00:00As global energy routes shift and geopolitical tensions reshape supply chains,
00:04the Caspian region is becoming increasingly strategic.
00:07The Caspian and Central Asia Oil Trading and Logistics Forum
00:10is the latest platform to discuss the challenges that lie ahead.
00:13As you know, Azerbaijan is a really gate for the movement between East and West,
00:18and investment into this part of the world is crucial and important,
00:22and particularly in the highlighting with the geopolitical situations.
00:25The Middle Corridor links Central Asia to Europe through the Caspian Sea.
00:29South Caucasus and Turkey.
00:31As traditional supply chains face disruption,
00:33governments and companies are looking to diversify transport routes and reduce geopolitical risk.
00:3980% of oil goes via CPC pipeline, Caspian Pipeline Consortium.
00:45That's why Middle Corridor, as I said, is very important,
00:48and definitely Kazakhstan is seeking alternative roads and investors who can support this road.
00:55Azerbaijan sits at the center of that corridor,
00:58connecting oil and refined products from Central Asia and the Caspian Basin
01:02to global markets through pipelines, ports and rail networks.
01:06Work with the governments, these area governments.
01:08It would help all around, and it would be a hedge against these volatile significant costs
01:15that go up for the individual companies.
01:17It would be much better for them.
01:18But expanding capacity remains a major challenge, from port infrastructure to rail connections
01:24and shipping across the Caspian Sea, both westwards and east.
01:28I think that these Central Asian countries need to look at Pakistan specifically and South Asia in general
01:35in terms of investing in infrastructure to bring their gas down south.
01:41As governments and companies search for more resilient supply chains,
01:45the race to develop new corridors across Eurasia is accelerating,
01:49placing the Caspian region firmly on the global energy map.
