00:00Since 2024, thousands of people have used RF5 in real life, and their feedback helped shape what came next.
00:07Before Gen 2, this was the reality for our users.
00:11I shoot a lot of video with drones, action cams, 360 cameras, and gimbal cameras, and almost all of them
00:19use microSD cards.
00:21But the strange thing is, my iPhone, the device I use the most, doesn't support microSD at all.
00:27And now, even a lot of Android phones are getting rid of the microSD slot.
00:32So how am I supposed to access all that footage?
00:34Have you ever run into that problem?
00:36I kept thinking, what if there were a simple solution?
00:39Something small, sleek, and easy to carry.
00:43Something that could read a microSD card and stay attached to my phone, so it's always there when I need
00:49it.
00:49As a creator, storage matters a lot.
00:52Sometimes, I just want to expand my storage with a microSD card, or even an SSD when I need more
00:59space.
00:59And sometimes I want to shoot ProRes on my iPhone, whether it's with a native camera or Blackmagic cam, and
01:05keep everything in 4K.
01:07And when my phone starts filling up with photos and videos, I just want to back everything up in one
01:12step.
01:13Normally, moving files takes way too many steps.
01:16Sometimes, it's even better not to open an app, just tap and sync.
01:20And sometimes, for vlogging, I need more than just storage.
01:25Fast charging, a wireless mic, a wired mic, maybe even 3.5mm audio.
01:31And if there's no Wi-Fi, I might need Ethernet.
01:34Different shoots need different setups.
01:37And sometimes, modules can get in the way.
01:39That's why adapter kits make the whole setup a lot more flexible.
01:43It also makes moving files between devices way easier.
01:47MicroSD, SSD, phone, computer, iPad, even between Android and iPhone.
01:54And it works with almost any setup I already use.
01:57A normal phone case, lens cases, camera cages.
02:01That's exactly why we built iV5 Gen 2.
02:05A modular ecosystem that brings microSD, and everything around it, back to smartphones.
02:10Compatible with iPhone, whether it's Lightning or USB-C and Android.
02:15And just so you know, all the footage in this video was shot using iV5 with a mobile phone.
