00:02City Hall hopes London's hosting of the first Tour de France Femmes team Triumph in 2027 will
00:09encourage more women to cycle across the capital. The race will feature an 18km circuit finishing
00:15on the Mall in August 2027. It forms part of three days of racing across Britain including
00:21stages from Leeds to Manchester and Manchester to Sheffield. Organisers say it could become
00:27the most attended women's sporting event ever staged in Britain. Officials point to a gender gap in
00:33cycling with fewer than a third of journeys in London made by women. They also say improved
00:38infrastructure aims to boost participation further.
