03:30My name is Steve Burke and I'm your MC for this morning's service.
03:36I'd like to begin by acknowledging the traditional owners of the land on which we meet today
03:42and pay my respects to others past and present.
05:55early ceremonies, April 25th, the anniversary of the landings at Gallipoli has become a national day
06:03of remembrance, Anzac Day. So on the 111th anniversary of the landings at Gallipoli,
06:12and on behalf of the President and members of the Bendigo District RSL South Branch,
06:18welcome to our dawn service. To begin this morning's reflections, Bendigo District RSL
06:27committee member Cam Scott will read a prayer.
06:43Gracious Lord God, at the start of this new day, on the 111th anniversary of the landings at Antac
06:54Cove, we gather to remember and give thanks to the original Anzacs, especially those who gave their
07:04lives in the service of our country. As we do so, we remember all who have served this, our nation,
07:16in our armed forces over so many years, so many conflicts, so many lives sacrificed,
07:26so that we can live in peace in this, the greatest country on earth.
07:33We give thanks for those from every nation who are deployed on across this troubled world.
07:41We pray that all people might seek and be able to live in peace and harmony with one another.
07:50We pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
