one of his producers
33:23and says, Caroline, what did you think?
33:25And she said, well,
33:26I thought there were some good things.
33:27Like, she didn't want to get called on.
33:29She tosses the hot potato to the next person.
33:31And then finally, the meeting just ends,
33:33and I walk out with Katie Hochmeyer,
33:35the head of NBC Late Night,
33:36and I said, what just happened?
33:37She said, oh, he likes you.
33:40So I have this story
33:41that all the cast members tell
33:43about getting hired
33:44and not knowing you got hired.
33:46Yeah, but you did such a great job.
33:48I mean, he's such an interesting guy.
33:50And when you're doing this,
33:52when you're talking to all these legends,
33:54you're talking to Chris Rock,
33:55you're talking to Mike Myers,
33:57do you get, I don't know,
34:00you don't get intimidated,
34:01but do you?
34:02Do you go like, well,
34:03I'm talking to these comedies.
34:03I mean, they love talking about Lauren.
34:06You know, they're not talking about themselves.
34:07They're talking about somebody
34:08who, for most of them,
34:10completely changed their life.
34:12I mean, you're one of those people.
34:13Completely changed my life.
34:14I mean, NBC didn't really even want me
34:16to host Late Night,
34:18and this is true.
34:19And Lauren said,
34:20if you have to do it with Jimmy,
34:22if you don't, then I'm not doing it.
34:23That's amazing.
34:24And he really went to bat for me.
34:26I would not have his time.
34:27He's the best.
34:29For so many people.
34:31Oh, yeah.
34:31Conan.
34:32Conan O'Brien.
34:33You know, so many people.
34:35So many people.
34:35He gets their back.
34:36He's loyal.
34:37I think you captured him so perfectly.
34:39It's just, everything about him is great.
34:42Did he get, did he see the film?
34:44Because I don't think he's going to.
34:45He told me the entire time he made this film,
34:47he was never going to watch the film.
34:49Yes.
34:49He always says, I'm never going to,
34:50I don't read anything.
34:51I don't watch anything.
34:52He doesn't watch it so now after it airs,
34:54that's the end of it.
34:54So we had a premiere recently here in New York,
34:57and there was a seat held open for him,
35:00and I didn't think he was going to watch it.
35:02After the movie ended,
35:03people started coming up to me and saying,
35:04Lauren watched the film.
35:05Lauren watched the film.
35:07And so it blew my mind.
35:08And so there was a party afterwards,
35:10and Lauren's in this corner booth,
35:11and I walk up to him and he nods at me and says,
35:14good.
35:16Take the W.
35:17That is a five-star review.
35:19Take the W.
35:20That's a win right there.
35:21I want to show everyone a clip.
35:23Here's a look at Morgan Neville's documentary,
35:25Lauren.
35:26Enjoy.
35:27The questions you want to ask Lauren,
35:29I would ask other people,
35:30and then they'll give you a bunch of different answers,
35:33and then you can cut them together to funny music.
35:36Exactly.
35:36Do you know anything about his childhood?
35:43Suburb of Toronto?
35:44Uh-huh.
35:44Right?
35:45That's Canada.
35:46He liked hockey.
35:48Liked hockey.
35:49A lot of, like, outdoor hockey kind of stuff.
35:53Fishing and, you know, stuff like that.
35:56If you told me he made maple syrup,
35:57I would believe you.
35:58I guess I don't know what his dad did.
36:02We should ask him.
36:04We should, like, meet Lauren.
36:06Just talk to him.
36:08Yeah, you should meet Lauren, yeah.
36:10It's fantastic.
36:11Congratulations.
