00:01:47surfing accident. Severed a few of my facial nerves. I did a lot of damage. Oh what did
00:01:53the did you get hit with the board? Yeah it was like a gnarly scar down there. I was knocked
00:01:58completely
00:01:59unconscious and I had a complete right-sided facial palsy so I had no movement at all. My
00:02:05eye didn't close. My lip didn't lift. How old were you? 12. My goodness. Like I was told I'd never
00:02:12sing
00:02:12again. I was told I would never live a normal life. And the nurses were the shining light? The
00:02:19nurses were the shining light and I think there's such there's something so special about being able
00:02:24to give back in that way that you've been there. Like there's nothing like knowing that someone's
00:02:30going through something and I was also there too. You must have done a lot of like therapy like
00:02:36movement therapy and like. A lot of work a lot of determination so I'm definitely like I'm here for
00:02:42my my younger self to prove to her that we can do it. I love that. We can do it.

00:08:34well.
00:08:35I'm getting really emotional about this actually because I haven't thought about it in a while.
00:08:41But that was the moment.

00:08:44I was like, if dad thinks it's good, it's good.
