00:05On April 1st, 2026, the San Francisco Police Department received a report of a stolen vehicle
00:11from South San Francisco traveling near 8th and Market Street. Officers confirmed the vehicle
00:18was still stolen, and a drone quickly located it in the area. When officers attempted a traffic
00:23stop, the driver refused to yield. Officers deployed spike strips, but the suspect continued
00:29to flee, driving through city streets and onto the freeway for nearly 30 minutes. The pursuit
00:35moved on to the Bay Bridge, where CHP units took over. The vehicle eventually stopped near
00:42Treasure Island. The driver exited, climbed over the edge of the bridge, and moved underneath.

00:51The drone's looking. They're underneath us right here. While underneath the bridge, the suspect
00:54was seen hanging precariously from beams via a drone feed.
00:57It looks like he's climbing his way under the bridge, eastbound, towards our last hour.
01:02Multiple agencies responded, including Marine units, a fireboat, a CHP helicopter, and drones,
01:08maintaining visual contact and preparing for a possible rescue.

01:14Crisis Intervention Team and Hostage Crisis Negotiation Team units also responded to the scene
01:19to assist with communications as well to help bring the suspect off the bridge.
01:25After several minutes hiding inside a support beam, the suspect climbed back onto the bridge
01:30and was taken into custody without incident.
