A Monster Hunter Wilds player on PC discovered a strange performance fix: the game runs significantly better when all DLC is enabled. The catch? You don't actually have to buy it. Find out how a mod tricking the game led to this discovery.

00:00What if, I told you, those stutters, FPS drops and hubs that crawl in Monster Hunter Wilds
00:06on PC could be fixed?
00:08All you have to do is spend $500 on DLC, or at least trick the game into thinking you've
00:14done this.
00:15A Monster Hunter Wilds player noticed performance improves on PC when all the DLC is enabled.
00:21A Reddit user, going by DTilmirande, pointed out that the game ran way better when he logged
00:26into his friend's account, which had all the DLC installed.
00:30Now, before anyone runs out buying hundreds of dollars worth of DLC, they didn't actually
00:35unlock everything.
00:36They used a mod that just makes the game think the DLC is there, and performance soared.
00:42DTilmirande says they don't believe Capcom did this on purpose, rather, it seems like
00:47a bug in the code that the company needs to fix.
00:50However, they did say that if Capcom don't fix this mess, they'll look into releasing
00:54the mod that they used to bypass the DLC checks.
