00:00He's an experienced captain from his time at Juckland and got a lot of confidence from that plus his own
00:05form in the last sort of 6 to 12 months has been exceptional. So I think it's just a real
00:11confident nature to him. He likes being in the thick of things as you can see when he gave up
00:18with keeping so he could be closer to the bowlers and got a really good understanding from them and the
00:23two young bowlers that have come in, well three actually, Hinge, Shakib and Shivang have really benefited from his experience.
00:30So he's got a nice balance of obviously an exceptional player who leads with his own performance but also really
00:41good feel for the guys within the group and I think we've seen over the years that the Jaipur wicket
00:46probably doesn't quite have the bounce but it's in some ways favourable to fast bowling because if you hit a
00:53good length then you can be effective and I suppose that's been the main messaging to the fast bowling group
00:59so far.
01:00If you can find that length then you'll have success here. I think if you give width or over pitch
01:05then any batsman but in particular the Rajstam batsman who have been so good this year they can really dominate.
01:12So the onus in this game is on execution.
01:16Yeah it's a strange thing you know sometimes when you're top three get a lot of the runs the middle
01:20order doesn't get enough exposure but it's something we did speak about and we have all the skill and it's
01:27just a case of being a little bit smarter through the middle.
01:30It's also exciting to know that there's so much that they can offer us as we go through the tournament.
01:35So if they do come good and when they do come good I think it's a big advantage for us
01:38and they're really determined to do well, they're practicing well, they've got all their plans in mind and they've just
01:45got to build partnerships and stay in the game for as long as possible.
01:47So I'm pretty confident they will come back. I think he's batting really well. You know that was asked this
01:53question before as well and I think you know when you're batting well sometimes you don't always score you get
01:58out but I would have only been concerned if he's not hitting the ball well. I think he's hitting it
02:03really well.
02:04He just needs to you know stitch together a few more runs so that he sets himself a good platform
02:09to attack at the end.
